  1. So the $1101 pot bonus for BB isn't a typo? Alright, time to start practicing BB again...
  2. WE IN THERE Florida should be attending with at least 4-6 players, including myself and a beautiful female Kanji player. Note that I am her bodyguard and I wouldn't recommend flirting with her, see sig. TWO MONTHS OF HYPE GO~ EDIT: Couldn't help but notice that P4U isn't a tournament in the first post, but BB has a $1000+ bonus pot? lolwut
  3. The first time you went the game wasn't even out, and this past weekend we didn't even have casuals. I was in Philly and the rest of south Florida was in Orlando for a tournament. Our meetups are Monday nights and you have never attended.
  4. I feel like I shouldn't have to clarify that I was talking about you and Skane.
  5. ??? People who can't be bothered to make it out to our weekly casuals talking about plane tickets? lol
  6. Shout outs to everyone I fucking met, including all you guys from the interwebs that I've known since early CT like Jourdal and OmniSScythe. All my relatively new interweb friends like SKD and Cirno, and everyone I met at the tourney for the first time like Lord Knight who I BET MONEY I would despise but turns out he was cool as fuck. Sorry, too many people to shout out. If you met me and I didn't beat you up then you're cool. Thanks stickbutt an big e for one of the most well run tournies of 2012.
  7. I aim to please, my friend! Sadly I was only able to make top 8....... in my pool lol. 4 pools, 35ish players per pools. Won't lie, definitely didn't practice as much as I should have! Also I don't netplay so my matchup experience showed, I lost to a Yukiko and a Chie player, neither of which exist in Florida though. Definitely got a lot of valuable exp on the east coast, but I think it's safe to say Florida is nowhere near their level, for now at least. Even their scrubs are pretty good! Made some really good friends too, and Dawn and I will be heading to Philly in December for NEC, hope more of you scrubs can make it out with us! Almost forgot to type "it" in that last sentence.
  8. Hey uh, I'm bringing a lesbian Kanji player to NEC. Heading to the airport now, thanks for the games kiddos but next time we need to have an actual day for casuals. Shout outs later.
  9. It's been a while Michi, but I see your art is still as amazing as ever. I figured you'd play Yosuke~ <3
  10. I don't remember any of that honestly lol
  11. My tier list, of course IMO. S Tier: Aigis, Mitsuru A Tier: Yu, Teddie, Akihiko > Chie B Tier: Elizabeth > Shadow Labrys, Labrys > Naoto, Yukiko, Yosuke, Kanji Bad Tier: N/A Horizontal placement doesn't matter unless specified with a >. The existence of an (empty) of a bad tier is to emphasize that every character is completely viable. B tier is not "low" tier, it's just B tier. The characters above them may be "better" characters but that doesn't mean characters in the last tier are bad. CT Tager was a bad character. CS1 Noel was a bad character. IMO there are no "bad" characters in this game, but higher characters definitely have something about them (say, superior mixup, options, damage, matchups, etc) that makes them a more viable character. Also I honestly don't think there's enough data on Elizabeth and Shadow Lab to really accurately put them anywhere on the tier list, but to say Liz is the worst character in the game seems pretty baseless to me.
  12. Nah.
  13. I meant jump during the superflash. But please, try to 2b me on wake up.
  14. Yeah man fuck meter let me throw this bitch out there. It's not even like Agneyastra where it gives the character a well needed opening to advance forward, or even Mabufudyne where the character essentially gets 4 free mixups, her awakening super is straight up throw it out an wake up and hope the other person is pressing a button. If you can't get crossed up, I'm fairly certain you can jump on reaction. Either way yes, it is an option (just like r-actions), but there are a million better different ways to use meter, but if you want to use that option often, (along with every other option that isn't blocking) I'll just have to dumb myself down to play you like the second time I played Cary lol.
  15. You should play Cary, though I think his wake up priority goes: roll > awakening super > r-action > jump > 2A > regular super > block
  16. Yep, black people love anime.
  17. Actually I still see the link to prereg on the website. Can anyone confirm if I can prereg today or not?
  18. Oh alright. I should probably get around to registering... EDIT: One day too late. Sorry, had to wait for my paycheck today!
  19. Can't you check and see how many people have prereged for each game from the website? I mean obviously there will be late entrants but you might be able to get an idea.
  20. '^'
  21. I know it may be hard to believe, but I did have one or two alcoholic beverages this weekend.
  22. IMO wake up super more.
  23. My girl is 20 bro, though she does often get carded when buying R rated movie tickets. And yep, just a basic Lab player. Nothing special. Also yes, consistent tournament placements are generally a good indicator of skill level, though there are cases such as Theo/feux follets who just doesn't enter tournaments, but is easily the best player in the state. Furthermore I don't claim to be good at any fighting games, especially not Persona. That ain't no option select either, aside from my... friendly shit talking directed towards Tampa, I have never explicitly claimed to be good at any game, except for Bloody Roar. If you think that me saying a player is bad or average is implying that I am good or better than them please note that I begin or end most, if not all of my "analysis" with "I think" or "IMO." But lastly if you really do want to talk about tournament placements for some reason, I've placed top 8 at every Florida tournament I've ever entered, but mainly just 5th place and I think a couple 7th places. I'm eagerly awaiting to get completely blown up at Summer Jam this weekend. And yourself?
  24. Well aware, don't give a fuck. Tbh didn't seem like he was that great of a player. Work for wins? With braindead Labrys? lol I think just like Kanji, Labrys is a real easy character to win with against people who don't have that experience yet. The only genuinely good Lab player at the tournament was Guardian IMO. You say he's good at games? What has he ever placed in besides this tournament? Never heard of him.
