  1. I've been hearing Tsubaki being described as "Poor man's Ragna" any truth to that? Because if so, sad face.
  2. God, today I realized that I suck at fighting other Ragnas. Primarily ones that are better at playing defense than I am.
  3. What are some good strings? What leads into what? Is there any truly safe way for Ragna to mix-up?
  4. The average Ragna combo seems to do roughly 3200+ damage now (With some higher end combos coming close to 5k), and seeing how easy it is for Ragna to do combos still he's shaping up to be a very strong character.
  5. It's not so bad as long as you can navigate past the pumpkin and frog + cannon spam. If you can IB the pumpkin it becomes pretty easy to get in, too bad it's hard to actually do anything with that opening.
  6. I still say this is the stupidest matchup for Ragna, Rachel can literally crouch barrier block the whole match and be safe except for TK GH. I mean, 6B comes out way to slow to be effective in this matchup and 6D -> j.D places you too far away. What a dumb ass move, making a character immune to OVERHEADS. And then if you do manage to get Rachel into a combo, chances are it won't work do to her small hitbox. Wtf.

Yeah, my problem is just that Ragna's mixup seems a bit bad, at least compared to the rest of the cast. 2B -> 6B only works so many times, and 6C seems to only come out on certain setups during blockstrings. 2D is extremely punishable, IB'd or no and everyone always seems to see GH coming. Not to mention that as soon as Ragna gets pushed away you pretty much can safely block high and not worry about getting hit. What i've been trying lately is 2Bxn -> 6B once they finally decide to block low, but it's extremely interruptable. Maybe if I can ever perfect doing TK GH on whim I know 3C -> TK GH is a decent mixup and leads to awe inspiring damage if you can do it properly.

  10. It just seems that when the opponent is Nu all they have to do is get one hit on me on a whiff punish attempt (Punishing jump BB that is) -> 4k damage combo -> Fly to the other side of the screen -> Spam 5D on wakeup -> I close in again -> repeat.
  11. Is there anything I can do against jumping barrier block ? This has become quite the popular tactic as of late to run away from me all match and then counter attack. Do I just wait for them to land? What if they just bunny hop all over the place? So frustrating.
  12. Amazing gimmick - Blocked Black Onslaught -> ID It's amazing how often this wins me matches.

  14. Judging from this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cn9MkcxvRbE You can no longer finish Hell's Fang (Or at least, execute the followup) after Belial Edge. Might just be input error or Tao's hitbox though. Probably Tao's hitbox EDIT - He finishes it mid screen, but never in the corner. Maybe it's the way Belial Edge connects? And speaking of Belial Edge it looks like an actually useful move. WAY faster than it was in Loke testing from what i've seen.
  15. Am I the only one who still has trouble seeing this as an even matchup for Ragna? Maybe it's because I have trouble doing 6A on reaction consistently, but it just seems Jin is so...safe even on IB in some cases. Very annoying. Seems at the very least NOT a 5-5 I'd call it 4.5-5 in favor of Jin. Not bad enough to be a 4-6 though.

  17. Black Onslaught beats 720 and if all else fails, just play defensively and just outrange Tager if he tries coming at you. Tager winning this matchup depends upon Ragna getting punished via backdash/360/720

  20. Abuse jump cancels when you can, 6A and 3C are both jump cancleable and make for a great guessing game. Also, try to play a poking game more. It's ok to start combos with 2A, but sometimes waiting for your opponent to screw up and then using Ragna's long range to his advantage is great too.

  23. Well, Ouroborous (sp) Hazama's Drive is a universal symbol of eternity and rebirth So I think everyone has just assumed Terumi revived in Hazama's body as his next incarnation. I mean, you can see at the start of the game he's little more than a disembodied spirit.
  24. I think that it's just referring to a release of the Azure (See True Ending VS. Hakumen).
  25. Learn to mixup. It sounds simple but knowing when to poke low and when to go overhead helps immensely. Once your opponent gets locked into a certain way of blocking, mix it up. Keep them guessing.
