Rankings Updated! Thanks to everyone who played. Extra thanks to Mirage for hosting the other room and giving me results. Next one is tentatively scheduled for June 1st, but we'll see what happens since I haven't looked in the Events thread to see if stuff is going on.

You can only use a different character if the rankings interfere with the rooms. In other words, you can't just switch cause you're doing bad with the character you signed up with or you feel like playing as a different character.

Couldn't you just ask to play the Rachel players and have them show you stuff? As in not play competitively at all. I've seen some videos of the Japanese players in SF4 literally just talking to each other and showing each other stuff before actually playing matches EVEN ONLINE. Or the same thing you see when you watch location test videos.

Well there's no way you can "hit her out of her DP" with 2A first off cause it has full body guard point for pretty much all of the startup and active frames except the very last one. If anything you must've hit her during the recovery from it whiffing you. Go test it in training mode and try it again. Doing Ashura to try and purposely clash with her DP isn't a good idea. You doing 6A>Ashura sounds like you were just mashing after the first one anyway, and after a clash each person has as much of an advantage as the other person. Which means clashing Ashura and going for a Command Throw doesn't work like that since they could easily mash buttons after it and hit you.

"Accidental" burst bait happens to me when I hit someone with CH 6C. Mainly because you can dash after it (they might burst there), and it tends to go into j.4C (you're already holding back). I mean they SHOULD be bursting if they get hit by that, but they pick really bad times to, and it's just funny to see me block their burst when I wasn't even trying to really.

-The increased nails would obviously be good but I don't ever see that happening. -Why would he need a new move that does bumpers? Them no longer decreasing nails would obviously be good, but to limit it to 2 per round seems silly. -Throwing 4 D Nails would be unnecessary and waste even more during pressure strings, and worst going by the next thing you wanted to change about them. -3C is already -14 so it is heavily punishable without RC and not something he can just throw out. It being a FC seems fine considering it's limited use. -If Bang couldn't go through people while in FRKZ it'd be practically useless, he's already in CH state and they already reduced his invulnerability. -If D Nails had no bounce they would be borderline useless as well. Lol just throwing random numbers out to nerf things. But hey, that's your guys' wish list so who am I to judge, lol.

Lol it's all good. Wasn't really expecting to play anyway just got on to invite people into the PSN chat that needed to be. There's plenty of rooms I could join, or I guess ranked, but those were the only 3 connections showing up for me. And it's 1:38am on a weekday so I don't expect people to be on that I could play with.

Now I sent a message to this other person who showed up as a 3 connection, the room was private with 6 slots but only 2 people were in the room. Subject: "3 Connection" Message: "Can I get an invite into that room?" ....no response. I just can't seem to play random people I guess.

Join a random 3 person room cause it had a 3 connection, the host and someone else were playing. I fight the host next, perfect him first round, astral second, still ok. Next person picks Noel and literally just spam's Ds, I win, that person leaves. Host does the room message "Disbanding room", so I leave. While searching for another room, that room is still there. Few minutes later the room has been remade with a different name but still "open", and people are in there again.... So I can't even play random players when I actually try to even if the connection is good, lol.

If you anticipate her DP, just do 2D on oki. I see the Japanese players do that every once in a while, so that's one answer.

Also you should include this site that was posted in that XBL Opening Ports thread: http://www.freewebs.com/haximo/ports.htm I would go as far as requesting from one of the mods to basically sticky this thread and unsticky the other one since this one should cover more. Then they could just lock / delete the other thread since the information would be contained here instead and not cover just XBL since it applies for both systems anyway. Some other information, On PS3 you want to aim for at least NAT Type 2. NAT Type 3 basically means the PS3 is being restricted and you don't want that. NAT Type 1, will probably only happen if you're connected DIRECTLY to your internet or the modem itself if it is separate from the router. Getting NAT 2 will probably be solved through port forwarding or putting the PS3 into DMZ. On 360 I don't remember what it describes that same scenario as, but if you follow the instructions EXACTLY that's given on your 360 for trouble-shooting your connection, it should set you up to have an open connection as well. At least it did for me in the past. You might also want to disable media sharing servers on your PS3 while you're trying to play online, not sure if that would directly help so I guess you can throw that on suspected. The 360 can do this as well but I don't remember what the options are for dealing with that since they've updated it so much since the last time I've used the media sharing thing. I'd put the stage thing under suspected.

Oh, well that's a whole other thing in itself. I'm perfectly fine with the way his moves are now and what damage he gets and whatever frame stuff applies. I do feel like he's just missing something in regards to how the game flows as a whole and him being able to have some control of it. I think he's fine as a character as is, I just want to see more from him with how he can approach the game itself compared to other characters. If I had to "complain" about a move, I will say 5D is the only move that's kinda weird to hit confirm so maybe that could change. The hit confirm difference between a non-CH and a CH isn't recognizable it seems, you basically just have to do it since there doesn't seem to be enough time if it happens to be non-CH. Compared to say 2D, which you have enough time to distinguish between the two. But this would be me being picky and is unnecessary.

But we weren't even talking about Bang...and I wasn't even hating on my character. I just mentioned 6B as an example cause of what I already explained. He mentions Bang has 5C, and Jin is the only character with a "terrible overhead", but I said he's also the only character with EX moves. Which all goes back to the point I originally made. So I don't really see what this has to do with me or Bang, lol.
