  1. How well you can rush Mu down depends alot on the character. For many of characters not playing patiently is akin to impaling yourself on one of her C pokes. It's not so much patience = victory, but that plan B is death.
  2. You can do a wonky frame trap thing too that's kind similar to that (you reminded me of it), j2C(hit)>4[D]>j66>j236A. It's not that good from a frames standpoint but it looks really screwy, and people will try to poke when they can't. Also, tic's after j236A seem to work really well.
  3. Actually, i'm probably gonna play my match vs Team kune tonight? Wanna group up and troll squigglies?
  4. Here's a few places I use it - In the corner after ending with j2C. ...>j2C>4[D]>j44>236A. It loses to quick forward rolls, but they can't jump out and forces a block on all other techs, which in turn sets up mixup. -xD>xD>236A. If you know they like trying to air dash over your steins this will keep them out.
  5. He was decent to be sure, but he relied alot on just being weird. That stuff only works until people adapt. Carls cross-up sucks to block. I play alot with Kyle and I eat it constantly. It gets worse when they start faking it... :vbang: I really need more practice in that matchup with Mu. Alot of my weaknesses with the character come from lack of matchup experience. I make rooms pretty frequently, so if you're signed into your profile you should get an invite. Shervin's welcome to. I'll also start uploading games, though mostly vs me because I can save those. (I'd need to play in Standard def to have the record going while others were playing).

  6. I got a Pinnacle Systems Dazzle DVC100. It only records at standard definition resolution, but it works great, and even works on OSX so I don't need to use fusion. You can pick one up on Ebay refurbished for $30 (that's what I did). If you need or want something uploaded let me know and I can try to grab it. I'll also probably be uploading games from my rooms when I can (mostly vs me so I don't have to switch my Xbox to standard Def). Who knows, maybe I'll get lucky and record one with me actually beating your Makoto for once.

  7. You should get online more often. I need matchup experience with Mu, and good Haku's are hard to come by now that he can stab people. @what Cake said: Dark Obliske is the type of player that gives XBL a bad rap.

  8. What Tager specifics were you talking about? I know about the OTG 6A, but that didn't really come up.
  9. Yeah, first time I've had it used against me. Mu's backdash isn't such a free out if the Tager knows it. I was doing fine in the Tager mirror (I' good at them too) until your 6B>720. I've never seen that trap, but it seems pretty good. My favorite is still jumping in after AC into the corner, Tager has so many options in that situation. I got you with an empty jump IIRC. Yeah, XBL gets a bad rap because we fuck around alot, and we have lots of scrubs, and scrubs masquerading as decent players. Like that Haku today. I would have beat him but MTW to crush burst turned into Bsledge into the burst.

  10. Get a capture Card. I might be able to help if you can upload one to the leader-boards. PM me if you have one. Yeah, I was being scrubby/stupid/bad during the Omni match, but you learn more from defeat than victory. The wiffs are a case in point. Thanks for the input Aginor/Pulsr. Do you think that the setup is always superior to the Super in that situation (barring killing the opponent)? Edit: I just checked the date on the Omni match, it's reeeaaalllllly old, which would explain alot of the blatant stupidity.
  11. This thread is so you can ask for critique from other Mu players. Other character forums have this and it's about time Mu-12 got one. I hope this will help Mu players develop better and faster and help us share information as we don't have any japanese heroes to mimic. Pleas try to be constructive, don't just troll each other please. I'll go first: FlyingVe vs Heroic_Legacy FlyingVe vs OmniScythe I am very aware I dropped alot of combos and got hit by silly stuff in the OmniScythe match. Any thoughts, suggestions, and comments are welcome and appreciated. Edit: If you play on XBL, I might be able to upload a replay for you. PM me is your interested.
  12. You asked and you shall receive: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofHtmp85Bxs Heroic was definitely not at his best, but this is pretty much how the matchup plays out. You will notice the emphasis on patience by both players, and you will also notice how Mu can not keep Tager out indefinitely. Basically, we both played the matchup how it should be played, but Mu has a distinct advantage.
  13. This is a little old, but I though I'd let you know: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=niZacTKIcis Trying out my capture card. Thought I'd give your beast makoto some publicity.

