  1. Question: The first pages list states on crouching opponents to use 5b, 2b, 623b etc. But I see a lot of 5b, 2b, 2c, 6d stuff. Is one better then the other? Thanks.
  2. I couldn't agree more with Ryoko on his point against Nu. The mental edge in that matchup goes to hakumen when you have 3 magatama less then 15 seconds into the round. Great post.

  4. I agree with Ryoko, not the part about arguing with miso lol, but about the uses of Mugen. Honestly, it's already hard as hell to manage magatama correctly, I can't see a reason to burn 8 to activate Mugen when you can spend 4, probably get bursted on anyway, but atleast you keep 4. I'm not gonna lie...I really, really wish there was a legitimate setup for Mugen...that shit is so cool, but hey...we gotta work with what we got :/.

One more question, if it's early in the round and i'm trying to hit my 623a-a bnb's for star building, if i'm up close poking with 2a and 2b, if 2b hits, should I not go for renka and just save the orbs?   15. Yeah, that taking damage sometimes works to get out, but it's hella situational as to cloud positioning, screen position and where kune is. Kune's 5c is a really solid anti-air as well.
  16. I've played against kune pretty frequently, this shit is hella bad for hakumen . The most luck i've had is kind of similar to Nu, get a lead, and run. If your good enough at eliminating clouds WHILE avoiding aerial d bugs, you can keep the lead for quite a while, 2c-ing them when they get impatient and IAD at you. That's all i've really got, we need to really pull together as Hakumen players and figure this out ASAP.
  17. Sorry Torn, didn't see you play because I was upstairs . Watch a lot of Goryus and X copy his strats, his zoning is ridiculous. Make sure your always looking to 2c for anti-air, start TK'ing 214d for solid overhead, practice doing 5dd, jump cancel 2dd for safer strings and variation then doing just 5dd 4dd.

Honestly this match doesn't seem that bad for ragna, you just have to stay disciplined. 5b is a monster in this match, just don't get overzealous with your blockstrings because of the backdash threat. It takes a lot more for ragna to win this fight then it does tager, so you should be playing it that way, smart and safe.

  21. Does anyone else get like, weird inconsistencies with TK gauntlet hades? Such as 50% of the time hitting crouching Nu, and then sometimes just whiffing completely . I don't think i'm mis-timing my inputs, and I know it's tk'ed for sure. Might just be me.
  22. Hmmm I don't know man, Noel gets consistent damage, but it's nowhere near what Haku gets, I don't know about 6/4 on that one, maybe though.
  23. Come on y'all, lets be a bit more constructive, your proving the stereotype that ragna players are....well..you know lol. I play against Noel pretty frequently, and i'm not going to lie, the fight is fucking hard. And yes, Noel's drive moves do have invincibility, but it depends on the drive, as some have upper or lower body invinicibility. Basically, there are a few points during her pressure you need to watch for to escape. Optic Barrel: IF a drive string is cancelled to optic barrel, depending on distance, you can either straight run past that shit, or try and hells fang through it, which will be a counter hit. Risky, but it takes away Noel's only true safe way of ending her drive chains. BAIT THAT 6A. Seriously, this bitch's antiair is so stupid good, only choice is to bait it since you will eventually be forced into the air at some point, which is fine, because your j.c is awesome. You absolutely have to be wary of this move at all times. Work on spotting Noel's 2d during the startup frames. I am so serious with this one. THis move is a overhead that jumps over lows, and will really ruin ragna's stuff. If you can spot it's startup animation, you can either uppercut on reaction, or i've even been able to 6a. Punish 3c. Man this move is so terrible without RC. Ragna gets 5c punishment combos all day long. Also if your spacing is correct, 2b will actually stuff it. THis matchup is all about ragna being able to interrupt noel and turn the momentum to his favor. If you let her just continuously run you down, ragna just doesn't have the tools to pull it out. Be patient, use your range and pokes intelligently, uppercut the false gaps and drives with slow startup, and get knockdowns. Noel can't really do anything if ragna is constantly pushing her to the corner, so recognize when to keep the pressure going, but keep it safe at the same time. Hope that helped.
