  2. My bad, also the Fafnir caused tumbling/rolling on impact. I thought Fafnir only did that on CH, if that's the case then DI Fafnir my cause rolling on any hit. @5d>5k that's interesting maybe that could be the start of a new dust combo mechanic as the game is fleshed out more.
  3. I believe it's 3 actually not two, I've seen what you're walking about as well. But I only saw it blocked, I didn't actually see it hit another character.
  4. Human beings are profoundly conservative creatures who hate change. I'm certain we could look at every GG iteration and see huge quantities of complaints initially for changes in game mechanics. As the game gets fleshed out, Xrd will win more people. But right now people are still trying to play their character as how they've been played for the last 7 years, in an entirely new game. This is a whole different type of GG, where every character has a fresh take on them to compliment their playstyles.
  5. This. I see a huge change in the metagame of GG with the new RC system, it's quite refreshing honestly. It's both easier to learn, and creates new forms of mind games and setups. At first I was worried about the game becoming linear but I can see that it won't be the case down the round. Shoutouts to Daisuke.
  6. Yeah when you put in that perspective, Sol probably benefits more from that than knockdown whiffing instead. I was watching some matches and noticing that this Sol was using 6hs occasionally at the end of block strings, it definitely looks about as fast as Order Sol's 6hs. I think it can also cause ground bounce on aerial opponents, so it could be good to catch the occasional back dash, overall it looks more practical especially with the removal of being in CH state throughout the entire animation.
  7. You know, I didn't notice this until someone mentioned it before, but I've have to agree that the range is nerfed slightly. I've eaten enough VV's to know that at those ranges both hits would've normally landed. Normally Knockdown would've whiffed if anything, not the second hit of VV.
  8. DC= D.urandal C.all, it occurs whenever Ky's Projectiles fly through a Grinder seal, Grinder seals are those circle things that appear after a jd/5d/236d. When Stun edge, Charged Stun Eedge, or Sacred Edge fly through a Grinder seal, they become Durandal Calls (DC) which are those massive electrical swords you see occasionally. Exactly what i was thinking especially after seeing BOB's Zato literally shut down Ain's spacing game by reflecting every projectile he fired. Speaking of which, both CSE and Sacred Edge seem nerfed over all, CSE doesn't last nowhere nearly as long as it used to and goes away if Ky's hit, Sacred Edge is impossible to combo off of and doesn't even do much damage. They really designed him to make use of DC's on offense and on neutral it seems. Only Stun Edge seems to work virtually the same. As do I, I feel it'll be great for pressure, offensive mind games, mixup, dealing with stronger zoners like Venom/Axl, and for mind games. Split Ciel is faster than it sounded like during loketests honestly.
  9. @Killey, you can combo off of it, if not at least fire a dc projectile. My time stamp though had to do with how Zato can't reflect dc projectiles.

  11. Thank you for making my day. All the songs sound like their old versions, but not in a literal remixed sense. More like successors to their old versions which is awesome. Every song is literally obvious which character it belongs to. I love it. It's like how Daisuke made the 6 Heroes, theme we all wanted it, we all knew it had to sound grandiose and epic and he delivered by giving us EXACTLY what we wanted. Only now did i realize how much Red & Blue sounds like Re-coming lol. And the Assassin's Guild Theme is like an amalgamation of Still in the Dark and Existence put together and made sexier. Why must Daisuke always have one song with an acoustic guitar solo?! Worthless As The Sun Above Clouds. Above Skies sounds too happy lol. Anyways does anyone have a link where I can properly hear "You Still Feel A Fear?", not many people are using Zato, and his theme is kickass.
  12. Faust is already not looking as strong with the recent vids, like HEVEN's venom. Holy shit his match with that Slayer was hella hype along with his match against BOB's Zato. I'm surprised by how quickly HEVEN is discovering optimal corner combos and mixup/pressure tools with him so soon. Faust will definitely be a strong character down the road, but I doubt as strong once people learn how to play the game and not treat it like AC/ACR. But seeing Faust is tiring lol. Glad to see people are already figuring things out, Millia is coming along well (she just lacks abare and oki setups), but Slayer, Zato, Chipp, and Potemkin still have a long way to go in my opinion more so than the rest of the cast.

  14. Ky's neutral game should be strong enough in this iteration to make up for the lack of oki due to the removal of VT follow up.
  15. People have said Ain, but he plays nothing like Ain from what I've seen. Plus Ain pretty much uses "Merri Christumasu" colors for Ky. BUt the Ky was hella good, I suspect Machaboo or someone else entirely. You were the only uploading the matches? Where?
  16. Yeah it definitely looks like it could be used for reversal options. DI VV doesn't seem to be as damaging as it used to be though, I guess that's due to Tyrant Rave becoming Proton Cannon. it's been known since location tests. 6hs looks significantly faster, it appears to no longer be in constant CH state, ground on CH. It looks actually useful now.

  21. Lol it really did smell of BB's story mode. What they hell does Ky know, and who is "she" that he was referring to? I'm surprised this Valentine didn't transform in any way. So now I understand why it's called Babylon in 5 years, it's not 2187 but instead 2192, so some tragic event is supposed to take place in Babylon, I'm guessing that big sphere thing is what happens. But what is so special about Babylon?

  23. It seems that air grabs don't allow you to combo off of them in the corner, as in they don't cause wall bounce anymore @qwerty, by seal you mean 236k>236d>dc shenanigans? Why don't people use aerial stun edge YRC to approach if it restores your aerial options? EDIT: Do you mean AC's 6HS is Xrd's 3HS?
