  1. I need some help how are you guys dealing with Vatista. she just jumps back throwing projectiles and pressing j.C and nothing I do seems to work other then vorpal>421C

I'm pretty sure Hilda:Sion is like 10:0 in 1 bar lag...I can't believe I hit okay. edit: ggs a good number of quality players on Ranked today...I wish I could tell what character someone picks before starting a match. Like I'm fine with 2 bar connections against most people but a few...Carmine, Hilda, Vatista, I have serious issues.

  4. They must be hiding in player matches, I don't have much vs Eltnum experience. Pro tip against Merkava if you shield the last hit of his the 100 meter mudamuda super, everyone I have checked so far can 2A it. Other then that I'm pretty sure everyone is lacking Merkava experience every one I have played has had a very different style.
  5. Okay that's good to know I thought it was plus because I tried mashing 2A twice after predicting a roll post fireball, or do I have to shield the fireball to make the above happen? The real scariest thing about Linne is assault C in 2 bar or less connection.
  6. Jeez, now I feel like an extra mean asshole. I should know better then to vent on a forum by now. I gotta figure out my shield times against Linne, I know you were one of the ones I fought today/yesterday Bolt ggs. I feel like when she is at Minus frames she can sit right in the sweet spot outside of my 2B and still have normals wayyyyy faster then mine. That and I got hit byfireball>roll>thrown like a zillion times.
  7. Shield blocks most things in the air. Yeah and you probably won too, also were you dropping combos/under 1 bar because I do have a bad habit of mashing on drops even when the other person clearly has frame advantage? Also it takes like 200-300 matches to hit 1million...I'm not the Gordeau with like 1.5k games played or whatever it is now.

Hahaha these combos are silly. 5B>2B>2C>j.[C] works 2A>2B>2C>5[C] works 5B>2B>2C>5[C] drops 2A>2B>2C>j.[C] drops Yeah meaty 66B>214A is really good. 66C is also really good, it crushes low pokes, and is a very fast overhead, and beats assaults ohh jeez. With CS it's pretty easy to safe jump it too.
  9. A humble request to all the people on ranked, please stop randomly guessing on wakeup between mashing/throwing and dragon punching...like this is really REALLY FUCKING ANNOYING AND NOT VERY GOOD.

  12. Koihime Defense force has arrived. Netcode is pretty good in Koihime for what you need it to do; since Koihime really isn't about combo timing outside of backwards hitbox fatal combos. Most of what matters online is if you can react to overheads/walk up throw. So the slower frame rate for more lag actually works fantastic, the only thing it really changes is it makes jump in's go from a bad idea to a really bad idea. My Impressions on Kannei: f.5B being gone is really going to hurt...my frametraps :/. new 2C... HOLY CRAP a new low, and it looks like a great poke and safe at distance. Gonna be nice especially after the recent damage nerf(yeah the PS3 version got patched a few times) to her 236X->A and 236X-B series which looks like it got kept. Everything else looks the same j.2C still really good. 236A+B still OP I still need a confirmation that cl.5B > 236C->B(Crossunder) still works mid fatal. New characters. Spear Girl: pfffffff 3k+ midscreen meterless what is this. Sword girl: Looks like we finally found a character with a better 5A then Kakouton...and she has a command throw hahahahahaa. Boxer: Looks like she has REALLY easy confirms, she looks like another Kannei really but it doesn't look like anyone has her figured out yet.
  13. If 5C isn't stable you are doing something else in the combo wrong. It's pretty much why I do 623[X] > j.6D~4 j.C land 5C instead it always puts them at the right height. If you mean grounded stuff, that spacing confirm got beaten into everyone in AH3, because you needed it for Suki unblockable. j.6B is my generic approach, and I struggle sometimes getting j.6B > 623[X] consistently. I guess thinking about it I should be able to confirm the counter hit properly, but landing and doing a rejump is a good bit more stable. Off anti air 236X~C 5B and 5A will whiff at certain spacings but you can just do j.6B if it's counter hit and j.A>j.6B if it's not.
  14. Neither does Mu-12 and we notate her lasers hitting with ]X[, while this overlaps with negative edge lieselotte doesn't have any. Looking them up Arakune forums who has negative edge they use (X) as the move hitting...however this overlaps with optional move. I'll see if I can pull up some japanese boards and find out what they are using... Edit: I'm an idiot I thought you were talking about when the doll hit later, if you mean out of box in box, I suggest some sort of something.X So maybe d.X for deployed or doll, and s.X for stored? Hopefully someone will come in with the answer but looking around I'm not finding a standard.
  15. Normally the standard anime notation is ]X[ when the move will connect, it's kind of the catch all for release a held button or delayed move actually connects.
  16. But then they could just block then back home and kill you. I also use j.C and j.E and 236X~C a good bit too. j.6B is buffed but it's not THAT buffed.
  17. Counter > Critical Heart JUST DO IT. But yeah if you don't have your second jump ready your pretty hosed you can always 4HC to evade their attack. Or pick water.

If your right next to the ground 8D~D j.C, or 2D land 5C are stable. Air Edin (red or gold) j.5D~D j.C *land* 5C [4]6B xx Edin (red or gold) 6D 5C xx 236A~A EFC 6B 5C 2C xx 236A, 6B 5C 2C -> ender (corner air edin confirm) *I can't get gold Edin to combo on the second hit you have to do an early red. Sacred can: 2C > 623E , dash 5C > 214E. Golden air Edin must be the 4th hit or earlier of a combo. So main confirms are Hit > j.A > j.6B > 623[X] , if I know I have time I will just do a j.6B > 623[X]
  19. You forgot about how dumb multilayer is but yeah. Flower I think is the easiest but it can build some not so good habits for learning non flower arcana...like not worrying about CH or just rolling your face on burst.

Holy shit watching that was painful it took him to the second round to realize he could just multilayer...then when the guy water supered at point blank he didn't just throw the guys dumb ass, no he just stopped and blocked GOOD SHIT DUDE. The Konoha used water very well, it was just clear the Zenia did not have the matchup experience.
  21. It should be noted that you can do 623C > 623A+B~41236B is an option select like if 623C hits and guard breaks instant super, if it whiffs back teleport. It's really the only thing I used Kotodama's for outside of a time mixup which got removed anyways.

  23. Bahh I'll update the post and wiki after I play some this weekend, I currently have like 8-9 go to combos now depending on THINGS. For new people LEARN INSTANT J.623X, practice on like Weiss crouching or something. 66913X is way I normally get it.
  24. That's not true at all among most fighting game players, at least in my experience. Also yeah $30-40. Also for new players DO NOT PLAY WIDESCREEN IT ACTUALLY CHANGES THE SOME STUFF WORKS DO NOT DO THIS. You can play with anime on or off(if your a hater).
  25. Worse defense, 1 second more EFC recovery, 20% worse meter recovery speed. 2[E] and dash are really stupid though, with a good oki projectile, and a decent Raw EF. But that's not just using your arcana for EFC at that point.
