  1. Also, besides 5B-6A, what are some other strings to invest in on a "My first blockstring" level? Most of the stuff I had been going for B.A. (Before Asswhoop), was dashing resets; which against somebody who won't respond to conditioning I've found, is worthless.
  2. Eh, I don't understand all the hate. Other than the occasional face that looked like it came straight out of a Studio Gonzo project it looks fine to me.
  3. There were so many times I nearly slapped myself in the face for missing a forward super jump while I was on P2 side of the screen and horribly dropping a combo because of it (Such as jumping straight up, or jumping backwards some how...God knows how that works out). Halfway through our matches I realized 2B was getting me nowhere but dead, but I'm so conditioned to using it (Not knowing anything else to do also contributed) I just couldn't stop myself even if it meant eating 5B every single time. As for the 6A, that was more of something that I just started getting paranoid on as the matches continued.
  4. Americans yo, can't block dem overheads (Especially in online lag) EDIT - Damn Beast, give me a game already EDIT EDIT - Something tells me you were going for an astral EDIT EDIT EDIT - ASTRAL JUKED EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT - WHY AM I ALWAYS SO CLOSE YET SO FAR EDITx5 - Well, this has been an amazing lesson on spacing and the power of 5B at the very least EDITx6 - It's also been a lesson on why I should never do GH ever again EDITx7 - Among other things EDITxAstral - Your greed is betraying you Edit 28 losses later - Well, I'd love to say I know what I was doing wrong after all those ass whoopings but unfortunately that isn't the case
  5. Just bringing something that's been bothering me for awhile to greater attention. Many of the character sub-forums are incredibly disorganized, it is very hard for users trying to learn new characters (Myself included) to find a comprehensive guide for a character without digging through multiple pages/threads to find the information they want. Obviously, some of the character forums are more well organized than others (Whereas with some I struggle to find basic BnB combos listed...). I am simply proposing that the BB character subforums (As a whole) isolate threads where combos/basic guide information are listed from threads pertaining to character discussion. This makes things more accessible, and prevents clutter (Making things easier to find). I feel that the Ragna Sub-Forum is currently the best organized having - A comprehensive guide which lists the character's move list (With annotative descriptions), BnB combos (Listing the damage of each combo), general character information, and a FAQ section. A combo thread that is completely isolated from any discussion, or separate information A thread including a detailed list of changes from CT -> CS, including damage and protration values A frequently updated video thread A discussion thread allocated to anything else involving the character Obviously, going from organization such as that to a different character's guide with 16+ pages of dispersed information is not the best experience. I realize now that the amount of time and effort it would take to recompile all of the information scattered throughout the other character sub-forums into a uniform structure would be massive. However, if everything becomes streamlined per character it not only makes the layout look nicer; it also makes it more accessible.
  6. So today while I was in a room with Titanium and St1ck, I realized something. Against a D mashing Noel (A slightly intelligent one at the least, who knows when to strategically use their drive in strings), I am helpless. Other than 6A seems to be the best option since it stuffs 2D completely and has good active frames, but things like 5B, 5C and even 2C were getting stuffed like none other. Horrible experience. Then again, I'm pretty sure my Ragna gradually became worse over the course of that room due to the lag spikes. EDIT - I also realized I suck at tracking movement, Titanium was all over my ass on the approach and I couldn't predict shit
  7. Most troubles I've had connecting with the j.2C -> dash links involve delaying j.2C as long as possible (Allowing you to be as close as possible to the ground when you need to dash). Also, try prematurely entering the 2B input as you dash, even if you aren't in range yet the sooner you put in that input the better.
  8. So, am I blind or does the current Mu-12 guide not mention that holding the D button when setting up steins results in more hits + more damage?
  9. Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. In CT I swear they don't say Gauntlet hades.
  10. Really? in my version the Jap voices just say some really bizzare shit that sounds like a child being strangled.
  11. I can't be sure. Like I said, it's reminiscent, so it's probably innuendo.
  12. Something to note, when Kokonoe recites Ragna's move names its reminiscent of the "GIGANTIC TAGER" from Teach me!
  13. Discussion pertaining to Mu-12 vs. Ragna should go here. Ragna is comfortable at mid range, and up close (For you Mu-12 players out there, you like being at the former range). Problem is Ragna's normals are much faster (If not a tad shorter) than yours. It's imperative that you keep Ragna afraid of you, you are both made of glass but his damage and reversal options are superior to yours (Especially his damage). Keep him guessing, and for the love of God don't try to start every combo with a low. You have j.2C and that overhead for a reason. Bottom line - At mid range you have a chance, at close range you are probably already in the corner and about to be dead. Just hope the Ragna player gets distracted by your almost nude ass long enough for you to kill him. P.S. - 2C wrecks your shit.
