  1. 3C hits Makoto the same amount in CS2. 6B CH can be comboed off of without wind. You can run forward and 5B if you hit them from mid screen. This might not work if you're far from the wall.
  2. Might not be there today. I have errands to run. I might be able to drive up in time for the Team Tournament. OTL parking.
  3. I think that's the general idea. As for a 3rd member, you can probably find someone at the event. I'm already part of team HIME-SAMA.
  4. Being Shaft is suffering...
  5. I thought someone already mentioned it... But yeah. Tiger and Bunny is probably my favorite anime from this year. There's very few series I'd watch multiple times.
  6. Suggestions that haven't been mentioned yet: Star Driver (comedy/mecha), No Friends Club (comedy), Fate/Zero (srs bizniz and good animation), Nichijou (comedy/slice of life). If you like Naruto, there's also Hunter x Hunter which got a remake this year. If you like Card Captor Sakura, you'll like Madoka Magica a lot. For random lulz- Carnival Phantasm.
  7. Spark has a setup that he's bringing. And I believe one more person (since they live in the same house). Huey's setup is being used for CSX. I'll ask the one more person (I think? either C0R/Plastic Chicken/blargster) if they're bringing their setup too. How many are you looking to secure?
  8. Contact Spark/C0R/Plastic Chicken and work out things with them. Thursday... hmm... that's a good question.
  9. PNW v. Oregon Highway Patrol match up is 0-10.
  10. Has huey talked to you about a set time for BB 3v3 teams? No one seems to know when it is and it's not on the site schedule.
  11. If you're going to NWM and have a BB setup, you should bring it (monitors included). Setups with DLC characters are extra appreciated.
  12. I agree. That thing's not a good measure blocking overheads since people usually gatling into them instead of randomly doing them. Also, the last discussion I remember having about that thing... someone mentioned to me that move isn't really a good example as the animation is really subtle until late in the move. It'd be like if Makoto stood above you using 6B while the orb is on you. If you want to get good at blocking overheads do what pro people do and memorize the gatling charts. I'd do this, but I'm too lazy. That thing is a decent detector for reaction speed though.
  13. As someone who's had experience on both routes- I don't recommend 101. I-5 is way faster and depending on how long you decide to stay on 101, you're adding another 3-5 hours to the trip. When we drove to California last time there's only one pass where snow was an issue and it was just kind of bad luck on our part when we had to drive through it last time (when we left there was absolutely no snow there). Of course- take what you feel is safer, but I'm personally not a fan of 101. SUPER IMPORTANT- If you have a setup, you should bring it (monitors included). Setups with DLC characters are extra appreciated.
  14. Rachel one of these needs to happen.
  15. More like most of us have cars and Seattle/Seatac/Kent/Tacoma aren't unreasonably far from each other... so chances are that someone can and will provide you with a ride. I don't mind driving Tacoma people to Kent, but I don't know about Seattle unless parking is cheap/free. *forgot* I kinda figured that most of south scene will meet at Kent and we'd all carpool anyway. Also, even if Spark is too lazy to enter the tournament, he'll still play everyone in casuals.
  16. Should ask Spark/Plastic Chicken/blargster if they still have room for people at their house. Since Donovan is staying with huey now, probably.
  17. Yeah. If you guys ever want to hang out or do something, you should check out the IRC #getserious. If you don't have an IRC client, just google EFnet and use the web-based client.
  18. Well damn. That is pretty big news.
  19. You do have a point. Yes, but at the same time I was able to fit in a third 5CC in the 6A version and do stuff after it. Pretty sure this won't be possible with the 6C version, but at least a short one might work. I'll have to get around to it when I'm less lazy.
  20. Oh, I believe I only mentioned it because of our conversation earlier where it might still be possible if he did 6A BBL instead. To which I have to say- I have no idea, but if I had to guess... at best it would be a very short ender or not possible. I have to check out the 6C j.C j.C Iris BBL version in CS2 and see what's up with it. Though, if I was able to add that much of an ender from 6A BBL, I should at least be able to 3C Iris 3C. It wasn't so much that it blue beated (it was obvious he did the combo wrong) but it was a matter of it looking like after George you couldn't follow up with anything at all in CSX that caught my attention.
  21. Nope. Unless it's a Makoto only thing (I don't have Makoto unlocked, so I did it on Noel who has a somewhat equally fucked up hitbox) and I got 5A 5B 5CDC frog 3C (2 hits) A cannon 6A BBL Level 3 fatal frog 5CC A cannon A cannon (frog connected) 5CC and... something? (I think 3C sword iris 3C) but it all connected. But the big difference it is it was pretty clear in CSX that nothing would have connected after the second frog hit. In CS2, you can double cannon and a short ender and it all connects. Not sure about the 6C j.C j.C Sword Iris BBL blah blah blah. I'm kind of too lazy to test that atm. But 6A BBL does indeed work. As for the doubts about proration- You also have to take into account that some of her normals got damage buffed (5A and 6C are the only ones I know of). If they were the same damage value, then there would be a much larger percentage of damage reduction. They're buffed in damage, but the combo does less damage overall. EDIT: Lol NVM.
  22. TBH- No need to list that 2C prorates worse. At this point, I'm sure most of her normals prorate worse (at least that's what the translation of that note was supposed to mean instead of hitbox nerf). One thing to note is in one of the videos 5A 5B 5CDC frog 3C A cannon 6C j.C j.C Sword Iris BBL Level 3 j.2C Fatal Frog 5CC... player tried to do A cannon after this and it just straight up blue beat. When the second George hit, it was already at the minimum. Even if you take out the 6C j.C j.C Sword Iris and go straight into BBL, I think after the second George the only thing you could do would be 3C or maybe one last 5CC into pumpkin. Just a guesstimate though. Not entirely sure.
  23. 1) 5B is okay at neutral. Not a lot of people will smack you in the face for whiffing it as long as you're not using it at a really bad range. You really have to pay attention to what distance you're at. 2A is more safe because it chains into itself on whiff. 2) You shouldn't be guessing with cannons. You should be using them depending on the situation. Cannons are actually a good way of safely getting out pumpkin, which is how I use them... not the other way around. Pumpkin is a much more important tool than cannons. You can also wind B and C cannons to cover angles (for example, winding B cannon down can also be a way to stop approaches). 3) No. CPU are kind of stupid and always do the same things over and over again with no ability to adapt other than it sometimes cheats and reads your inputs. For example, U Hakumen... if you get him full screen, you can beat him by just spamming C cannons at him and occasionally cancelling that into Sword Iris because he'll just jump in place until he dies. Pikdum- If you IB Bang's 2A, it puts him at a really huge risk of getting 2C CHed and there's not much he can do to punish you for it. huey explained to me one time why, but I forgot. I think it has to do with how all of Bang's gatlings from 2A are not gapless on IB.
  24. TD- You know hitboxes aren't measured by where the sprites are... right? Rachel's j.B (for the most part) only hits in front of Rachel. http://www.dustloop.com/guides/bbcs2/frameData/rachel/j.B.html Tari's example is the highest j.B would hit on Makoto 2A in CS2, you can see where the attack is hitting Makoto's head (it is hitting her head and not her tail as the big sharp part of the blade actually has no hitbox). In the CSX one, there's a clear gap between Rachel's sprite and Makoto's sprite... and that gap shows that j.B is hitting Makoto much higher than where it would hit in CS2. http://www.dustloop.com/guides/bbcs2/frameData/makoto/2A.html Here's Makoto's 2A hitbox for reference. Pink line = top of Makoto's 2A hitbox. Empty red box = approximation of how much further j.B reaches.
