  1. 5D is a good setup to open your opponent's defense. I like to 5a 5a 5b 5c 5d (this is where your opponent lets their guard down) Ice car (a, b, c or ice truck will do). Or instead of Ice Car, his DP d. If you Ice Car "a" you can set up a pseudo block string loop by repeating the whole thing, but if they get smart, then you could get counter thrown after the Ice Car, if you can, rapid cancel it if you know they will try to throw you. 6D has too slow a start up, best for punishing helplessly readable approaches and combos in a corner.
  2. Tech Wheel is easy to guard, the problem is his grab super, gotta understand your stun values so you don't get counter thrown in the middle of one of your combos.
  3. Time to take notes.
  4. Bang should be high tier. Anyway, Jin will have a hard time getting through those Shurikens.
  5. Ragna's Anti air will beat A and B, his has invincibility frames too and they last longer than Blizzard B. Gale wil cancel out with Ragna's, but Ragna wil keep going, leaving him in counter hit while you are free to do anything to him.
  6. 5B stinks, it's really hard getting by that when Ragna does nothing but that move on recovery. And his anti air will beat your Blizzard. Gotta use Gale (or whatever it's called). Ragna is a much easier fight if you know how to Instant Block very well.
  7. Sledge is all hype and intimidation. I figured out exactly how to get past it, and felt so stupid that I didn't before. Any non-projectile hit > Sledge. Seriously anything can work, 5A, 3C (recommended), even fucking Ice Cars beat Sledge. My issue was (won't mince words) I was scared to get close to Tager, because who feels comfortable being that close to that infuriatingly lovable robot beast? So when my friend start sledging through all my shit, I panic. When I was playing Arakune, I use 2C to get by it and to set up for curse, then it hit me. So now I easily punish Sledge when recklessly used. I found that Jin's best remedy is to punish Sledge whenever possible, which is basically free combos, and try to sneak in an anti air (with Invincibility frames) when he tries to rebut your advances. The fight is still mad hard, but now I'm starting to loosen up and win some matches other than getting 5 rolled. (I do best 5/9 with friends)
  8. I can't help but think that Arakune's HP is really lacking, he takes quite a bit of damage from others from what I've seen, now checking the first thread I saw his HP capacity, but I still have no clue if that's an adequate amount or not. Can someone inquire upon my curiosity, I recently picked him up and I frigg'n love this guy, but I have to know my limits.
  9. Tager is the only character who I know random Ice Cars won't work on.
  10. I just thought it would be nice if you guys took some notes on the match up. n.n Why thank you.
  11. Sarcasm is too damn hard to tell on the internet.
  12. But unlike V-13 she has a very steep learning curve. Why hate her because she's good and equally challenging to learn?

  14. What about Rachel?
  15. 6A doesn't combo, slow start up, slow cool down, you can get punished even if it lands (on a grounded opponent), and even on some technicality that you can combo from it, it wouldn't be as rewarding as some of his more mainstream combos.
  16. So there exist scenarios where the Astral Heat is the best option? Seriously, with the opponent at 20% HP, you'd think there'd be other go to methods that are easier and nowhere near as gimmicky.
  17. Don't Ice car off the back, wait for an opportunity. Like when she does that death wheel. Perfect chance.
  18. Remember guys, 6C to Moonsong works.
  19. Spam Anti airs, B-projectile and non-heat D moves. It's really intimidating, even in Jin dittos. Time the right anti airs right, even V-13 can't do anything. It also lowers the predictablility of Ice Cars. Ice Cars are our friend, just need to know when to use them, and it's extremely easy and common to find an opportunity, unless you're fighting Tager. Sorry if thart sounds too opinionated.
  20. Taocake is closer to Faust than Arakune. Arakune is the Eddie of BB.
  21. Aim low on Tagers to mix it up, 3C or 2B does fine. Your biggest fear here is/should be Tager Guarding your approach and punishing, which equates to 50% HP gone, which a super throw would do the trick from there. So don't always go in the air, aim low too.
  22. 6D is super laggy, and the computer will tech out on higher difficulties. It might work on human players however. Try 5D instead.

    [CT] Rachel vs Jin

The cat chair is more of a "gtfo" move than it is a combo starter.
  24. 5a, Ice car-a, j5a, j5b, grab. Jin shouldn't be approaching too much.
  25. Random Ice Cars > V-13 Be sure to look out for them, or they will dominate. Bear in mind "Random" as in, lack of consistency.
