I'm wanting AT LEAST top 32 in SC5 and Marvel next year. Blazblue... meh, I probably won't practice too much in it. I only lost in Marvel last year because I wasn't comfortable with using PS controls (although Tad saved my ass, because I really suck with PS3 pads). That won't be repeated next time around...

Hey Tad. Do you still have a PS1 controller with converter that I can borrow for Final Round? I'd like to practice a lot with it before the big tournament this time around. I'm probably going so far as to borrow a friend's PS3, Gamefly'ing Marvel and SC5 for it, and practicing a month or two ahead of time.

On the 10th, we should all go to the Alabama tournament (only 2 hours away). They came to the tournament last Saturday and filled us all in on their Dec. 10th tournament. Several states are showing up according to them.

Chandler, that feeling is going to happen. You'll get used to it after a while. Marvel is just a fast-paced game, must faster than SF and BB. Naimat, I'm glad you came to the conclusion that Marvel is fun and you got the saltiness.

It's not a matter of inputting things fast. It's the fact that, even though real time is passing, input time is frozen. You are right that the 6 input is counted from the first 236 motion. The other problem is that this only affects supers that have a hyper freeze of 12 or more frames. A guy over on SRK tested every character and made a list of who it affects.

Triple post. I fought an awesome Joe today that almost beat me. He had some sick setups. I won because he used that slowdown on Hulk and tried to keep the pressure. Never saw the super slow gamma crush coming... lol

No, I compared them a few posts up. Dorm's hyper -> XF -> hyper acts funny if it's in a long combo. It used to always work in vanilla, but in Ultimate, not so much.

They're both "heavy hitters." They both have a hard time against zoners. Their mobility is pretty similar (small dashes/jump-cancelled dashes). They both have a hard time opening up an opponent without assists. They both have a near-invincible "gtfo me" assist.

Because Nemesis is a worse version of Hulk.

Dr. Strange is fun to fight. His launcher is like -500 on block. Hawkeye is instantly awesome because of poison arrows and slide. Phoenix Wright is hit or miss. Ghost Rider is really solid but hard to get used to. Nova is a better Iron Man, and he has an OVERHEAD ASSIST. Rocket Raccoon is just tiny. Vergil isn't vastly better than Dante like everyone thought (he uses way too much meter). Iron Fist is just a smaller Hulk with rekkas. Frank West actually has potential. The Dormammu buffs are hilarious. Naimat, you're going to hate how fast Dorm is now. We're talking Magneto speed. Also, lol @ Doom. He's in his own tier.
