Georgia: Home of final round ~ Find BB/GG Players!
FunkyP replied to Smilax's topic in Offline Community
$250 nets you a brand new PS3, you could surely find a used one cheaper than that. Also Iceman pulled through and we'll have CS at Revival -
Agreed, Noel really doesnt belong in a matchup discussion anyways ROFL
-
F-Miyako's 22C in MB looks like a jump, Noel's command grab works as a gimmick mixup if the other player has never seen it before. At high level play, people are gonna wanna look for whatever openings they can find to escape or retaliate. Now in a game with a lot of hitstun and chain blockstrings 10-14 frames might seem small, but twice that amount, I mean c'mon really. It might just be the most telegraphed command grab in the history of them.
-
It was 27 frames in CT, i don't think it changed much. It was combo filler only though. No matter who you are, you can react to 27 frames.

East Coast players can block telegraphed overheads

Elliot grab a PS3 because most all of us cept Chris plays on PS3. Sly there are a ton a SRKers in the Suwanee/Duluth area, but most of the comp is in Atlanta/Ga Tech. Also Revivals are monthly, with Augusta Super every couple months. -

Well you have to consider its a big Anime Con, people are gonna go there for the fact that its a con and usually tournaments also happen. Throwing your own tournament that day isnt gonna sway anyone from ditching AWA. Usually I'm not a big enough otaku to go, yet I have a feeling this year I might be inclined to go. Oh not to mention it's like 5-10 minutes from my campus. -
Team spooky has some top tier East Coast commentary, that'll be hype to watch for sure

Elliot, curios as to when you get back we need you to play at our sessions. ATL needs to level up as fast as possible as soon as CS drops, we got 4 days from that point to Revival. -

Hmmm, I've never really been hype about AWA, but i guess I'll might as well go to this year's -
Litchi has to play somewhat higher risk than Bang does. Her defense is also weaker to Bang's by a good bit. Also Bang spins circles around the entire cast by a large margin, while the rest of the cast has it slightly easier fighting her.

So prohibited that most anyone that attends a tournament uses one of these insanely expensive devices? I don't think i've ever met anyone at a tournament that was forced on pad due to money constraints. Players choose their prerogative when it comes to input device. If you're not able to afford a stick, you shouldn't be a part of the competitive fighting game community. It cost money to do so, money thats not always guaranteed to get back in rewards. Honestly, button bindings are no big deal. Skilled players will come out on top and one would believe they're solid on execution whatever they play on.
-
they certainly help seeing as how ass Noel's throw range is the extra start up frames also make it less likely to purple grab
-
Actually that happens a lot, very very common. The actual reason is due to the game's recognition of command inputs rather that actually buttons. A big problem in vanilla 4 was Bison's ultra would always come out as teleport, and various other screw ups as such.
-
i have tried kara canceling 5d into grab, it works, never tried it mid drive though.
-
That loop was in the red beat video, in that he went up to like 9-10k before he ended it with super.
-
THe base looks like it snapped, the pivot and washer shouldn't be exposed like that. That JLF might be fubar'd

Tim your stick has been fixed for a while now, whenever you want it back tell me -
its looks to be 15 frames on the ground, and 7-26F are in the air
-
lol, yea i like the discussion on j.4d and its invincibility when most of us know first hand that its garbage and we'll rarely use it.
-
Don't really mean to get involved here as i know next to nothing about Kune, however with this statement, there's a mechanic in the game that forces IB's after somewhere around 6 seconds of pure blockstun. Surely an Ara would rather go for resets or tech traps rather than wait to get IB'd then reversaled.

The juggle physics seem to be different now as they carry momentum when being bounced. While in juggle 66c to 22c will cause them to bounce high, while 22bc puts them at a set height. 22b sets them on the ground and dampens their momentum, while 22c launches them.

Well you know Ivysaur, Elliot, Chris, and I will be for sure. Also what do people think about recording/streaming BB sessions. I signed up for a justin.tv account, I'm sitting on the fence about getting recording gear.
