  1. So after seeing Rei do j.C>j.D today, I checked it out in training... j.C CH>j.D>2B>whatever j.4C CH>dj.D>2A>whatever Kinda gimmicky but looks awesome.
  2. Triple post, but I was testing out some newish combos more thoroughly... 2D>j.D>2B>623B>d.6C>j.B>j.C 3295 damage for Rachel/Tao/Noel/Bang since d.6C>623B doesn't work on them. j.D>2B>623B>d.2B>623B>d.6C>j.C 3715 damage as an alternative to the triple crash that works on Rachel/Tao/Noel/Bang 623B CH>d.2B>623B>d.6C>j.B>j.C 3292 damage, same deal as the others. I should really start using 623B to punish things more when it's guaranteed...
  3. Dear god, the air to air in this matchup is dumb.
  4. Made an Astral Heat vid while bored the other day, hope you enjoy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0NGGpFPyr8
  5. Something for characters that aren't hit by d.6C>623B 2D>j.D>2B>623B>d.6C>j.B>j.C 3295 damage and they can't air tech. Found it on Noel in training, will have to test some other chas.
  6. I just love the 623B Counter Hits...they give you all the time in the world.
  7. My new Inferno Divider punishes: The one in that combo vid: 623B CH>d.6C>j.D>6A>623B>daifunka 5649 damage, 50 heat I was fooling around in training, looking for a good no heat version and found this flashy gem: 623B CH>d.6C>j.D>6A>623B>d.6C>623B>2C 4448 damage, no heat. You can punish Jin for his B or C dp on block with 623B>d.2B>623B>daifunka for 5106 damage, 50 heat. or with with 623B>d.2B>623B>d.6C>623B>2C for 3584 damage, no heat.
  8. Assault Through can be punished with 5D, 2D, Grab, and Command Grab. Command Grab is the flashiest and thus my favorite, 2D on reaction is the easiest.
  9. A nails, A nails, A nails. She airdashes in spamming j.A? A nail her. You want to move in? IAD A nail her. She's spamming drive? A nail her and follow it up with a combo if she's surprised or pressure if she blocks in time. As for drives, 5D is actually very good in this fight.
  10. Was practicing the triple crash combo and I realized the second 2B doesn't need to be d.2B, you can hold right and after you take a little step, do the 2B. It works more dependably for me. So...j.D(CH or on airborne enemy)>2B>623B>w.2B>623B>d.6C>623B>2C lol w. for walk.
  11. Sick play, WUT. I didn't know the j.D>triple crash combo worked on Jin. Does it work on everyone but Carl? Also, lol at FRKZ shenanigans.
  12. That was definitely one of my top 10 WTF moments in this game.
  13. I really like teleporting.
  14. Don't use D nails as an air to air, that's what A nails are for.
  15. Probably isn't anything most of you don't already know, but I felt like making this vid for the general public whom I never see OTG combo from 3C. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9m1LIcU4hAQ
  16. Make sure the 2369C is timed such that you don't throw the nail from too far off the ground if you're having trouble hitting with it. As for why it isn't in the combo thread...it has a purple tech throw, so it isn't a combo.
  17. I did the most insane thing ever to finish aforementioned Nu yesterday, since we play alot now and we know all of each others tricks (except for this one). Daifunka through a safe sword into blocking Nu, rapid cancel into 6D which autoguarded her counter assault and punished for the win. Blew some minds. Killeykun was a witness.
  18. j.D>2369C>6C>j.D>6A>623B>d.6C>623B>2C 4176 damage on Ragna/Hakumen. Can't get the 2C to land on Tager but it still does 3921 on him for only one nail. It does 5210 if you daifunka instead of d.6C. j.D doesn't have to be CH. If only Bang could combo everyone like he can combo cat1s...
  19. For 5D, I just do what Dora does. 5D>j.B>623B>5A>5B>j.A>j.B>623B It also works nicely on smaller characters, which can be a headache for the 5B>2B in the other combo. I should probably work on the 5D>j.D stuff on some characters though. On a semi related note, been messing around trying to find a better bnb for Rachel but the only thing that consistently works and still sets up oki is 5A/2A>5B>2B>623B>d.2A>5B>j.A>j.C which only does 100 more than the standard bnb....ah well, at least it looks cool. I feel like 5A>5B>2B>623B>d.5B>2B>j.B>j.C is the most practical bnb for crouching cat1/cat2 characters and for Tao/Noel/Jin/Bang. It does 19 less than the sj.A>sj.B>sj.C finisher but it doesn't let them air tech and I'll gladly pay 19 damage for oki any day.
  20. They have tons of time to react with normal j.4C, usually by jumping out. If they do that, air command throw them.
  21. One of the funniest rounds I've ever played: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0gf6g5I8Hw
  22. 6D is amazing in this fight purely for its ability to get you out of the corner when she tries to tech trap with the staff.
  23. Make your nail resets count to keep him guessing. 5C>6B hits a ton more than it should, especially if they're used to you doing 5C>2C or something like that. Remember that if he blocks your first 5A and he's just sitting there with BB up you can dash command throw so he learns to respect your nail reset.
  24. You can also umbrella the teleport if you predict it.
