  1. I actually *never* played the first one...I wonder if this will be online?
  2. Okay so, what's the current Roster again (someone might want to edit the first post or something)? Stages included if possible.
  3. Page 11 of GGR: http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2010/260/e/9/ggr__2175_by_darkside_ky-d2yy48e.jpg I might do an Aftermath writeup, but it's gonna be a while for the next one, since I wanna get a clear translation of Night of Knives done.
  4. Yeah so, in case anyone didn't know, everybody's getting P3 costumes, known so far: Cloud: his KH outfit (I guess you need a code from Birth By Sleep or something) Lightning: an Aya Brea outfit (from Parasite Eve) And some other outfits are getting touchups too I guess.
  5. Cid is the dude with the black hair who became a l'Cie and fought you, crystalized, then Barthandelus resurrected him under his control, then made him the head of Coccoon I guess, but when the rebels fought their way past his security, he willingly let them shoot him in the head, as he'd rather die than follow Fal'Cie.
  6. Well, there's always Bang: THIS IS AN UKEMI.
  7. Barthandelus was only interesting when you fought him as a giant face boss with "Fighting Against Fate" playing, otherwise his character design...ugh...Seymour and Palamecia are better designed. He's the guy who killed his sexy secretary before she could have a plot point...UNFORGIVABLE!! To be honest I think Noctis has a better chance for a slot at this point, since they've had a year to develop him. So basically: *star by confirmed slot from previous FFs FFI *Warrior of Light (Red Mage?/Monk?/other jobs?) VS *Garland (4 Fiends?/Chronodia?/Chaos?/Warmech?) FFII *Firion (Maria?) VS *Emperor (Leonhart?) FFIII *Onion Knight (other Onion Knights?) VS *Dark Cloud (enemy partner?) FFIV *Cecil (*Kain) VS *Golbez (Zeromus?/Enemy from After Years?) FFV *Bartz (Faris?/Krile?/Galuf?/Lenna?) VS *Exdeath (Gilgamesh???) FFVI *Terra (Locke?/Shadow?/Celes?) VS *Kefka (General Leo?/3 Goddesses?) FFVII *Cloud (Tifa?/Zack?) VS *Sephiroth (Shinra?/Genesis?) FFVIII *Squall (Rinoa?) VS *Ultimecia (Seifer?) FFIX *Zidane (Vivi?) VS *Kuja (Black Waltz?) FFX *Tidus (Yuna?) VS *Jecht (Seymour?) FFIX *Shantotto (partner?) VS Eald Narche? (enemy partner?) FFXII Balthier? (Vaan?) VS *Judge Gabranth (enemy partner?) FFXIII *Lightning (Snow?) VS Noctis? (enemy partner?) This all assumes everyone has a partner slot...
  8. Haha, that's funny. I actually hate it when the announcer says stuff you fail at. TECH HIT (you failed to throw them) COUNTER (you got hit instead of them) THROW REJECT MISS (goddam inputs...) YOU LOSE (FAIL.) Actually, they should just say "screw it" and make Deadpool the announcer.
  9. That's a somewhat difficult question to answer. I guess you could say that so long as the Masterghost "their soul" exists, they can fight. If the "Master" is K.O.'d the Masterghost takes a huge hit in HP, but its barrier will still remain. No matter how many times the Master is defeated, the Masterghost will still function, so in a way it is their spiritual base, however Capture Units can easily capture other Ghosts "or spiritual bases" as an extension of the Masterghost's power, this in turn can restore the Master's HP, Tension, and the HP of his Servants. However, Capture Units are incredibly weak by comparison. So in a way they act as a "heartbeat". So long as another Masterghost and Master exists, they cannot capture the entire field, even if the Masters do nothing, as the Capture Units will basically destroy eachother on contact. This is somewhat like how the "ego" works, as long as there is a field of influence (or a desire to win/fight at least), the capture Units would keep pumping themselves out of the Master Ghost. Lastly you have the Master and Servants and Mobile Minion. The Master serves as the central "active" extension of the Masterghost, meanwhile his Servants are to some extent representatives of his personality in various capacities based on need and adaptivity. But because they are more active than Capture Units, they require Mana to be summoned, Mana is generated by destroying other units and capturing Ghosts. This is also why destroying a Servant won't hurt the Masterghost or Master directly. Lastly, you have Mobile Minions, they are similar in Function to a Servant, but require Tension, not Mana to summon. One other thing, only Servants and Mobile Minions can destroy a Masterghost's barrier, but they cannot actually "kill" the Masterghost, since they are Mana and Tension manifestations, the Master himself has to land the killing blow. A Master can wail on a Masterghost's barrier for a long period of time and do chip damage, but only Tension Attacks would actually do damage. Something else worth noting: Sol: Uses Soul Sinker System Valentine: Uses Soul Sinker + Vizuel (Vizuel are a type of Youkai existence generated from Valentine's 'intent' created in the Backyard) Izuna: Has his Youkai friends help him. Paradigm: Has his Gear friends help him. Sin + Ky: Uses soldiers of Illuriya Kingdom's Army. Sin can still summon a Mobile Minion, however. Raven: Uses Soul Sinker via Valentine's servants. I'm not entirely sure if Soul Sinker has anything to do with Gear Sublimation, but it may seem that way, as Sin and Sol were unable to move at first, and would have been sublimated if Izuna had not intervened.
  10. Someone has INKING skills. :O
  11. I'm curious what you think guys....with the new Devil May Cry trailer having come out...basically rebooting the series...are we gonna have a LOL PARADOX here?
  12. Doesn't have to be right now, just, when you finish getting around to it. :) Take your time.

