  1. We're going to visit that maid cafe (depending on how out of the way it is). Planning 4%? Norcal we're going to make time for Karaoke! Ginseng! Warm up those vocal chords!
  2. Well... as far as drivers, pretty much all of us can drive. :V It's just a matter of who wants to drive the boat. XD; Also... I keep hearing about this maid cafe near AI... Anyway- as far as a schedule, Seattle is notoriously bad at this whole schedule planning thing (spontaneous 1am meets for Pho). We'll try to think of one, but what's likely to happen is that we'll swarm in on Norcal like locusts and eat all your food, then get kicked out and do the same thing to Socal. Only thing is in Socal, we take your maids.
  3. Rachel Camero? If I got a Camero, I'd totally make it Rachel colored schemed. Even if it was tacky as hell, it'd be super cool. I'd also design a BBL cannon for it. Take care of traffic hardcore style.
  4. Yup. Burst counts as projectile... meaning you can't punish bursts with lobelia. Such is sad life.
  5. Just to clarify- the match up of Rachel v. V-13 in CT is really nothing like the match up of Rachel v. Lambda in CS. You do have to be really patient. And if you're losing to Nus online- it's not your fault. Lag is pretty much a free win for V-13 since all her swords are safe and it's pretty tough to instant block. Even on really good connections you're looking at 5 frames + lag. V-13 is much much easier to deal with offline (though still an annoying match up). Basically, use opportunities when you can to get out pumpkin, bait her 2Cs, block a lot and get used to falling asleep while holding back and waiting for your wind to regain. V-13 is just as weak to j2C as every other character is, so make good use of that. If you get her in the corner, harass her and try to bait the burst. If you manage that, you win. You really don't want to get hit by her burst since you have to do the whole song and dance of trying to catch her again, and that game is a lot easier for her than it is for you. So I guess you could look at this as an opportunity to learn how to burst bait. But... yeah... other than burst, once she's in the corner just do one of Rachel's crazy damage setups into 3 rod BBL and down she goes.
  6. She's a gothic lolita with a cat umbrella that can uppercut you and an expendable minion named George. If she didn't have these things going for her, I'd go button mash with Arakune or play Carl.
  7. ... Did I miss something? ... Nevermind. Wind itself doesn't seem changed. I haven't played CS in a few weeks but has anyone tested the effectiveness of 6C into j2C?
  8. Thanks for the information. That's really useful to know that 6B can be used for more than just trolling and Tari Hype Combos.
  9. About how close do you have to be to link 5B? Because I so far haven't been able to get 5A to link... but I could be hitting it too late?
  10. I checked the video and I wasn't magnetized, just barely out of range. Pumpkin summon just saved me from being pulled into range. Uh.... if you're looking for an advantage, you could surprise people with 6C j2C. Most people crouch when they block 6C, so you can hit them with j2C any time you want and then special cancel into sword iris for a combo. Even if they're not crouching, they'll usually try to go for a punish and you can hit them with j2C anyway. 5A is faster in this game so it's a better poke. So is 2A. Pokes (5A 2A jA) will be where you're getting most of your damage. Frame data is out so read that and learn what you can IB and punish. 6B on CH combos into BBL (if you have convenient rods). If you want to do lulz Rachel timeout tactics, empty Sword Iris also helps keep you in the air.
  11. Uh... if possible, I'd like a little information on how Rachel vs. Hakumen is only 4.5 for Rachel.
  12. 6C into j2C is actually a pretty good option. Instant overhead.
  13. Pretty sure I was on the ground. I'll test it out when I get the chance and see what's up with it.
  14. I'm going to investigate this a little bit, but last night I did something weird. I avoided getting 720ed with pumpkin summon. This happen to anyone else?
  15. Not unless she catches you with random 5B or 6A. 3 rod + her BBL does 3.6k damage on random hit. Her most likely starters are George or 5A/2A/2B, all of which prorate hard. You could try to tack on a bit of extra damage with level 3 j2C or go for okii. If you have extra heat you can go for the crazy wuku combo, but they could just burst because Rachel's lucky if she gets that setup once per match. Either way, in most normal scenarios 3 rod BBL in the corner, it'll be about 4kish or a bit above. If Rachel really had damaging options to worry about, you wouldn't see Kaqn decide to take the: "Blocking? What's that?" Approach when facing Matsu.
