  1. IB -> Online. I usually always IB multi-hit stuff, but I didn't want to risk it here. Yeah, I shouldn't have full charged it and should have released on cat chair recovery, but I thought it would have time to go off and then I could go into corner combo. I'm still satisfied with how the round went, though.

  3. Ok, I'll be bursting it smartly from now on, then. I've also finally gotten around to uploading my last CT vid. Not my best performance, but I consider it to be some of my best possible play nevertheless. With CS, though, I'll refine my play much more. Only 11 days to go.
  4. Sweet matches, Spark. Congrats on winning EVO for what it's worth. Upload moar vids, too. We can't rely on inconsistent (they don't always record) JP vids. If you could make regular uploads, and maybe show how to play certian matchups, that would be incredible, and I think the Haku community would really benefit from it. It might be a bit much to ask, but it would be greatly appreciated! So stealing that Shippu burst bait -> Kisshu x2 -> Gurren -> Shippu Mugen combo. :3 Otherwise, great play. Bookmarking the vid for future reference.
  5. Nooo... does that mean all the 6c CH combo I developed in CT are now worthless? Goddamn it, Arc. Well, at least we can still combo after it, but it's just not the same now. Guess I'll have to find something else to spam.
  6. Because... huh... because bursting in CT is like years of heavy smoking; it's bad for your health! /bad joke I was just being lazy, I guess. I don't like bursting when I have a chunk of hp left, and this being online, I was waiting for him to drop the combo... I don't really have excuses here, it's sloppy online play on my part. >_>

  9. Haku's Mission Challenges (#'s 6-10) were posted in the vid thread, re-posting here. They all look easy save for #10, which I tried last week when Kuru posted it. Not too hard, it just has some tricky bits in the hop Hot & Kisshu cross-up. Besides that, it's a repetitive motion. Shouldn't turn out too challenging, imo, but that's kind of disappointing. I wanted a few hard ones, at least.
  10. To be fair, we don't have the game yet, so it's still speculation. Then again, I saw her frame data posted in one of the sticky'd threads, and it was fairly average. Her only annoying feature so far (imo) is her shield thingy which blasts you to the other end of the screen, but it seems easy enough to bait into massive 6c CH combo. I'm pretty sure we have yet to discover her really damaging stuff, though. He's referring to this vid of mine. I stopped playing CT two weeks ago because I'm as good as I'll ever be with the game, the bullshit Haku goes through got to me, and CS is just better. I do have one final vid to post, though, which is pretty much some of the best play I'm capable of. Stay tuned.
  11. Her lasers suck from what I can see of vids with Mu. You can easily dodge/run through them. They aren't good for certain characters, though, but Haku isn't one of them because she has to get close if she wants to deal damage. Also, her stuff is pretty reactable/predictable from what I've seen since she's got only minor mix-up abilities. Keep her honest with 4.5k combos. 5-5 at worst, imo. She doesn't have anything Haku can't give back times two.

  13. No, keep the names. BBCS challenge mode uses names for specials, so you should too. No reason not to since they also minimize clutter. I suggest making two different combo lists: one for optimal, max-damage/position stuff and another for the flashy/weird properties/etc. stuff so people can pick-and-choose and know exactly what they are getting. This irked me to no end with the Rachel forum's combo list, it was all mashed-up together and I had no idea which combo was the best to use. You can also post stuff in BB code tags to make it easier to read. This kind of stratified organization might just be a result of the German blood in me, but I find it makes it much easier and more readable to sort through combos. You can even further break it down with bold/italic/colour text where appropriate. If I were to make my own combo list, I'd do it this way. The workload is on you, but everything you do should be to make it as simple and easy as possible for the reader to understand (that's my policy, anyway). EDIT: Whoa, that came out way bad, not like it was in "preview post". I'll edit it properly once I have time. For now, I hope you get the gist of it, at least. EDIT2: Aligned the dmg values, and it turns out the table doesn't display correctly for fault of a horizontal scroll bar, which is absent for some unknown reason. I think I'll cut out the notes just for the sake of appearances. But this shouldn't be happening. Anyone know how to make the tags work properly? EDIT3: Cut out the notes, bolded the normal starter, and updated the combos for more recent usage. Looks much better now.

Until you win, win again, and keep winning. Hate to lose, train smart, think hard, and overflow with rage against those stronger than you because you belong on top, and you'll tear them down with raw skill to get there! Yo, jk le vieux.   17. Looking over Spark's vid again, is it just me or can you do j.2c lower than you could in CT? Does this mean you can do 5a AA CH -> 5c x2?
  18. ... My next vids will contain 56% more Hotaru for your viewing pleasure. Seriously, though, I'd use it more, but its horizontal range is what gets me every time. Yeah, I should TK it more when they're on top of me, but it's not a habit I got into since I'm always cautious when they're pressuring me. Yeah, I'm a bit too enthusiastic about 6c, but the damage you get on CH has me addicted to it.

  20. Yeah, I'm aware of the formula. I was just surprised you could do tsubaki after an AA hit and still combo after it.

  23. Huh... kinda discovered something cool... I think. Off AA CH moves like 5a 5b, and 2c, you can do the regular following tsubaki combo: -> TK Tsubaki -> 5c -> Enma -> j.C -> 2c -> sj.2c -> AD j.2c 6a only seems to be able to follow up with tsubaki, and only combos at a certain spacing. Not worth it anyway. Damage values are as follows: 5a: 3890 5b: 4663 2c: 4428 Not bad at all! Most are close to the optimal 4.7k you get off regular tsubaki starter, too. Cool. Hotaru also works, of course, and for less stars, but generally less damage too.
  24. Ah yeah, heard about it. Really not sure what to think about it, but so far my sentiments are pretty negative. Having core content like that be DLC just doesn't sit right with me. How about ya, though? Sounds like you're really anticipating it. :3

Ranking among similar match-up values are significant (i.e. Noel is harder than Tao for ex.): vs. Arakune: Not winnable assuming top Ara. 9-1 otherwise. vs. Nu: 3.5-6.5. Maybe 4-6 if you play perfect. vs. Rachel: 4-6 vs. Noel: 4.5-5.5 vs. Tao: 4.5-5.5 vs. Ragna: 4.5-5.5 vs. Jin: 5-5 vs. Carl: 5-5 vs. Litchi: 5-5 vs. Tager: 5-5 vs. Bang: 5-5 Now, personal match-ups, I'd change it to: vs. Tager: 2-8. I hate hate hate hate hate hate going vs. Tager. vs. Rachel: 2.5-7.5. Mix-ups, guard breaks, big damage, and zoning. Oh my. vs. Hakumen: 5-5, but I die a little inside every time. EDIT: To sum up Haku's matches in CT: you hate everyone pretty much equally and wish CS would drop already.
