  1. A simple definition is that a disjointed hitbox is part of an attack that has a a hitbox (Can hit the enemy), but no hurtbox (Noel can't be hit by the enemy at that part.) I wanna say I agree 5C should be disjointed, especially because it's considered projectile by the game (Tager, hakumen).
  2. Never once heard Cash battle used in smash. And, to repeat, don't be afraid to ask for friendlies. Also don't be afraid (If you're running the show) to ask for help. a trusted friend can run pool, or supervise, say, losers bracket while you take care of winners. And Skye posted Tio earlier in the thread. While yes, it originated from smash(inb4hate), it is a very high quality free tournament organizer.
  3. And they can forward / back tech out pretty easily it looks like, even if they don't have barrier (ie bursted)
  4. With the old CT information, just a suggestion. Keep it in it's own thread, but un-sticky it. Same with the other CT threads. That way they're still there for us to find, but not making it convoluted up at the top. If there is enough threads you could make a sticky that just has links to various guides and topics for all the important CT information and threads. I say this because Deleting it would make it nigh impossible for, if any newcomers want to play CT over CS, and merging it would just make the topics themselves a bit large and hard to read.
  5. Missing the DASH may not have repercussions though. Certain characters, like, Jin, you can do 6A 6C (BC) 6C (BC) 6C Drive combo with no dash at all assuming a closest range 6A. Most characters cept like, Carla, arakune, Tao, etc you can get at least 2 on with no Dash. Keeping that in mind will allow you to at least move on to learn the rest of the combo, be it air or groudn bnb. And the damage won't be TOO much smaller. the 66C is done, assuming no online or HDTV lag, when Noel 'bobs' Her head after the grab whiff. In other news dont' worry abotu how long it took to learn the air combo either. Only ever played SF games before this so air combos were non existant. Took me a looong time to get used to them myself. Jins air BnB and Ragna's air bnb's were hard to get down.
  6. No one smart looks at Jins C-mash combos and cals them scrubby. I doubt it'll be the same for Hazama.
  7. Ah, I'm free... I work most days 5-10 PM MST, so before then or way later in the evening works for me. Preferably before so I have me time to warm up, and so my hands aren't freezing from the -30 C drive home haha.

  8. I use heat for supers, Rapid cancelling and coutner assaults. I dunno what you guys use it for.
  9. If it were more educational, sure, seeing the timing would likely help a lot of players. Entertainment wise you'll need flashier stuff Like, impractically flashy stuff that uses heat for no purpose other than looking cool.
  10. lmao I love how this is in every matchup forum.
  11. 5C and 5B both link to 3C on CH, yeah, but I've never tried 6C. I was just online and did it (5D CH) to some tager. Lots. But the timing is in my head like, one of those second nature things, where you know how to do it but can't like, spell it out so to speak.
  12. I love Optic barrel in this match. Either they sledge, eat the blockstun, or jump. All 3 work in your favour.
  13. Actually, does anyone know if you could IB something in Tagers blockstrings and then 5D the sledge on reaction after?
  14. Tagers sledge is projectile immune from frames... Hell if I know, I don't have the frame data.I could prolly dig it up but if you're like me seeing frames won't help you too much. You want to time it so you use your invincibility to go through his movement / attack portion, but actually hit afterwards when he's vulnerable to projectiles.
  15. All I know is online, I hate this matchup almost as much as Arakune vs Noel. Lag makes tager scary. But this isn't about lag tactics. I saw in another thread that you can 5D to counter sledge on reaction. Is tehre any actual value to this? It works. You see the sledge, wait a bit and 5D and it goes right through and hits him as he finishes projectiel invuln. 5D 6C 214A combo from there.
  16. It does, but it's a bitch to time IMO.
  17. So, what am I supposed to do i she has a pumpkin out? It seems like it shuts down ALL my options if they're smart with it. Is it better to block high or low? Ugh, getting hit once by a Rachel often leads to me getting perfected. I know NOTHING about this matchup.
  18. 2 Questions. If I'm cursed, is it better to try for a lucky poke (J.A, 5A, etc) or try to wait it out? And if He's beginning the 6C loop, is it better to burst ASAP or let it finish? How many air unblockable moves does Arakune have that you need barrier for? And lastly, what are some good "Start of round" Ideas aside from block?
  19. The dash is usually done 66C, so right after a 22C. I know for the 66C (B+C) 66C etc combos you do it when she bobs her head frm the grab, or at least that's how I got started until it became timing muscle memory. But the 22C dashes came naturally, so I don't know quite how to explain it.
  20. He can sledge through the second hit of 6C as well, I've eaten a CH sledge due to a whiffed 6C, and he barrel'd on through it.
  21. What's this matchup rated at, anyway? It is by far my hardest matchup.
  22. I agree. That 5B is ridiculous, the bodyslam, right? I played a great Tao today. He was leagues ahead of me skillwise but I also had no clue what to do in the matchup. Any pressure I'd try to apply would be countered (Probably because I'd end up 6Bing into 3C out of really bad habits. That's beside the point.) I couldn't tell when I could tech during her combos, cept the air grabs. I couldn't tell when I could interrupt her blockstrings, even if I instant blocked something I couldn't counter that overhead and would eat a CH. I suppose that's just not knowing the matchup but it was rather disorienting.
  23. Alright, thanks. Yeah, I'll wait until I get my stick before I meddle with him, or even Litchi. Assigning D to a new button would throw my Noel game out the window, and I don't want to do that until I get my stick lol.
  24. Carl's not one to play without a stick? Lets take 1. - [2A->5A->5B->5C->(6D)->66]xN -- standard ground loop for example. I can't get Nirvana's attack initiated without breaking my own combo, because unlike with an arcade stick, I only have one button (Thumb) on the face pads. Either that, or my issue is I have no time to input the 6D. Anyone else able to do it on a 360 or PSN controller? any tips? when is a good time to buffer the 6D so it comes out, but 6A doesn't come with it?
  25. Just fought this match. Kept getting beat by his superior ranged pokes. ON the ground, 5C, in the air, j.C. NO clue how to progress. My only real tool was 3C going under his 5B, but he caught on and used 5C more, and I couldn't beat that.
