RC's are there for when you botch up your FRC timing and you have 50% tension still and you get the cancel anyways but it's the wrong one lol. I've done that before more than once. I'm honestly impressed by how this thread has been going, besides Henaki being unnecessarily mean, it hasn't degenerated into someone being called "Poopy-Head". I agree, Henaki if you're not going to say something constructive like you usually do, you don't need to reply to the discussion. I somewhat agree with Rhannmah about the RC system, FRC's sort of have a universal 25% tension application in all scenarios, as opposed to YRC's which are a bit limited. But the Bullet Time attribute given to them has added a lot of layers to the game, as I remember when Ogawa started playing, and he was playing against Machabo. There was a point where Machabo jumped out of Ogawa's pressure and he did a neutral YRC and used the Bullet Time to air grab Machabo, which would've been much harder, if not impossible to do with the old RC system. Certain setups like Fafni>YRC>WT or Zato's YRC application on Break the Law wasn't exactly possible in the old RC system, if not completely impossible. So it adds new layers while removing older ones, but it takes time to see that. I honestly commend Daisuke for how he's adjusted OD's in the game, they're for the most part made to be more useful and applicable as pointed out above. With that said, be nice people. We finally can watch the game AND talk about it, don't give grandpa Circ a reason to close this thread. -

I won't be coming due to the French course I'm taking right now making it impossible for me to come on Tuesdays, but Gabe and some of his friends will be there for Gundam. i'll show up thursday I could use some GG this week. -

You find? His combos don't look any more burst safe than they were in AC/ACR, which aren't very burst safe to begin with lol. Yeah that IK and IK post lol, gets me hype. For Ky players I follow: machabo (obviously), rozu/roz, hayashi, ain. I find Ain is the weakest amongst these Ky players. So I enjoy them all for the way they play Ky differently, though I always prefer Machabo and Roz's playstyles over the other two. DC Sacred Edge is really strong in the corner and INSTANT once it passes through a Grinder, and seems to be full screen. Seems like projectile contender to DI Tyrant Rave lol. I think i saw RTL go right through Venom's full screen ball super or something, this move seems to have a lot of projectile invincibility. But don't quote me on it this time...

What??? How does it ruin it??? Ruining fundamentals to me, is like taking what you learned in umvc3 and trying to transition it into SF/GG/BB/KOF/wtv. I can't see how that could be the case, the top GG players are still the top players because of their skills they aren't playing anymore sloppy, and nor are sloppy/newer players bodying them by exploiting the new yrc system. -

Yeah, that was nuts. Is it due Machaboo just being that good or Sol being that strong? Cus I wonder if he'd be able to pull that off with his Ky, since he said Sol is slightly stronger than Ky in terms of risks and rewards. -
This character is fun, his pokes/reach (including gunflame) kinda sucks. Kinda weird to AA with him since it's just 5k>2hs>stuff.

Makes sense I can see what you're talking about, especially with the lack of VT follow up attack, you really have to decide to go for damage which leads to aerial VT thus allowing the opponent to air tech, or cutting your damage and instead going for a 5s>2hs>VT>kd>pressure. What you're saying would probably explain why some lesser character loyalists have been switching mains, as opposed to players like Samitto, FAB, Nage, and Ain among others. @DMK, yes it's great Ky doesn't have to deal with huge damage disparities like in AC, where everything is even so long as you're not forced to make comebacks nor making huge blunders that lead to losing 60% of your health lol. To early to say anything about the Valentine matchup, no one even knows how to use her lol. Ky's screen control has gotten buffed and has good consistent damage. @kanashimi, Ky is not as much of a pick up and play type of character like Sol, yes Ky will have lots of people playing him but I highly doubt it'll be as much as Mr. Badguy himself. Plus Sol is vastly manlier than Ky, with a crazy install super (that's hype as fuck) and a dickick. @buppa discussion, i care more for seeing Hayashi and Rozu than Buppa personally.

Is he better so far compared to his ACR version, which I constantly hear is ass (though I never discovered why that's the case). -
