  2. LOL mu is hella derp. She can win the round off of Round Start first attack pretty much. Any random hit into a slow ass "how does this combo work?" corner carry -> KD -> eat this free mixup. Like LK said aerial untech KD is too good. Although I feel the longer the match goes the harder it is for her to win.
  3. So far there are no known changes to vcl. As far as I know it is still a lv.3 move but I did not test it to confirm and noone else has said otherwise. Also forgot to test if note or CL built guardbar again...smh. Def on the to do list for next loketest.
  4. they dont bounce out of the corner. maybe with a special set-up we will see.
  5. corner perhaps. I think with the airdash change off a 6p corner she can possibly get HCL > P dive airdash x2 loops meterless. the damage on that would be rediculous. frc looks like it will be more essential for midscreen combos, basically the same as vanilla AC. This is gonna be #1 priority for me come next loketest.
  6. FB note is best as a full screen get in for free option. And with the new changes to HCL her corner combos have become easier as in #Reload corner loops. HCL comboed off of ground normals other than 6p > 5h will wall bounce and still net you knockdown. I will test some more at the 2nd loketest. Double airdash gives her superior mobility and mixup off a lvl 5 note, and essentially gives an triple dash coming out over hover. Also super useful as a great DP/reversal bait for free punish. All in all she felt really refreshing and new, sort of like the change from #Reload to Slash.
  7. What are you talking about man? If you miss slash back on a mixup and get hit with a jacked guardbar you are worse off than in AC where you just got hit with a normal combo. Now your bar gets raised ON TOP of whatever lvl move or string you were guarding in the first place. Tho the risk reward is still better than AC. Definitely not "little to no penalty".
  8. Phones were not allowed at all guy. They had the Arc-cops and special arcade security dudes wearing yellow jackets looking for phones and line skippers lol. And I didnt see Johnny action :-( nor Kliff for that matter.
  9. LoL my Japanese professor actually said that to me. I was flabbergasted. But anyway, All in all many ppl were impressed with the way the changes came about. nothing seemed too OP. 2 of Bottom 3 (Ino and Johnny) look to be super better. Bridget is still idk right now unless she gets a major dmg boost. The freedom and options another airdash gives Ino feels amazing.
  10. Kyougen is her dive. HS is the horizontal one.
  11. Listen, I have played all arcade fighting games in Japan, including games originally from older hardware/systems such as KOF 98/2002 UM on Nesica and there is NO input lag. These games do not have a native input buffer such as Blazblue does. The cabs are using industry grade real time displays. This is not a standard occurrence. This is not something that is common, it was a minor oversight on Arc's part in prep for the loketest. It will be adjusted in time for the HD cab upscale. Plus, when talking with the Japanese players at the loketest we were SPECIFICALLY mentioning how no other game or cab has this problem. Arc reps are at the loketest, it will be remedied.
  12. Whiff three times and your guard bar is flashing lol. Still tons more useful risk/reward than before. Plus when your character is near stun, the face portrait next to the lifebar will start to flash red. this is really useful as well, as you can tell its time to get the fuck outta dodge if your near stun.
  13. We were all really annoyed by the lag tho...kinda hard to test new combos/other things with input delay. especially chars who have new frc timings/moves and slashbacks.
  14. Looks a bit like the SF4/Tekken cabs.
  15. Haz literally get run train on. He cannot stop Litchi. I feel I can walk him to the corner after any random hit into tsubame/4D. Once he gets 50 meter you have to transition your approach if you dont already have him in the corner, but Haz's tend to fish for that non-2A/5A hit for Hotenjin otherwise it might not be worth it unless Litchi is w/o staff. After he gets 50 you can start to read their approach.
  16. Nice matchup breakdown. Japanese Carl's are so goddamn annoying. Everyone hates fighting that character. At least its not that bad for Litchi as it is for other chars. Ive seen top players made to look like complete scrubs against Carl....
  17. Its a slight hold but shorter than the one you would use comfortably for 5[D] > ]D[ > Chun. You have to make sure you hit them as high as possible off the 6D[m] as well so the staff 2 doesn't miss. This combo has been really annoying me as of late and I went back to: (2A) > 5B[m] > 2C > 6D > Hatsu > Haku > Chun > Haku > Hatsu > RiichiA > Ippatsu > Tanki Hatsu > 5D (slight hold) > Chun > 6D > 3C > 5D > 6C(2) > staff2 > ItsuuC > j.C > 5D - which is easier and nets you 3892 dmg off of 5B[m] (3141 dmg off 5/2A) anyway as compared to 3879 to the former (harder) combo.
  18. Skullgirls play was the best I've seen yet. Wish it had a Japanese release since it is sooooo hard to find a match. (hint @ Mike Z) Hopefully finalroundbats Tokyo has it. And the GG finals were fucking amazing!! Do we even play that game? Shoutouts to the revival!
  19. Short movie I made: Litchi Itsuu B midscreen corner carry combos (gives oki). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsq75m3Q_qc
  20. I had that trouble at first too. If you are at a distance where your dash inertia won't push their body back into the rebounding staff, you have to hit 5D as early as possible. I made a vid to show the different routes and timings/whatnot. vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsq75m3Q_qc
  21. I use this since it gives kokushi oki: Midscreen to -3 position. Itsuu B -> forward dash -> 5D -> haku -> hatsu (if at -3 position use chun instead) -> staff 2 -> tk chun -> -> {a} 6B[m] -> 6D[m] -> hatsu -> riichi A -> ippatsu -> tanki hatsu -> 5B -> 6C(1) -> 4 kote -> jB -> djBCD -> falling C -> slide 6A, 3516dmg--50meter OR -> {b} 2C[m] -> 4D -> 5D -> iad jC -> staff2 -> 6D[m] -> 5B -> 6C(1) -> 4 kote -> jB -> djBCD -> falling C -> slide 6A, 3110dmg--47meter
  22. No seriously I would go to the Arcade and NO machines were running BB lol. I was like WTF. Even BB meccas like alpha & Shinjuku sportsland were "occupy P4" status.
  23. Went to Tachikawa yesterday and teamed up with 8C (Plat). dropped confirms and didn't capitalize with better corner carry/oki on Hakumen. Got alot more meta-game to do. Luckily P4 fever is dying down a little and more Nesica machines are running BB again. So I should have plenty of opportunities to do so now that my school and baito (work) schedule actually gives me time to go to tourneys :-) www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbRLWJyFCLs&list=PLB21E691D93F8E5BF&index=1&feature=plpp_video#t=6m17s
  24. School just started today in Tokyo (yay!!) and my schedule for school and work (job) are alot more flexible this semester so I will be at Alpha station tomm night. I'm also able to go to Shinjuku sportsland Wednesdays and Tachikawa on Fri/Sat now. It was a bummer I barely was able to enter tourneys last semester but now that I can I'm def gonna go HAM. Plus dat P4U & KOF/MVC3.
  25. Seriously LI vs Relius/Tsubaki is omega free. Fuck japanese Taos, Mu's and Bangs. I have to play my ass off in just casuals to win those matchups. Tho I have done pretty well against H.H's Mu for some reason. o_O
