  1. I'm attaching vids to some of these now - currently have some Jin ones done.
  2. Do you have a camera phone that you can upload vids to computer? Not exactly pretty, but as long as we get the gist f what's happening, that should be enough to help you.
  3. I can possibly do short vids (like they have for the Nu combo thread) that shows the combo's, but I don't have a capture card and I'd be recording with a digital camera, not a camcorder... So don't expect the best quality.
  4. Depends on which one, 22BC means you press 22 then B then C, Where as 22B 22C means you press 22 then B, then press 22 again, then C 22B~C for me means that you press 22B slight pause C.
  5. As great as our Noel guide is, it only briefly touches on the Haida-Loop (22C loop) and doesn't have character specific combo's. So I thought I'd just create a list of Combos. This guide isn't to teach you how to play, that's what the beginner guide is for. So if you don't understand what's going on here, I advise you check out the beginner's guide first. I'll update this list with more Character specific combos (not just Haida) periodically. (Note: Click links for vids!) (Note 2: The number of asterisks before the combo is the difficulty. 1 being easy, 10 being insane.) (Note 3: all damages are APPROXIMATE UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED) Now the Haida-loop in its base form, is *3C 22C 6C 22C 66C 22C 66C 22C 66C jc jC(3) 236C (~4.5k) Some characters, like Jin, it's best if you try to hit them low, and delay the moves a bit(although if you do another 22C instantly after the 4th one, you can hit him high, dash in with 66C and complete a 5k combo), but for characters like Tager/Bang, you want to do it asap. Ragna is kinda a mix in that the first part you want to do low, but after the 3rd 22C you want to do the 4th one immediately, and then sjc into jB jc jB jC(3) j236C Then for the small characters (Nu/Carl) you might need to alter it. Nu's is *****3C 22C 66C(B+C) 6C 22C 66C(B+C) 6C 22C 66C jc jB jC(2) j236C Haida doesn't seem to work on Carl, So instead do *3C 22BC 66C 5D 28D 66C jc jC(3) jB jc jB jC(3) j236C. (~3.5k) Now that the standard Haida is out of the way, now comes for the Character Specific versions. ------------------RACHEL-------------------------------- Corner - ****3C, 22BC x4, 66C, 5D, 5B, 6B, 5C, 236D, 6C, 2367C (~6.1k) or ******3C, 22BC x5, 66, 236236D, 6C, 2367C. (does more damage and is unburstable for most part, but uses 50% heat and is significantly harder to do.) (~7k) Midscreen - *****3C, 22BC x2, 66C, 22B, 22C, 66C, 22C, 66C, 22C, 66C, jC(3), 236C (~5k) or ****3C, 22BC x2, 66C, 5D, (6B 5C) x 2, 236D, (~4.2k) Midscreen to corner - **********3C, 22BC, 632BC x3, 66C, 5D, 5B, 5C, 236D, 6C, 2369C (~6.2k) ----------------------JIN---------------------------------- Mid screen - *****663C, 22BC, 22C, 66C, 22C x2, 66C, 22C, 66C, jC(3), 236C (This is a really awkward loop in that the 3C must be done at point blank whilst dashing and cannot be a counter hit.) I can't land a 2369C at all =/. It's also extremely range dependent, but I think a Blocked Rehhyou in the very corner should push you out to optimal distance.) ^^^^Further testing showed me that instead of the above combo, you can do ******3C 22BC 22Cx3 6C 5B 6B 5C 236D 6C 2369C for slightly more damage, but I much prefer the position that the 6C jc puts me at.   6. Yeah, but in a punish scenario - always take CH 5C 5D, If you are CH fishing with 5D, more likely than not you're going to do CH 5D 5D 6C 214A 2B 6C jc jB jC(3) j236C. Cause that also does more damage than CH 5D 6C 214A 2B 6C jc jC(3) jB jc jB jC(3) j236C
  7. CH 5C 5D 6C 214A 2B 6C jc jB jC(3) j236C (4506) does more damage than 5D 6C 214A 2B 6C jc jC(3) jB jc jB jC(3) j236C (3823 - CH 5D to start adds about another 100 damage) If you have the opportunity to CH with 5C, just take it as the scaling is better.
  8. Dog, if you block Ragna's Hells Fang's 2nd hit, just do CH 5C 5D 6C 214A 2B 6C jc JC 236C. It does about 45% to him compared to CH 5D 6C 214A 2B 6C jc JC 236C which does about 35% because the proation on 5D is worse than 5C. You can also get the counter hit 5C on his Infernal Dividers. Another Anti-Ragna thing is COUNTER ASSAULT. I've noticed a lot of the time, Ragna will get you in a corner and will pressure you, do his 5D, dash back in and start pressuring again. If you CA just before he does 5D, (Or heck, I've done it AT the first hit of 5D before) You can get behind him and 3C his whiffed 5D. Haven't really tested it, but you can probably get a 6C counter hit if you do it at his 5D, which will combo into 5D 6C 214A etc etc.

