  1. I meant jump during the superflash. But please, try to 2b me on wake up.
  2. Yeah man fuck meter let me throw this bitch out there. It's not even like Agneyastra where it gives the character a well needed opening to advance forward, or even Mabufudyne where the character essentially gets 4 free mixups, her awakening super is straight up throw it out an wake up and hope the other person is pressing a button. If you can't get crossed up, I'm fairly certain you can jump on reaction. Either way yes, it is an option (just like r-actions), but there are a million better different ways to use meter, but if you want to use that option often, (along with every other option that isn't blocking) I'll just have to dumb myself down to play you like the second time I played Cary lol.
  3. You should play Cary, though I think his wake up priority goes: roll > awakening super > r-action > jump > 2A > regular super > block
  4. Yep, black people love anime.
  5. Actually I still see the link to prereg on the website. Can anyone confirm if I can prereg today or not?
  6. Oh alright. I should probably get around to registering... EDIT: One day too late. Sorry, had to wait for my paycheck today!
  7. Can't you check and see how many people have prereged for each game from the website? I mean obviously there will be late entrants but you might be able to get an idea.
  8. '^'
  9. I know it may be hard to believe, but I did have one or two alcoholic beverages this weekend.
  10. IMO wake up super more.
  11. My girl is 20 bro, though she does often get carded when buying R rated movie tickets. And yep, just a basic Lab player. Nothing special. Also yes, consistent tournament placements are generally a good indicator of skill level, though there are cases such as Theo/feux follets who just doesn't enter tournaments, but is easily the best player in the state. Furthermore I don't claim to be good at any fighting games, especially not Persona. That ain't no option select either, aside from my... friendly shit talking directed towards Tampa, I have never explicitly claimed to be good at any game, except for Bloody Roar. If you think that me saying a player is bad or average is implying that I am good or better than them please note that I begin or end most, if not all of my "analysis" with "I think" or "IMO." But lastly if you really do want to talk about tournament placements for some reason, I've placed top 8 at every Florida tournament I've ever entered, but mainly just 5th place and I think a couple 7th places. I'm eagerly awaiting to get completely blown up at Summer Jam this weekend. And yourself?
  12. Well aware, don't give a fuck. Tbh didn't seem like he was that great of a player. Work for wins? With braindead Labrys? lol I think just like Kanji, Labrys is a real easy character to win with against people who don't have that experience yet. The only genuinely good Lab player at the tournament was Guardian IMO. You say he's good at games? What has he ever placed in besides this tournament? Never heard of him.
  13. So does Guardian, except his Aigis kinda sucks. Unfortunately all 300 people who claimed to be playing 4-5 characters once the game dropped are still having trouble learning one. Admittedly I'm one of them, in my case I'm not playing either one of the characters I said I was going to before the game came out, but who knew I would end up hating this game? Like I said, the game have a lot of players delusions of grandeur, bad players thinking they would suddenly be good and so on. I've been saying the same people would be placing since before the game came out and I was right. EDIT: Dawn if you're reading this... marry me.
  14. Pretty sure Persona only had good numbers because it was $5 entry. Good games or whatever. Surprise surprise, the same people that placed in Blazblue are placing in Persona. Surprise surprise! Nobody is playing more than one character like they said they would.
  15. Tampa Never Sleeps P4U Top 8: 1. Juggernaut (Akihiko) 2. Mystic (Yu) 3. Gentlemantheif (Lab) 4. Guardian (Lab) 5. DC (Mitsuru) 5. MLorenzo (Mitsuru) 7. Dawn (Kanji) 7. Mystical Moose (Lab) 64 entrants, 4 pools, 4 setups, 6 hours, pretty ridiculous amount of alcohol.
  16. Irrelevant.
  17. TEAM SOUTH FLORIDA AT TAMPA NEVER SLEEPS "I am Thou... Thou art I..." Featuring south Florida's up and coming stars & their Personas... (click their Persona for way too much information) DC (Chariot Arcana) Persona: Ares Weapon: Gauntlets Mystic (Fool Arcana) Persona: Ozemos Weapon: Two-handed Swords Juggernaut (Justice Arcana) Persona: Melchizedek (Or Melchie, for short) Weapon: Knives Mystical Moose (Magician Arcana) Persona: Surt Weapon: Staffs 2Link (Star Arcana) Persona: Garuda Weapon: Axes
  18. Double posting.
  19. Well I should get to Tampa sometime between 9 and 10pm. Can you get me a 12 pack of Pabst Blue Ribbon please. I'm driving 4 hours and just want to be inebriated when I get there.
  20. Alright, didn't realize the static difference frame data was out already. No, her j.bb by itself is not hard to react to at all. After hard knockdown, what makes her mixup ambiguous is air turn backdash 2a. She lands faster than normal making it hard to follow if you're expecting a normal air dash.
  21. Again, they have the exact same 5a. EDIT: Startup-wise, but I can't imagine the recovery being any different.
  22. Compared to what? Chie's only overhead option is 23 frame AOA, which is the speed of an average standing overhead. It will hit sometimes, it will miss sometimes. Missing will get you punished. Raging Lion is a bit slower but it is both safe on block and can be extremely hard to see with 5d oki. Like what? Narukami can easily hit 4k in the corner. Again, not only does Narukami in actuality hit comparable damage to Chie, even if it was "500-1000k" less damage, his superior offense, neutral and oki make up for this without a doubt. Narukami is the stronger character. I don't believe that anyone was arguing that they are similar characters at all, all that was said is that Narukami can do a similar hard knockdown > oki as Chie but undeniably does it better, along with better offense and neutral. Chie is definitely a strong character in her own right. Her mobility is better than Naru's and the advantages she probably has over Yu is the ability to get higher damage off of random hits (say, a CH j.B leads to just under 4k) and the fact that everything is jump cancellable. But I think overall it's safe to say Narukami is the stronger character of the two. (But AGAIN, nobody is saying Chie is bad or weak character at all.)
  23. Surely I don't have to explain to you why this is dumb.
  24. Pretty sure Chamber Shot was meant to end normal midscreen combos (but can and will be used for other purposes) Consider how Noel is one of the few characters that could not get a hard knockdown after like a midscreen 5a. (Disregard 5a 6a for a second, as that requires very close range) After a 5a her midscreen combo is something like 5b 5c 2c, no knockdown and no knockdown. (Now consider a character like Ragna who can end in Hell's Fang) Hopefully Chamber Shot can fill that void after 2c to give her actual midscreen combos. But hey I could be completely wrong, I've only watched like part of one video lol.