  14. My assessment of Rachel's Joke ending, don't put too much weight on it since I can only go off what little I'm able to garner or assume from the scenario. I eagerly await someone to translate this ending though Rachel finds Ragna eating with Platinum in the Orient Town Restaurant (Same one where they eat in Ragna's story). They talk for awhile and Rachel ends up calling Ragna a lolicon. Rachel says she has a present for Ragna and gives him these funky pink shades, then summons Valkenhyn (During this time Ragna seems like he's frozen in time or something, or at least oblivious to what's going on around him). Valkenhyn shows up, talks for a bit and then leaves. Ragna snaps back to reality. Platinum immediately starts acting super freaky around Ragna, and seems to be switching between her Sena and Luna personalities (Pretty sure Luna fawns over him while Sena calls him a pervert). Ragna is flipping a shit at this point and is trying to figure out what Rachel did to him. Eventually (After much banter), Litchi, Kokonoe and Noel all bust into the restaurant looking for Ragna. Litchi says something to Ragna and you hear Bang screaming out in the background (Similar to the way he screams in Litchi's ending when Bang assumes she's in love w/ Ragna). Kokonoe, Noel, and Litchi banter for a bit. Ragna responds to something Kokonoe says which prompts Litchi to hit him. Rachel is loving every second of this. More banter. Kokonoe starts reciting all of Ragna's specials in a comical manner in Ragna's voice (INFERNO DIVIDER!) (HELLSU FANGU!) (GAUNTLETO HADES!) (DEADTO SPIKU!). Noel freaks out after this (Maybe it was a sexual innuendo, I have no clue). At this point Platinum re-enters the picture and says something, all three of the other girls (Litchi, Noel, and Kokonoe) yall at her at the same time. Ragna is still flipping a shit trying to figure out what is going on. Glass shatters and Makoto, Nirvana and Lambda-11 burst into the restaurant. Makoto has the stereotypical glazed over eyes thing going on, Nirvana is silent, and Lambda-11 tries to speak in her broken Nu-13 voice. CG of Ragna being hugged and fawned over by all the women appears. Noel says something to (or about) Nirvana in a distressed voice, everyone ends up saying something about Noel in series (I'm guessing it's about her breasts, I mean, what else would she be freaking out about). Jin now bursts into the restaurant. Rachel is surprised. Jin is raving mad (And using his NIIII~SAN!!! Voice at that). Rachel evacuates the restaurant as sounds of battle are heard in the background, Jin can be heard summoning Yukianesa. As she flees into the Orient Town screen an explosion can be seen to the left of her. Route ends with Rachel putting on a pair of glasses similar to the pair she gave Ragna.
  15. Does Mu have anyway to combo off her Overhead without Corner + Heat loss?
  16. The above method has worked perfectly thus far, thanks for the help.
  17. Against Ragna (Mirror) j.C-j.D-jc-j.C has been the only way I can consistently achieve combos. I had been using the double j.C but i'll keep testing it to make sure it isn't the height i'm at when BE starts.
  18. Also, what marks the distinction between BE bouncing an opponent (IE, standard combo opportunity) and them just becoming grounded and immediately being able to tech. The guide says it's got to do with the angle of approach, but I'm not sure exactly how that would be able to be changed. The greatest offender of BE not bouncing for me has been when attempting 5D -> 5C -> j.C -> etc combos
  19. Whats up with the timing on Ragna's dash 5B after 22C, it always seems to come out too late for me Am i just too slow?
  20. Just got my CS

  21. Are there any palletes up for Ragna's DLC colors in CS?
  22. Question (CS) - In the corner I see more Ragnas using 2C -> 5D -> etc as opposed to the standard dash 5B -> 6A -> etc. Is 2C the accepted "If you're within range, do it" in most GH started combos?
  23. If it's an overhead it's unsafe. End of story.
  24. As something that can be mashed out of, the 6D whiff is something that should be used sparingly. However, if you can get your opponent in a rut of only blocking delayed 6Ds (That still connect) the whiff might be useful.