  13. That might be pushing it, even if Stan Lee wrote it, Marvel didn't endorse it, I don't think.
  14. If you ever hobble together a translation of Phase 0 into a .txt file format, I'll upload it to http://gearproject.onehitcombo.net/Blaz_Blue/

  15. I was reading your old posts, I hope you don't mind, but I have a question: Where does it say Ragna has a split or dual personality?

  16. Classification doesn't necessarily mean "stronger", it just means that they have a higher hierarchy. Sin was able to deflect Valentine's Gamma Ray due to his powers, so he could actually be as strong as a Command Type, even if he's only half or quarter Gear. Sol is a unique case as he's the only known Gear to resist a Command Class Gear's Song, Gears and Yokai succumb to it, only Testament has some level of resistance to it, but he succumbed as well. But other than that, his strength without the Fireseal isn't enough to beat Justice. This might have changed after his encounter with Izuna, however.
  17. In case anyone didn't notice in the scans...Orphan's Cradle will be a new battle stage (FFXIII). I hope there's some kind of Tag Team System, not just assists...
  18. Info Post: Reiterating the Types of Gears Thus Far (according to Rank): "Prototype Class" (Sol Only, since he can resist Gear Song influence) Command Class (Justice, Solaria, Dizzy, Valentine to some extent) "Humanoid Class" (not really a class per se, but Human Host Gears are up there in the rank, Testament and Sin are known examples) Megadeth Class (Extremely Deadly, large, and powerful, Hydra is an example) Flying Class (this can apply to many classes, even ones without wings that rely on magic chords to fly, but appears to apply to larger ones in particular, Dr. Paradigm is a smaller example) Large Class (also applies to many classes) Toxic Class (applies to many classes in various cases, T-Class Gears emit toxic poisons, similar to fungus spores or snake venom, The Sacred Order has created serum to prevent life loss in some cases) Regular Class (applies to remaining footmen Gear types...Dr. P's little friends fall under this category, also there seem to be fairy type Gears as well, really tiny) Hope that helps for any fiction writers.

  20. I need some advice from fellow pad users. I recently got a brand new PS2 Dualshock 2 Controller, but the UP button on the pad is a little "dull". In other words, I can't tap it to jump, I just about have to hold UP for it to register. In GG, jumping diagonally doesn't seem to be a problem, but jumping straight UP takes more effort than it should...is there any way to break this pad in? I prefer the precision of the PSP pads (Slim Pad), but this seems to take time to fix.
  21. Yeah um there's a reason you're on my ignore list.

  22. I "respect" your scrub opinion. 6+R mang.

  23. Read more comic books, Hecatom. That'd be my advice. House of M, is a good start.
  24. Honestly I think we need a professional scrub opinion on the current changes. And despite what you may think, I am not qualified. I don't consider any moves to be cheap...I just lament when they are taken out for any one character.
  25. I think I'd like to see more Avengers this time around...like Vision or that one Blackhawk archer dude (I forget his name). Or maybe Ms. Mahvel, she's hawt (Rogue stole her powers anyway).
