@ Midnight: If you were getting your tuition paid for by scholarships or parents, I would've recommended sticking with it, because that opportunity might never come again. Hopefully you'll find a good paying job though. @ Naimat: Maybe too much of that in your sig caused the exam problems. LOL. The cop thing sucks though.

I wanted to correct something Milln said too. Most tournaments (e.g. WNF, MWC, most Spooky-streamed east coast tournaments, etc.) ACTUALLY run on 360. The three big sponsored ones (FR, FR qualifiers, EVO) run on PS3. This is a really stupid tradition that needs to be broken, but you just have to grin and bear it for now.

Oh yeah, MWC room is a no go. That place is going to be a planetarium or something. Richard told me that on the Alabama trip.

Looks like a solid team to me, Naimat. Not only is that Iron Fist assist a gtfo-me assist, it's also a great combo extender. Dante is still decent, and Hawkeye's just cheap. lol

Also, the bracket runner for Marvel also played in the tournament. If you're running a bracket of that size, there is no point in trying to play and run things simultaneously. It stalls the tournament. I know Milln does this, and it's fine in our smaller tournaments.

Guys, I'm sorry I made you watch that horrific stream. The tournament as a whole was a clusterfuck. Allow me to explain. First of all, I raped everyone in casual matches. I sat there beating 8-10 people, including Raekwon. At this point, the whole room was yelling about Hulk, because I was abusing the infinite on EVERY hit I landed. People were even chanting "RAPE YOU!" So that was fun. Second, all tournaments started two hours late. This is unacceptable, as people who travelled went home MUCH later than expected. Third, I placed third in the 3S tournament. It was a 5-man round round robin, and after I played my matches, the dude putting together the brackets walked up to Sara (the organizer that was kind enough to buy me an executive chair since I couldn't take my own) saying he forgot two people in the 3S tournament. It was then too late to make it a 7-man bracket. Fourth, Raekwon was left out of the KoF bracket, even though he probably would've won or placed second at least. Fifth, a strong AE player from Memphis was left out of the AE bracket. Luckily, he won the $100 raffle before leaving. Sixth, players were NOT seeded by skill and/or region. As a result, Raekwon and I, possibly the two strongest Marvel players there, were matched up in the first round. When we tried contesting it, the guy just kind of shrugged and said, "Just bad luck." This was bullshit, because one of the guys I rode with was switched three times in AE because he kept getting matched up against TN players. So, I lost my first match. This instantly knocked me out from being on the stream, because they only streamed winners brackets matches. I won my next match, then was paired up against PotatoSalad. He's a solid player, and beat me 2-1 in our matches. Taskmaster carried him because it's a hellacious matchup for Hulk. You guys can't fathom how hard it is to stand there and see 6 players in top 8 that you DOMINATED in casuals while you're out of the tournament. I wasn't really salty that I lost, but it was more anger towards the shoddy bracket work.

You get command grabs in honor of Thor. Chandler: The Hulk infinite. I bestow the infinite unto you because you love training mode and finding broken/weird things. Milln: Dormammu level 3. I know you like that pimple-popping super, so that one's for you. Naimat: A perfect. This is tough, but I can squeeze out at least one perfect. May the butthurt flow from you to my opponent. Star: Gamma Wave spam. I'll show you that the heavy hitter/grappler of the game can also zone like no other. Doro: That Wesker combo. Yeah, you know which one. cr.M, qcf A, gunshot, cr.M, qcf A, gunshot, etc.

It's tomorrow, not today. lol Nah. As weird as it sounds, I'm finally becoming confident in my abilities and knowledge in a game (sadly, it just so happened to be Marvel - a game that gets a bad rep for supposedly being scrub-friendly, mashy, or just plain dumb). In Blazblue, I was ALWAYS nervous because I used Tager, a character that's easily lamed out by a multitude of things. I was good at SC4 but was very fresh to the tournament environment. In UMvC3, I finally feel like I know how to handle all the matchups. Also, these guys I'll be playing aren't free in the slightest. One of them is the guy that knocked me out at MWC. Another dude from Memphis will be there, and he just beat me in grand finals in last months Game Galaxy tournament. I'm not entirely sure, but Raekwon, who took first at MWC without losing a round, might be there. So yeah, I've got some hefty competition. Thank you, good sir. Marvel is still rushdown-oriented, even though zoning is better in this iteration.

If no other venues can be found/used, then I can still make it to Milln's place. 16 steps isn't too bad, and it would be much different if it was like 3rd or 4th floor. Hell, if we have to, we'll just get the whole crowd of you to hoist me up, crowd-surfing style. Would the apartment be big enough for our crowd though? If everyone chipped some venue fee in, why not try MWC room?
