  1. Does alpha blade have less recovery since Samitto in all of his videos didn't use the TK version on block, which from what I understand is more preferred since regular alpha blade has so much recovery on it.

  4. I don't get why Samitto, the Chipp God, has videos and this forum section is still dead as fuck... Anyways, I got questions, has rekka overhead Banzai always been a good combo starter? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTSQp6YiZf8#t=116 How does Chipp's FIND ME work now, does he flicker or you only see him when he's still/doing specials? It looks hella cheap from what I've seen, it looks like it'll be hard to block his mixup while he's in it especially when doing rekkas. Chipp, like Sol seems to have his combos really focused on pushing you into the corner to get his real damage out. he seems to average, maybe slightly below average in terms of damage. But his ability to maintain and bring you to "Mixup City" seems stronger now. Also, the way he works REALLY reminds of how he plays in AC/ACR more so ACR, considering ACR is one of his best iterations, in terms of combos and options on neutral/offense. but that's just me I've only watched this character, I don't play him. Finally, I'd like to say I like Chipp's new VA. He sounds a lot more coherent, I never knew when Chipp teleports, besides saying "TOO RATE" he was saying "SURPRISE" this whole time... Also when he does jd is he saying "Daijobu" as in "I'm good" in Japanese?
  5. Very good post and I could agree to that honestly. Order Sol, obviously for instance, is very much close in playstyle to Sol. Now that I think about it the cast IS very diverse for a 13 character roster. Lol. Could someone explain to me what the fuck is so bloody amazing about MOM, I keep seeing people talk about it. And it's in like every GG as far as my memory can go. Wow, cynical vigilante much? Hmmmm I'll check him out. Was Samitto a GG OG who also played Slash, or did he only come in AC?
  6. I've always found more of a "cooru" Western design. Nevermind when I saw Ky I said "fuck it, I'm done trying out characters", Chipp I found was really dope. When I look at the current cast, when Daisuke said he's taking the most popular characters and the moment I didn't see the enigma that is Bridget, I got the feeling Daisuke was taking us here in the Western world into account when choosing who got in this version of the game. It's why I feel characters like Johnny/Baiken/Anji are very likely to get back into the game very soon. They're "cooru" Western designs as well. I find what designs we find dope here, may not always be the case in Japan, case being Chipp. it's also why we already have the entire Assassin's Guild cast in the game already. If I remember correctly, the character pools back during ArcRevo, asked voters where they lived no? Wow good to know why Chipp was so ass, and was never really used/good. ACR seems to be his strongest iteration from what I've seen. Shurikens jack up the guard bar?! Why are Ky/Sol harder if I might ask?

  11. Lol Faust and his 9'0 feet tall hitbox is too strong... Have people experimented with her command roll coupled with her Rose install, at the very least on knockdown in mid screen? And I still do believe there is a lot of room for characters to develop in Xrd, Ky players are only just starting to really see what Grinder Seals and Durandal Calls can do for Ky on neutral and on offense, and he's a significantly easier character to learn than Millia. I honestly just worry for Chipp and Potemkin at this point. But Millia's Rose Install I see having a lot of potential to make her a strong contender with it's Ouroboros-like properties, I believe someone here called both of them "Freestyle Install Supers".
  12. What is "Tachimawari"? I just read it means something that has to do with "movement"? And i think Rose Install will add some flexibility to her as well. Usually a non-gimmicky install has a lot of options and things to figure out with time especially with a character like her, and no one as of knows what to do with it as of yet except for tkBad Moon x n. Gonna go watch Woshige and Nakamura in AC/ACR now lol. I hear she has a bad matchup against Sol, that wasn't always the case was it? She seemed to have either favorable or even matchups in AC and more so ACR in my eyes at least.
  13. Oh I didn't know Woshige was playing the game. And it seems that Millia and Slayer got hurt pretty bad with the immense revisions Daisuke made to Xrd from AC/ACR. What with the removal of a lot of moves and specifically FB's. In the case of Ky, Durandal Call/Grinder Seals more than make up for Ky's loss of FB's and add an interesting dynamic to how you want to play him. But I do agree that Millia doesn't appear as threatening in this version compared to her AC/ACR counter parts. I never personally played a Millia but I could see her oki not being as terrifying as it used to be, not to say she doesn't look strong. But her getting a knockdown on you isn't as much of a coin flip as before. Her abare and combo variation I think will go up with time though honestly in my opinion.
  14. The thought of her being "ordinary"/"boring" were people's original fears during her loketest changes no? Since, she supposedly wasn't very fun in #R, which is what she's based on as opposed to her AC/ACR iterations.
  15. Surprised to see Buppa playing this game again. He was hella YOLO in his matches, almost beat FAB with that shit. Sad to see not much footage yet of Rozu/Roz and Hayashi. Is 012 playing this game? Why did Dogura abandon his teleport lifestyle?

  18. Same reason people XFC on neutral occasionally, make use of the slow time. Either assessing the situation around you, or punish something your opponent is doing, like with an air grab. That's my take on it at least, seems like a smart thing to do.

  20. Probably one of the funniest things I've read in this thread. No for some reason I want a Japanese Activist in the game as well. :/ I honestly just want to see Sin so I can see what his black RTL looks like and how it'll work compared to Ky's.
  21. It's pretty clear that DI's duration is static now. Fair trade for it actually being useful now, as opposed to a pure gimmick comeback mechanic.
  22. It's a question of when not if. They know how much their cast is loved, but there are so many to implement and must be entirely redone in 3d I can't blame them for having such a limited cast right now. But who they chose to be in the game was a good selection. Also after spending 3-4 days straight playing ACR, I must agree on the increased pushback on barrier blocking in Xrd. it's very strong and the only characters it doesn't really affect are projectile users like Venom, Axl, and Ky. But I could also understand why such a thing is implemented, hopefully with more iterations these "newer player" accomadations will be reduced over time. But nothing they've implement that ruins the game in my opinion, well nothing except DANGER TIME -__-
  23. Shirtless Zoro from One Piece is missing, I don't blame him for not playing. I'd be hard pressed to play this game if Ky wasn't in it. Though it could also mean he thinks this game is ass too lol. That's an odd choice.