  10. jin specialty loop is 663C, 22BC, 22C, 66C, 22C 22C, 66C, 22C, 66C, jc, JC, j236C for about 6k you HAVE to be dashing at him before you 3C or the 22BC 22C will whiff. You can probably RC the 22BC and get the 22C but I haven't tried it. Also - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSEVeoto5ro

Carl and Nu. basically, Tager, Rachel, Litchi and Jin have special loops which are worth knowing because they do about 50%, Bang has a special loop in the corner, but I don't know what it is unfortunately, Kune's is not worth knowing about cause he's never on the ground. Ragna's works off of a CH 5C, which for less effort, you get 5D 6C 214A 2B 6C jc jC 236C combo for about the same damage.
  12. Neo, I find that in the corner it's better to delay your 6C's after the 22C rather than do it ASAP. They don't move forward far enough for the 22C to pick them up, but if you delay it, they get hit with the base of the shot (as opposed to the tip). Granted I normally only do the standard 4 rep version that works on 90% of the cast.

  15. Just something I noticed last night in regards to d.5B I was up against Rachel and whiffed a 5D but still went into 5B to try catch him off guard, and her pumpkin went right through me. Not sure if it's hitbox related or invuln frame related.

  18. Depends on how late you CA. you can actually delay it longer than the window they have to buffer in their followup. But if you delay too much, the followup (if they 236A/B) can be blocked. Edit: Just found that in the corner you can IB the second C of Rachel's 5CDC, block the 236A Low and then 6C 2C. If you want damage that can be guaranteed on reaction (and not a guess), just RC this into 6A 6C BNB. The reward is significantly lower though. You MUST IB the 2nd C though, other wise the push back will make the 6C whiff. IB'ing the 236A mid screen doesn't stop the push back enough for the 6C to be guaranteed, so only use 6C in the corner.
  19. If it hits both sides, chances are you'll be invincible when it starts so you have plenty of time to confirm, and then you just have to CH 2C 3C. I'll have to go into training to make sure this works though.
  20. If Rachel tries to do her 5CDC 236A block string, CA'ing at the 2nd C puts you behind her, and if she commits to the 236A, you get 3C for free. If she does it in the corner, 3C 22BCx4 combo is perfectly spaced. (And if she's bursted, you have a 100% combo using 236236D 6C 2367C instead of 6C 5D etc. If you DD too early, she can tech the Crossbow, too late and it doesn't connect.)
  21. Aginor, one thing I noticed was in the final round of the first match, you could have RC'd the Bloom trigger and dashed in for a 6C 2367C. If it's going to win you the round, it's worth it. (if you have 100 heat, you can RC and dash in for a 236236D) One thing people always tell me when I got competitive is "Don't be flashy, don't be greedy - Just take the fucking win."

I sometimes use it to RC stand alone 236D's - either from blocked chains but then they ate the 236D for some reason, or they ran into a drive installed 236D (has about half screen range and I use it to deal Libra damage). You can get about 4.5K from mid screen, and upwards of 5-6k about 2/3'rds a screen length or closer to the corner.