  16. I hope you're joking. This match up is extremely easy for Ragna. It's a 7:3 in his favor. 2C goes through Rachel's A Lobelia and gives you a free 5k combo. Just the general scrub Ragna pressure game > Hers. Learn to block 4B because it's extremely slow and obvious. Don't really worry about TK j2C because she can only combo into A cannon after that. 5CC A Cannon you can just 5B CH her after blocking A cannon. Rachel has no damaging options. Even if she gets you in the corner with three rods and 50 heat, you're maybe looking at 4k damage. Don't air dash her if she's full screen and has 50 heat because she'll use Tempest Dahlia as a punish (though the damage is pretty lulz). If she does it at close range, it's a pretty suicidal move as your 5A will beat it out. Ragna's normals > Hers. Ragna's pressure > Hers. Ragna's damage and meter gain >>>> Hers. If anything just concentrate on being able to catch her. Pumpkin summon is punishable from 3/4's screen away and if she's anywhere near you while summoning you're likely to be able to punish. Ragna can take out George in one hit and pumpkin isn't really something to worry about. And don't run into cat chair all day, lrn2block, etc. If you lose this match as Ragna, you did something very wrong.
  17. I thought he meant the ground BBL being faster. Sorry. I haven't had my morning coffee. But... uh... yeah. Being able to link BBL from jC without landing first is because air BBL is faster.
  18. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fckbv1fPWO8 It was possible in CT. I guess just no one really paid attention to it. 6A into BBL might be easier because the longer recovery time makes buffering easier. Aerial BBL matches the speed of ground BBL or is pretty close, but I don't think that ground BBL has gotten any faster. 6C does link into j2C both on hit and on block (lol instant overhead). Though I'm wondering if you can force a level 2 or level 3 to register if you make 6C go high enough.
  19. Hitstun is less and it doesn't hit opponent's as high. Also hits large characters on crouch. Though... for some reason 6A into BBL feels really easy in this game.
  20. Main event is soooo overrated. Remember- you'll be as hype as... Ladies SF4 OMG! As long as there's good competition it's still worth going to. There will still be side events for BBCS and BBCT. Just... I'd rather practice for a game that matters.
  21. There is that other thread that no one bothers to update.
  22. Your poke game and normals still > his. Though I don't see how just sitting there and zoning him would work because it didn't work in CT. He can Sledge through both TD and BBL. It sucks. He can also sledge, back dash, react to pretty much all your projectiles and zoning attempts. But... overall your normals still beat his. So do what you can with pokes, then space yourself to get out George/pumpkin and try again. You can also do basic tricks like punish him for trying to kill George. 214A can still beat out Spark Bolt and not get you magnetized, but the timing is strict so you basically have to psychic it. It's better to just super jump it. On the plus side- Tager's also huge so j3DB still works reliably. jC also hits him on crouch.
  23. This = no. D swords eat both Lobelia and Pumpkin. Full screen is not an option. Her tackle is fast, but both versions are unsafe on block. Focus on closing in which should be easier now that her 5D and 5C got neutered. Her sword wave and wheel shouldn't really be a problem. George is a good tool. Actually, I think now that he doesn't jump he goes under Lambda's 5D. Her DP is also unsafe on block so bait it. She can only do it like maybe twice per match (cool down time on that thing is a bitch). Your pokes are good against her too. Basically it comes to RTSD and making sure to keep pressure on her with mix ups. If she jumps, 6A still works pretty well. Don't try to zone her as she can shut down your zoning by just pressing D. Also- make sure you don't get cornered because Lambda has a corner loop that happens to work REALLY well on Rachel.
  24. Well in CT it was pretty safe because even if they hit you, usually it would trade hits and at least you'd have a rod down. But... because it disappears now... I'm pretty sure characters other than Ragna can be like: PFFFFFFT A lobelia. For what Rachel got, her OTG hitbox better be smaller in the next game. No more Litchi 6C loop nonsense or Jin ice train nonsense.
  25. Practice practice practice. I tried to do it a few times in matches last night, but for the most part failed.
