  1. 720 gets stuffed by d.6C d.5B d.4D in my experience. At best with that you'll get a d.2D flash kick combo out of it unless you rapid the d.5B and do a raw 4D. But if you're going to rapid cancel the d.5B you are probably going to jump instead of just doing another move, and if you're going to jump, you can probably buffer in a j.4D to get a FC during 720 super flash (although j.4d is trashy slow) or you could RC the d.2D/d.4D into haida loop instead.
  2. I absolutely hate that "720 super flash and you can see me mid 2D but he grabs me anyway because it was before frame 5" nonsense my local Tager does all the time.
  3. I've found quite a few gimmick tech traps but the only problem is that they only really work if they're mashing. Granted if they are mashing tech, they work quite well, otherwise they put ou at a massive disadvantage that a good player will capitalise on.

  5. yeah the 4.1k combo works on all characters. Simply it's just 3C 22BBC 66C 5D 6B 5D 5C jc jD d6D 236D. just be careful with the 22BBC as the extra B makes the dash timing seem weird.

(Transitions to corner) 3C 22BC 66C 22B 6D d.6B d.5D d.5C jc j.D d.6D d.5B 236D for 4399. does 4.2 without the d.5B, does 4k from just a straight dash 66C 5D into the combo. 3C 22BBC 66C 5D d.6B d.5D d.5C jc j.D d.6D 236D does about 4.1k

Actually, I think some of Mizzet's 623D 66C link combos aren't 100% optimized for damage but more for stability. ie 3C 22BC 66C 2D 623D 66C jc j.D 6D d.6B d.5C d.5D 236D does 4.4 which is more than his varient, and I was playing around with d.5D in combos and I found one 3C combo that doesn't have a 623D 66C link but still gives 4.4k. I'll post some vids of them later.
  9. Hmm, I guess so. Never thought of mid drive 5D being different to starter 5D tbh. I might play around with that a little bit then.

As for CH 5C you're better off just doing CH 5C 5D 6A 6C 5C 2147A 2B 6C jc j.D 6D 236D for about 3K if you feel safe with drives or CH5C 3C haida loop combos if you can do those for about 4k+ Also Mizzet, wouldn't it do more damage if you cut the second 5D and 623D and instead just did 5C 6B 236D? you don't lose 65% proration for the last part that way.
  11. It beats, 2c 3c 6c and gravity. i was thinking more along the lines of parsar B or C or if you could throw. I think it also catches back dash.
  12. <- said local noel. Yes it does change trajectory/direction if you try to cross up. But depending on when you do it you might be able to dash out of range of it since it comes out pretty slow and loses most of its momentum. If it's done on reaction to an AA, I think you can only block it but Lambda's dashes are godly so it might work. Careful with your 5C spam as IB 5D beats every(?) single option you can throw out afterward, and CH 5D spaces perfectly for haida loop so your hit box isn't going to save you from a 4.6k followup (5.7 if it goes to corner.)

  16. Really? i would have thought that CH 5D 2D wouldn't do as much damage as a Haida loop.
  17. I'm assuming he means Mizzet's d.6C crouching hit into 2D reset shenanigans. You have to delay the 2D. Also on a side note, did anyone else notice that CH 5D's Untechable time is long enough to reload guns and dash 3C someone? I'm finding it far easier to Haida loop small hitboxes like Tsubaki with this since it spaces the 3C perfectly for me. Just make sure you don't use 5D again in the combo or you go from 4.3k potential to 3.4k. I'm going to test what sort of combo's I can get with this since I find it easier to Haida loop than 623D link 66C 236A. (though that means I'll probably end up saying that you do something crazy like 2 rep haida 66C 4D d.6C 623D link or something crazy like that.)

Yeah basically it just enables fenrir without having to blow another 50 heat on a rapid. also it's not really character specific. yes smaller hit boxes mean you have to be much closer, but it works in the same way. In fact doing it this way is far more natural to get the d.5B on Lambda then if you were already in the corner(where you have to delay the d.5B)
  19. normal drive juggle. Basically if you start a drive juggle with 3C from about 3/4 (maybe more) screen from corner - 66C 5D d.6b d.5B d.5C hits at the very tip and you can IAD and get a j.D into 6D for a corner combo. easiest way to show you exactly what I mean is to have Jin as an opponent in training mode, jump over so you're on the other side when you start (ie if you start 1P side, jump over so you're on the 2P side) and do a 4 loop Haida into 5D drive combo - 3C 22BC [66C 22B 22BC]x3 66C 5D d.6B d.5B d.5C IAD j.D 6D 236D Fenrir. You basically just add about half a screen of range onto any potential drive juggle towards a corner. It only works if they will go to a corner though, other wise the d.5C will whiff.   20. I'm still not seeing people using d.6b d.5b d.5c IAD j.D 6D to force corner situations when they're at half screen. It's not that hard to do but still I don't see any vids of people doing it. I mean I can start 1P side in training mode jump over Jin and Haida Loop him all the way to the 1P corner with this. It's like the difference between 4.3k and 5.8k

Well if you're feeling ballsy, you can jump at him and barrier block his j.C, land and then drive install a spring raid to try catch him going for another j.C You can try time his jumps so that you can get a 663C to connect on him just as he's landing which would go underneath his j.C You could 6C at range and hope that your 2nd shot actually hits him in the air. You could try drive install an assault through and hope you get an aerial CH into combo. This is noel we're talking about, you need to start thinking up the riskiest situations possible since our normals are utter trash.
  23. Against Lambda in corner, you have to delay the d.5B a bit after the d.6B. Of course if you're just outside of the corner and d.5C will reach after a d.5B, you can also super jump cancel the d.5C and still combo. I actually do this quite a lot when the combo only just won't take them to the corner with d.6B d.5C jc j.D 6D 236D (and I actually want to DD in corner rather than have it whiff.) You can force a corner combo from far further away than you'd think. (Like 1/3 screen I think).
  24. The spinny gun (aka d.6C) is safe. Noel can just d.6C d.5A which has no hole and then completely mess your reversal timing and go for 4D fatal when your mashed Corona turns into a mashed 3C/2C. or if she's feeling spiffy, use d.5B to push you out of corona range, reset drive and then just CH you on the way down. That is however, if the noel actually knows their drive strings. 99.9999999% of online noel does not. Try to corona her after she does any drive other than d.5B as there are holes in almost everything other than d.6C. even if she does Assault through as a follow up, I think that the corona will take you out of range and you'd both recover fairly similar times.
  25. Fatty corner combo - 3C 22BC (6C 22B)xN 66C 4D 236D 6C 5D 6B 5B 5C jc jD 6D 236D Max is 4 loops, 3 if you want to fenrir. You can also put a 22B 66C between the 236D 6C and the 5D 6B if the character you're doing the loop on is too small to do all the loops in the first part.. 4 loops Does 4.8k raw, 5684 with Fenrir version. Non fenrir version generates 64 heat, Fenrir version generates 60 heat. You can also kinda do this mid screen with 5 loops max into 5D 6B 5C jc jD 6D 236D. but still it's a funny combo to land. Small character's it's hard to space but the 22b 66C works on tager,Rachel, tao, ragna, jin, caruru, Arakune so far - still testing Also on a trolling point of view, 3C 22BC 66C 22B 6C 22B 66C 22B 6C 22B 66C 22B 66C 5D 6B 5C jc jD 214214C works from 55 Starting Heat and only just doesn't do enough damage to kill Tager before the astral comes out.