  14. GG's today man. XBL isn't as free as it looks :). It was fun to play a solid Tager and not just a gimmicky one. You should hit up XBl more often. Also: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofHtmp85Bxs I was gonna upload our Tager mirror too, but I was a dipshit and forgot to save it.

  15. You asked me to give you suggestions on the stream last night, so I figured I'd do a little write-up for you. (PS- if I sound like I'm being a jerk, I don't mean it that way). -Guess work. Guessing is a bad habit lots of people get into, especially given how juicy Mu's 6C and Tagers 720C are. But with moves like that, guessing wrong get's you hurt... badly. If winning matches relies on either the opponent screwing up or you getting lucky, then there's nothing to improve on. you are gambling, instead of playing solid. -Don't abuse 5C>5D>Bsledge with Tager. It sucks. -Learn your Mu combos and oki. Your zoning with Mu was actually really good, but you didn't make much of the hits you got. Learn how to turn every hit into either damage or oki if you can. -Use your AA's and DP's. They aren't full proof but you have to make your opponent respect them.

  16. I need to write this on a bat and smack myself in the face with it every time I fail. It's so easy to get greedy with Mu and have the whole match go to shit as a result.
  17. Yep it was good fun. I do usually play better than that though. I got some better players in the room later and it got more serious. Mu is a bitch online though... Totally hype the hell out of the stream anytime (though I wouldn't blame you if you had to go play IRL). The more interest stuff like that gets, the better it is for the community.

  18. Yeah, that's pretty much the matchup. But still, I think alot of players don't realize how much recovery the steins have, it' very easy to dash in and get in Mu's face when she's trying to "zone". I've had kyle use carls amazing air-dash to FC jB me from a ludicrous distance away when I'm setting a stein. Still, I need to practice it more, I play to many Rachel's and that shit is super free with Mu.

  19. It's all good. You'll have to do better than that to get to me. It was actually nice having you on the stream, after you left the chat just kinda died...

  20. It's done now. But there was a line... a long one.

  21. There's no trick as far as I know. Mid-screen the double BE is super strict on Mu-12 silly hitbox (like 1 frame link strict), but it's totally doable in the corner.
  22. Also, I've got a (repaired) capture card on the way, so I'll be trying to upload good matches from my rooms in the future.

  23. Sure thing man, I'll try to invite you more often. I make a point of only inviting cool and/or good people to my rooms, and really try to keep the D-bags out. Your carl improved a heck of alot from the last time I played you in CT. I need some help with the Carl matchup with Mu, so I would love to play you again. That matchup is supposed to be free for me, but I'm just missing the experience to make it so. Personally, I only think it's 6-4 because once Carl does get in, well, it sucks for me... And I just don't think I can keep him out forever with Mu-12. She isn't Nu-13 after all.

  24. I dunno actually, I'll test it and check. It loses to everything that usually beats 236D, so DPs, Guard Points (weak answer), Counters, and low profile moves (Noel/Makoto 3C, etc...). In these situations I think Aginor's setup is superior from a strictly frame-data standpoint, however, this one is very confusing and offers different mixup options, and the more options the opponent is worried about (between different oki setups) the better. Also, you are right, it's mad sexy.
  25. Near the corner: 3C>2B>5C>6C>5D>jB>jC>j2C>j5D>j2D>236D>(land)>5D>(JC)>... From there you can do whatever, jC, j2C, empty jump, jC>6B, tick throw, SoD or whatever. As with any 236D setup is has trouble with IB>DP but the stiens are clustered really closely so it keeps people pinned better than the midscreen 6C>5D>6D>236D setup.
