My bad, i guess I should be more clear, with regards to wake up reversals or reversal options, everyone seems to be using hs.VV over s.VV in this version.

Is it just me or is s.VV rarely used in this version as opposed to hs.VV, I know the differences between the two in terms of utilities, but is there something I'm missing with regards to their frame data compared to AC/ACR that I'm still missing?

Well, after over a year of job hunting, I'll probably be heading to Toronto for the summer for a job, since I wasn't able to find anything. Unless someone has an opportunity of me, I'll be gone as of June. Just letting you guys know in advance. Also, will anyone be there for GG Sunday, I should be bringing somebody you guys haven't seen in a while if that's the case. -

With regards to the Ky vs Justice matchup, Ill post this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0KsyAUTWo0#t=1367 Obviously Machabo is the best Ky player, so watching this video must be taken with a grain of salt. But I can't see why Ky can't keep Justice locked down, with my personal experience against the character and watching others play against her. You clearly cannot play full screen, and instead must keep yourself just outside of the range of Michael Blade and pressure her to keep her from doing anything, be ready to bait Michael Blade, both super an ordinary version. tk hs stun edge along with it's FRC point really gives Ky an opening to get in close. I found using j.SE frc points and either running or air dashing proved to be fairly effective at closing the distance with her and getting rid of her grenades all at once. Any chance on a write up against Order Sol?

True, it's like anything else that's competitive, but I don't hate losing. When I'm playing your Johnny and we're busy mashing sword normals whether I win or lose I'm enjoying the matches, but yes I'm playing like that, and I'm playing you because I want to beat you, it would be pointless for me to play you if I didn't have any intention of winning. I just don't like the logic of, "it's only fun so long as you're winning", is all. -

Good conversation, good reminder of what's great about the MTL scene. ??? There is so much wrong in this post, I don't even know what to say... What's the point of coming to a place to play video games, post in a forum about said video games, watch videos about said video games, and never ACTUALLY play said video game (outside of arcade mode, which is never really that fun)? Whether you're competitive or not, shouldn't stop you from playing the game you enjoy. Winning is fun, it's the aim. But when playing winning/improving/having fun all goes hand in hand. I like being pushed to my limits and forced to improve, if not I get bored and stop playing. But we all have our personal motivations and what we deem as to have fun in a game. VRaiden rocked my shit when we first started playing. But I honestly loved it, or even your Ino when we first played. But I enjoy those matches the most, when there's something to overcome. If I don't have a mountain to overcome I lose interest and no longer derive fun from what I'm playing. But at the end of the day, if you're playing a game because it's fun and enjoy learning more about the game and want to learn more about the game to improve and to have more fun. You need to get your hands wet, no point of watching/analyzing videos, posting in forums, reading posts, buying the game, and finally coming to foonzo only to watch people play the game you enjoy. Even guys like Jonio and St1ckbug make sure to keep themselves involved in their games by still playing it, even if they don't always get the opportunity to invest in the game like top players examples like LK, Ogawa, and FAB. Anyways, I might come through thursday, it's tentative. I might be the chauffeur of my dad all day... EDIT: Oh yeah +1 for Pedro being unfree, he has a very strong and creative mind when it comes to mixup/oki. -

Chipp looks more like his ACR version in my opinion. -
The matchup looks even-ish against Ky thanks to Durandal Call enhancing his projectiles. Do you guys feel the same? Or do you feel it's still lop sided in Venom's favor, if not in Ky's favor now?

Ky seems to have effective tools of dealing with Axl's stance, Venom might also be able to deal it by using a ball set YRC, maybe. -

With Sol I actually know the timing, since I play against this character a lot, but I haven't really faced adequate Chipp players that often. @henaki I personally never felt wake up speeds affected my wake up pressure game. Does not affect Ky very much, or am I just simply unaware of how much it affects me? -
No need to test, we can wait, the fact that it ate a FREAKING BURST says enough. Which means, in certain 50%+ meter situations we can just RTL people when they're on the verge of bursting in our combos. I can't tell if you're talking about stun edge or sacred edge lol. Also Ain's new 5d "impossible dust" combo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6NzHWzGDrs#t=3173 It goes for more damage/meter at the cost of Split Ciel, it seems if you get 3 VT loops, you lose the chance to get a Split Ciel in the corner. I'm starting to see applications of dc stun edge being used against characters like Venom and Axl, characters who have traditionally stronger zoning/spacing tools than Ky. The fact that dc stun edge appears just about as fast as dc sacred edge and causes kd whenever it hits is amazing honestly.

Good to know, never knew this. 214k, j214, or vv follow up? And if it's vv follow up, I'm not sure, but judging by the fact that no one has done that or tried that in a video, I assume you can't. In a matter of fact, I haven't seen anyone do that to delay their decent after a whiffed/blocked VV...

Ky doesn't have any tumbling effect attacks does he? Split Ciel caused tumbling during loketests but then they removed it for when they released the game (which was smart because then it would be stupid). Fafnir can't be canceled into because it's traditionally plus on block, the one time you could cancel into it, they had to make it an unsafe move to throw out. If Xrd fafnir worked like ACR, it would be stupid as fuck, and make Sol completely brain dead and unstoppable as well. -

Increase hit stun slightly, I think elven covered that in his initial impressions of the game, I would also say increasing the time it takes for characters to get up to their max run speed. it's why you don't see players barrier break on their dashes supposedly anymore. I'm sure there's more than just that. -

But most people don't play competitively. And it takes quite a bit of dedication to play GG adequately. Heck, I'm not even that consistent with FRC's but Ky isn't very reliant on them, luckily for me.
