I like Mu as cold, heartless, nihilistic, and hell bent on destroying everything. I don't want the cuddly variety. Edit: OOOO! what if the new distortion worked kinda likes striders hyper in MvC2. You activate, and depending on how many stiens you have, they circle and fire. You'd be like, "It's Mu time now bitch!".
-
Eh... Mu's visual design always seemed a little uninspired to me. It looks better than lambda, but still.
-
At least not this time around. Eventually, you'll run into someone playing Hazama, Mu, Tao, or Arakune, and you'll want to shoot yourself.
-
I'm on board with anything that gets rid of Noel. Moving stiens all depends on how its implemented. Imagine doing it during the command laser.
-
I thought that was the point. In CS3, I want Mu to have the ability to move her stiens around after they're placed. (random thought)
-
Jin is gay... just sayin' Zaku! Zaku!
-
...Implying C.Viper doesn't look like a hooker. Lambda is just a Zaku on a diet.
-
Mu is a robot made of swords. I wouldn't want to go there. But she wears a tie, so is classy by default.
-
The only thing Mu had going for her was the lack of clothing, and then the first DLC character got revealed... That's okay, I player her for her... um... normals... yeah...
-
At least our 2A can do that reliably now. In CS1 you had to time it just before she kicked you to stuff the 3C with 2A.
-
Mu's jB hitbox always surprises me every time I look at it. It just doesn't look that big in game. It's a very good move though. Mu is alot like Sim in SF, you gotta pick the right normal for the right situation. She's got one for everything, but there isn't alot of overlap.

Tager can absolutely play a solid game to success in CS2, but there still a few matchups where he straight up doesn't have the tools to do much. Also, another character, played equally solidly, is just better than Tager right now, even if not by a large margin, hence all the 4.5 matchups. If Tager is + against Noel, it can't be by more than a .5 margin IMO.
-
Agreed, his tools (damage aside) are much, much better in the CS versions (specifically CS1). The thing to take away from the damage argument is that Tager needs a damage buff. I'm just happy he has decent matchups this time around. Not good, but not cringe worthy either. From a design standpoint (magnetism) Tager actually has alot of potential in future installments, even if I doubt mori will go there.
-
Personally, I think CS1 and CS2 Tager have the tools to play a clean solid game, the problem is in the matchups. There are certain matchups where Tager can't do shit. He's lacking certain tools to even compete. He doesn't really need to beat up on Ragna better, he needs some kind of full screen presence.

I think MikeZ meant that side by side CT Tager is stronger, but within their respective games CT Tager is by far the weakest. CT 5A was lvl 0, and had a +1 SD.
-
I think that's pretty much MikeZ's point. Tager's still pretty gimmicky even after all the changes, but at least in CT we got paid or landing them, and if you took out the broke Fab 5 his matchups weren't overly terribad. I still hold CS1 Tager is the best though. @Brice: It was worse than that in CT. V-13, Rachel, Jin, Carl, Arakune, and Tao all shit on Tager in that game. Even Noel had a slight advantage.
-
Do you remember 3C RC's from CT, 6k damage easy.
-
Osuna just went all debate team on yo ass' I will continue to cuss and sputter about wildly.
-
Yeah, Tager is worse, but in the context of the game (the other characters), he's better off. If you dropped CT Tager into CS2 he would be better than CS2 Tager is. But taking characters out of their game isn't really fair. Edit: personally, I think CS1 Tager was he best iteration so far.

Actually, Makoto is another matchup I don't really know, and now that she isn't ballz I need to. Also, People can say what they want, it's up to the individual to understand, disregard, or get salty. If a person quit BB because they thought they couldn't win with Tager, that's kinda their own problem. Most people just learn a sub or new main, or man up and make Tager work. You can't blame Osuna (or whoever) dissing Tager for people quitting BB, that's just not fair. Lastly, Prior to CS2, Tager could not win a tournament with decent players (assuming they didn't all play Noel), period. That's not exaggerating. In CS2 he's simply bad and not awful.

Speaking of which, if any of you want to body my Yang with Zang/THawk in SF4 hit me up. I'm free as fuck in that matchup right now. Message me on XBL, as my DL is kinda messed up atm.
-
Zangief AE changes: -EX green Hand no longer knocks down but is +1 on hit +Light SPD has fullscreen range.
-
Well Zagnief is really good. You have to footsie against grapplers in SF, and Zangief just happens to be a footsie god. Also, the 6A change was a nerf over all in my opinion. As bad as Jump Canceling the old 6A could be, it was the closest thing we had to being able to reset pressure. Edit: Also, Zangiefs oki can make even the best of players look like a scrub.
-
Grapplers piss off beginners by design, not because they are or aren't competent at grappling.

Emperor Palpatine on 'anger': "You want this, don't you? The hate is swelling in you now... Use it... Strike me down with it. Give in to your anger... It gives you focus, makes you stronger."
