  1. Good Luck. Try and get some vids if you can. I think we as Mu players could improve alot more if we shared more stuff. Keep the discussion going.
  2. Don't worry it's cool. I realized my first post was a little general. Its like I know my options, but I just don't feel like I'm using them effectively. People are getting in way to easy. Also, I hear you on the Ragna matchup. One little screw up and his damage output makes up for half a match of getting hit. Edit: I just watched your vid. You looked alot like me actually, failing to keep the other guy away. I just abuse 2B alot more (probably too much).
  3. You changed your name to Gil?

  4. @Aginor: As I play more I'm becoming aware that my usual aggression is misguided. I've got the oki down strong (put alot of time into that), I'm just pretty weak in the zoning game. If you have any general suggestions, I feel like I need some kind of direction with my zoning right now. (Note: While I may be primarily a net-player, I'm not a scrub). What do you do? more specifically then zone better? @Tempest: I've been doing this forever (ragna can do the same thing). If you land the cross-up you can Dash2B to follow up. Problem is, it's too slow to be a great mixup, but it's great for getting to the other side of the opponent and its a great escape route like you said. If you've been abusing frame traps and other anti mashing software, I'm always surprised at how long I can keep pressure going with stuff like that.
  5. Pretty much. Carl is a good matchup because alot of her projectiles ignore the puppet. People learned to play Hazama. He was still a brand new character at the time of that old list.
  6. Well, the big difference is that Mu doesn't have to commit to her projectiles. She can drop a rock and GTFO, which makes it very hard for Tager to catch her. Also, she has alot of Tager specific damage, oki, and pressure. Also, a DP. Plus jC is good. My take.
  7. I've been going over some of my matches, and I've noticed that my zoning and keep away is very lacking. I know about using stiens and jC, but I was wondering what tactics and setups the rest of you use so I can flesh out my very one dimensional zoning a bit better. Also, if you have any methods for approaching I would love to hear it. I'm finding my opponents are getting overly used to my tricks and need to add more tools to my box to keep them thinking.
  8. I thought that was a false story (could be wrong). I remember he played in the early days of CT too and then dropped off the face of the earth.
  9. Okay, I'll keep working on it then. Also, Pulsr's setups (like so many of Mu's tricks) requires good timing, and can go to hell online... It most definitely works on most the cast though. That said, I prefer other set-ups because I like the mixup opportunities, and most people know better than to tech-roll on Mu's oki anyways.
  10. I have just played with this in training mode, and it is easier against some of the cast then others, and it does set-up a decent mixup. However, thanks to Aginor's post, I have isolated a mistake I've been making with the old j2C set-up, and I'm thinking that Pulsr's setup is superior overall, if only because it's more stable (like Aginor said). I might still be making mistakes (just tried it now-ish) so feel free to tell me what I could b doing wrong.
  11. ^^^The above isn't necessarily true. Regardless, combos are what they are. Break it down, and go one step at a time till you get it.
  12. Japanese people have a choice.
  13. Off the top of my head: Ragna: Kaqn Jin: Ren Bang: Satoshi Lambda: Goro, Minori Tager: Akira, Galileo Noel: R-1 Arakune: Souji, Fumo, Hima Hazama: Buppa, Zakiyama Carl: Dio
  14. Congrats on the promotion. You now officially outrank most of the idiots on this site.

  15. Check it out. I've got the whole Mu forum calling her laser super Gallic Gun after you blurted it out during the stream a month ago. My power level is rising!

  16. I'll try it then. Like I said before the odds of actually getting a 4 stein Gallic are very low, unless you're trying for it. Also, since this is combo discussion, I've been experimenting with linking gallic off of laser hits. It works, I'm just working setting up the hitconfirms before I post anything more concrete.
  17. Oh, yeah that could work, but to follow up after a 4 stein Gallic Gun you need very specific stien placement, and just having 4 steins out is pretty rare as you should use them to get in and be generally annoying. The 4 stein combos seem like combo movie fluff to me.
  18. Spending 50 heat to put the opponent in a tiny bit of guard stun to either place a few stiens or attempt a fairly crummy mixup seems pretty inefficient. Especially if your goal is to try to force a hit with meter, you could just use RC's. And no, stiens placed during Gallic Gun are not part of the chaos.
  19. Don't give me too much credit, you'll just wind up disappointed. Also, I didn't think of this earlier, but if you do the Gallic Gun super you can follow up into another set-up to continue oki pressure, whereas you're options after Omohikane are weaker. In short: Gallic Gun(632146D): low (potentially high) damage, and potentially keep momentum (depending on a few things) Hype Super (Omohikane): Damage... lots of damage. RC: Rapid Cancels are amazing, not enough players abuse them. It's especially good since Mu gains decent heat from blocked lasers.
  20. Always do 6C>6D>Distortion. You should always be able to follow up with 6B or at least another 6C into oki unless you have a bunch of other stiens. On the whole I wouldn't use 632146D unless it's gonna kill your opponent. Omohikane is a much better super, and Rapid cancels are very useful.
  21. Why don't we at least wait for revised list to be posted before we start giving our hair-brained opinions about it?
  22. Umm... Air unblockable ~= Anti-air. The new air unblockables keep people from mindlessly jumping out of things they should be forced to block (hopefully), they don't really impact a characters AA's, especially since pretty much all of them are already Air unblockable. Should have no effect on jins ability to do (and fake) cross-ups, and his ability to JC moves is equally risky.
  23. Awe... oh well then. I'll have to keep plugging away online to get experience. Realized I have never fought a Tao (with Mu) the other day, it was pretty sad.

  24. Thanks, I still get 3C'd left and right though. I've got a capture card and a youtube channel now too: http://www.youtube.com/user/jhvidst2?feature=mhum If you ever want something uploaded let me know.

  25. Yeah, all player matches though. What's up?
