Average major=$100 a night hotel fees (3-day major), plus travel costs, plus venue fees, plus the cost of not starving to death. That can be hard for people who don't live close to any majors or don't have a scene nearby them. Not to say it isn't worth it or it isn't possible.
-
But there's plenty of people who don't have much of a local scene/don't have the resources to travel to majors. The idea is to give them at least a shot at getting that opportunity, if I interpreted that right. There used to be lots of online events like that with SF 4, idk if it still happens anymore. I don't think good netcode is really hurting BB, sad truth is the people who only play online right now probably just wouldn't be touching the game at all if the netcode was bad. I doubt a bad netcode would raise turnouts.

It's beautiful, a million thanks!

Nice to meet you too.

Not sure if I would be considered proficient but it took me about 4-5 months to be able to win with Platinum. And it took me about two years to get decent with Litchi ever since I got CT.
-
Shadow does play Melty. And it seems like most of the better Platinum players kind of disappear for months at a time.
-
This. That's half of the problem that BB has been facing since the beginning. A lot of people in Alabama are interested in Extend, and we have some solid players who've been playing since CS 2, things are looking up here.
-
Quick question: can Litchi still do a cross-under 2C mixup from Daisharin in CS 2? And if so, what's the setup?

My bad, that was kinda dumb of me. -
I still haven't played Extend yet, I'm just wondering: are you guys overall satisfied or disappointed with her turnout?

RUSH THAT SHIT DOWN

Tao is more just a personal vendetta of mine, I feel a really good Lambda is a definite problem if you don't win at item roulette though. Both of them highlight how SLOW most of Platinum's moves are imo.
-
Nobody mentioned Lambda or Tao yet? I may dislike a lot of Plat's matchups, but those are the only two in any fighting game to ever legitimately anger me.
-
I love Platinum where she's at, personally. Even at C-tier, she has most all the tool she needs (insert complaints about not having a reversal) to be a threat in most matchups; they're just really ghetto.
-
When I really want to get out of the corner (against a character like Litchi maybe) sometimes I might do something like IAD j.2C > Swallow Moon > crossup j.B > j.A > j.A > land > 5A. With the right spacing the opponent can't do a reversal after j.B since it goes right back into 5A pressure. Admittedly though, it's janky at best.

New Yumekami videos. Not my favorite Plat in neutral game but I like his mixups and resets. Platinum (Yumekami) vs. Jin (Eruo) Platinum (Yumekami) vs. Bang (Dora) Not the most interesting match. Platinum (Take A Guess) vs. Valkenhayn (Joker) -
You can fuzzy guard with it too. Swallow moon (blocked) then j.B j.C j.2C right after. Catches most people.
-
Hey all, can I make a quick request? I just want an avvy with Platinum and Litchi in it, with my name on it somewhere. Doesn't have to be complicated in the slightest, although I wouldn't complain.
-
You might find it easier to do 4kote by the way. I'm pretty sure you can't buffer the dash after kote (I don't at least), the timing is pretty much how it looks visually. Off the top of my head I would say start inputting 669B at when she says "for", someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Combos ≠ playstyle
-
Thanks, and good job with these videos
-
These Multi videos get me so hyped. Is it me still being relatively ignorant of this game or are Satsuki and Mitzuki the most popular assists right now?
-
Most people agree that Tsubaki is solid enough. Platinum has big holes in her offense and limited defense options. Arakune is really not so scary once you have a grasp of the matchup. Just my guess/two cents.
