These are some wonderful well thought out posts. I've always used the word "cheap" with an exclusive ability to one or few characters in the games cast that is very difficult to deal with, for me I used the term irrespective of the execution difficulty or accessibility of the "cheap" move. If I've offended someone I apologize. Carry on in these intelligent discussions :3 EDIT: @Titanium, I've read puppet users literally just spend time in training mode and then just do those things they practice in matches and end up winning. Going by your post, it sounds like this is at least partially true. -
Is it scrubby to spam DP during Lag Spikes?

If it works against your opponent, it's not scrubby in my opinion. It may be agitating, but they shouldn't be getting hit by in the first place if it's so "scrubby". And if you were scrubby you wouldn't be making this thread asking if it was "scrubby". -
Oh, I thought it was the midscreen 5d one he does with a ball near the opponent that he's never finished. I'm curious to see what he can get off of that. But these new corner 5d combos are dope for the entire cast.

Yeah but to get to that skill level takes time, people in modern society always want immediate results. If they don't get results when they want it then they feel the game must be changed, not that their mentality should be changed. -

I blame the internet... No really I do, increased accessibility along with increased modes of communication. Allows everyone to see what's cheap in a game faster than when we were all younger where that wasn't so much the case. So now EVERY would-be Zato player, in this instance will have access to Ogawa's tools and tricks with Zato as opposed to maybe one or two matches that were recorded. Now everyone knows how cheap Zato-1 was, when I was playing #R casually I didn't know anything about the tiering of GG#R honestly. But now anyone picking up a new fighting game can get full access to what's what in a game from the get go. Equally players can see what's cheap and complain about it early. Of course with the internet, players can also get help from vets easier and have ways of overcoming the the difficulty hurdle associated to learning a new fighting game, tutorials game forums and etc. So now we have more players at a more homogeneous skill level (in theory at least), and less players quitting a game (in theory) because they have all the tools they need to improve right before them. So it's a give and take. I only really complain about stop playing a game when my character is no longer fun. And honestly no one said anything about Zato until Ogawa the Overlord started playing lol. Prior to that, if I remember correctly people thought he wasn't going to be that strong, and everyone was worried about Faust mirror dominating the game. There are few who really make a character truly shine, I doubt we'll see much people both in Japan or NA achieve that level of showing how cheap Zato1 or any character truly is. -

Wow thanks for the prompt responses guys So what has Chipp lost exactly in ACR that makes the matchup more tolerable then? Sounds like Millia vs Chipp is like Ky vs Venom, a bad matchup by design someone excels more in somethign the other character was designed to play like.

Why does Millia always have a bad matchup with Chipp? She has stronger oki, usually deals greater damage, and takes less damage than him. I woudl think it would be in her favor.

They are I have all the stages (for the 4th time). You mostly get them from staying in training mode honestly.

I didn't think Inoue would play this game until at least Order Sol came back. Makes me wonder if we'll see Satou play this game before Johnny's in. Also Chipp, FIND MEH x N lol. I feel that shit'll get nerfed, but I'm glad it's useful at least and there's visual queues for his 5d even if he's invisible, along with his rekkas. And it's nice to see Faust isn't as dominant as everyone initially thought he'd be based on day 1 tournaments. -

^This. Ride the Fire and DI are already hype enough for the game. And no one seems to like Danger Time, both people who can actually play the game and those of us who can only watch (for now). it just does not belong in GG. Luckily its the only bad implementation in Xrd. Overall the game is dope. Everyone looks solid honestly. -
Oh ok thanks, I didn't recognize that Ky. I'm guessing he must've been a beast with Baiken in AC/ACR.

Because it's stupid. He really is nuts, Samitto really showed off Chipp at Mikado. Find me is hella strong this time, and the ability to combo off his command grab in the corner is crazy. This made me laugh so hard... @Final Ultima I thought Hellfire Mode enhanced OD damage, along with the enhanced IK properties. Hence why whenever you hit someone with an OD during Hellfire mode, it says "HELLFIRE MODE!!!" :/ -
I was thinking the same thing, I was hoping you'd see it. It looks slightly intricate to pull off, I see 5d combos evolving into something else entirely. I saw HEVEN place a ball right before a 5d, he dropped the combo but ti seems to make his 5d safeĀ® if blocked and if it hits he can do a midscreen impossible dust combo that *might* have full screen corner carry. Btw who was that Ky player, he even beat eki-chan in the same tournament.

That would mean it would occur MORE often, and people would be deadly afraid of that occurring. I already dread seeing "Danger Time only combos", already the Ky xrd combo tutorial has one or two HellFire Mode only combos. I hope by the next revision, they just remove Danger Time altogether, HellFire on the other hand is a good addition to the game I find personally. What are everyone else's thoughts on Hellfire Mode? -

Unless they change the startup I don't see any practical use for it, but then again, Gamma/Ramma rays historically never really had any uses. They always took too long to startup and required 100% tension, despite their fantastic damage. I've only seen it used to troll the a.i in arcade mode lol. But giving it super armor would make it really unique and maybe even useful in the corner. -

I thought they prevented that because it would just be an easy approach tool since the fire after he lands makes him really safe to get in. He was the one playing eki-chan in a ft11 at a-cho correct?

@kitsoru, Sin's normals were slower than both Ky and Sol, at least in GG2, I'd imagine that would carry over. He had terrific range though. -

Sin wasn't complex in Overture, compared to someone like Raven. He just lacked a DP, but made up for it with Exciter and his counter. -
