  1. Why was this thread even made? The game has only been out for two weeks.
  2. I think fear fighting Spark's Tager more than Hakumen. At least I don't feel terrible when I lose to Hakumen... I just get hotarued in the face. But Tager... it's like- What happened? IDK.
  3. It's just a matter of getting it down to muscle memory. The more you play, the more you'll get used to it. :3
  4. Uh... no. That's actually the correct notation for it. There are tutorials about this in the combo thread since it's a key point in Rachel's BnBs. If you're doing it correctly, you shouldn't turn around at all. Basically, after you hit them with 5B, you want to delay hitting them with j.C. The longer you delay the j.C the easier it is to do the level two j.2C (though when you can you should learn the best height since to do the level 2 j.2C frog 5B combos, you actually have to be pretty precise on this), then as soon as you see j.C start up... do 2D (you should see the wind when j.C hits) and then jump forward and do j.2C. If it's correct, they should ground bounce. The only point where Rachel probably would turn around (and it is a little confusing because I didn't get why this was coming out wrong when I first learned the combo) is after B cannon hits, you want to make sure you don't overly delay the j.C jc j.C. If you do, Rachel will turn around on landing and BBL won't come out (you'll get sword iris instead or C cannon). But definitely check out the combo thread and the tutorials. They're very helpful.
  5. Haha. Yeah. It's not nearly that bad. But CSX hime-sama will have her share of troubles. Mix up will become more wind intensive and you'll probably have to cut block strings pretty short before having to retreat and try again. Windless mix up will also be a lot harder to do. She'll also likely have a noticeably harder time against characters who decide to space her with longer normals (IE- You'll want to very selectively ORE GA BARRIER otherwise you'll end up in Danger state and stuff like Bang/Makoto's pressure game will become really obnoxious to deal with). So... I guess the new barrier system is a pretty heavy nerf (affects both her offensive and defensive options significantly), but the plus side is BBL guard crush setups are now very dangerous (using your resources correctly to put them into Danger state is a pretty good reward).
  6. Mid screen is not just about combos. I think you kind of missed the part where I was talking about how barrier push back would affect Rachel's mid screen game (meaning... they're blocking and not being hit). Needless to say though, even if for some reason we were talking about combos. 6C has more than it's share of weaknesses... If it was the magical end all to Rachel's problems, then CS1 Rachel wouldn't have been garbage (IE- Corner carry isn't even really relevant if your character has a hard time hitting the opponent in the first place).
  7. Having watched the few videos there are... proration on pumpkin is certainly mega butt. Pumpkin 2A 5B 6B did like 930 damage. Rachel players are intentionally cutting their combos short, but it seems like hime-sama still gets pretty okay damage in the corner. Mid screen... not so much. But to be fair, mid screen damage for other characters looks equally as butt. I'm trying to see how I feel the new barrier system will affect Rachel. She has very gimped guard crush abilities and push back from barrier hinders her mix up game a lot mid screen... especially with 4B and 6B nerf. I find it actually very funny how in a few matches that even though both players had permanently one primer, neither of them went for guard crush and both just counter assaulted without caring about the penalty because it's not like you can go below one primer. 'Course this could change as the game goes on if guard crush becomes something worth going for. On the plus side, since barrier now regens really really slowly, it might make 3 rod BBL guard crush setups worth it in order to drain all their barrier and put them in Danger state/force them to eat the hit. In short, her mid screen game now becomes very weak, but she now has a really useful tool for her corner game.
  8. Majority of PNW scene now lives in Kent which is about 20m south of Seattle. You should go into the IRC channel #getserious so we can work out details on time/meeting and whatever. And you should def come to NWM since that'll be in Seattle.

  10. I play visual novels more these days than BB. Plus gli and Tari make a good combo, so I feel like things are better this way. I still mostly hang out here though.

  12. Haha. I'm more surprised they nerfed 2C over taking out wind tech. According to stunedge, Tager looks super weird. So we'll see how things pan out.
  13. Since everyone else is asking- Stunedge... From the Rachel JBBS, mostly I've seen a long list of nerfs and whole bunch of orz. Does she look like she's struggling now or is she still doing okay?
  14. Cannons and BBL are also technically worse than CS1. Though... when all is said and done, I'd be surprised to not see Sword Iris nerf.
  15. Some things are technicality already worse than CS1 status *cough*2C*cough*. But J.2C still cancels into normals on landing, special (and normal?) cancellable on air hit. I think her wind mobility is the same (meaning wind tech is still in and pumpkin isn't sad life). They didn't take away j.A overhead. So as long as there's nothing detrimental enough to where those three can't keep her standing, yeah... it's impossible for her to be CS1 status. She'll just be kinda butt, but not garbage.
  16. ちょっと触ったけど、5Aの補正がきつくなってる気がする。 5A2段を当てて450しか減らなかったけど、前からだっけ・・・ I think this means 5A (two hit version) does 450 damage (which is a buff). No idea what the first line means.
  17. Yeah. Most of the cast got toned down. It's likely that Hazama v. Rachel, Hakumen v. Rachel, Mu v. Rachel will be really annoying. Litchi v. Rachel will probably stay even. And even though Noel still gets really high damage in the corner, drive mash died so that will help out that match up. Overall, she's not going to be super garbage... but not anything great.
  18. Nah. Those are still helpful to know. Rachel had trouble comboing Makoto in CS2... So that's kind of nice to know. Other people posted the same. 6B being negative is probably to extra nerf Tager v. Rachel.

A lot of people are posting that they're having a hard time extending combos (like in the post above the user said he tried using (6C?) 5B 5CC B cannon dash 5CC 3C Iris 3C and that seemed to be all you could do). Pumpkin might be level 1. Cannons are now harder to combo off of CH. (Guy above posted asking if untechable time on B and C cannons on air CH has been decreased and that A cannon on CH seems harder to combo off of).

But this post might be bogus because with BBL nerf I don't see how you can get 5k off of j.A and 8k off of 5B with 50 meter.
  24. 6B proration is worse. So hopefully that combo earlier that had a damage reduction from 3.8k to 3k is just due to 6B being ass. Pumpkin proration is also now worse. 避雷針だけで4ヒット420ダメですた バングに5B>3D>JBあたるようになった Something something rods 4 hits (I think BBL rods) 420 damage. So... despite it being weaker than Sword Iris, it now does less damage. 5B 3D j.B something on Bang Overall weaker. :V
  25. 南瓜の補正きつく 蛙のダメージ低下 リリーのダメージ低下 2Cのダメージ低下 6Bの補正きつく とりあえずダメージ系で分かったのはこれぐらい Uh... the only parts of that I understand are 2C, BBL, and frog all got damage nerfed. BBL nerf sounds like it's just body BBL. Someone asked if BBL rod damage is no longer sadness.
