  1. It is? I just restarted my console and checked, but I couldn't find it.
  2. It's midnight in Japan now, right? BRING IT ON.
  3. Kurushii-sama, is there any chance we could get a translation of the Gallery unlockables at some point? I'd like to make sure things like Noel's alternate costume/the palettes from the Color Palette 1 DLC/Unlimited Characters/etc. aren't available as in-game unlocks before I shell out the money for them.
  4. Playstation 3 Consoles: 1 PS3 Persona 4 Arena Copies: 1 Playstation 3 Consoles w/Guilty Gear: 1 Playstation 3 Consoles w/Suguri: 1 Number of consoles that overlap games: 1 Streaming equipment: Avermedia LGP and laptop, though my laptop can't handle streaming for long periods of time. It overheats and shuts down. As per the usual, it handles recording much better. My Hauppauge is no longer an option; I gave it to my little cousin as a gift.
  5. Nice work! Just decided to try some of this stuff out. Great stuff! Also, while I was messing around, I found something interesting regarding 2D -> jS. Apparently, it combos on Chipp, Testament (if spaced slightly away, or using a neutral jump at closer ranges), Potemkin, and Faust (who you're normally better off 2D -> jK'ing, since it does more damage, more corner carry, and is generally more consistent). Not sure if it's really worth including since it affects so little of the cast, but I figure it might be worth knowing. :3
  6. From my understanding, it's the store that gets in trouble because they technically didn't "legally" sell it, since breaking street date is illegal. It's still silly that it's such a big deal, though. I mean, do we all really feel so self-entitled to play games/watch movies/etc. for the first time on the exact same day? Would we really be so jealous that some people play games before us so early if the laws surrounding street dates weren't so strict and heavy? I don't think so. Hell, look at Europe. Online retailers have been known to ship games so that they arrive at people's houses before the street date, just so ensure they have their games BY the release date. And is it a big deal there? Not that I'm aware of. You know, not that Europe is the type of gaming model we should be striving towards, but that's besides the point. :P
  7. What? Retailers get games well before the release date all the time. There's nothing shady about making sure stores have plenty of stock before the games come out, especially when they're blockbuster games that require multiple shipments. Most chain retailers have sophisticated systems in place that simply won't allow the sale of a game early. That's why even if you find the game on store shelves at somewhere like Walmart, Best Buy, etc., the computer simply won't let the transaction go through. But some places, particularly Mom 'n Pop shops, don't have anything like that. They'll sell things to trusted customers as soon as they get them in, operating on a strict "don't ask, don't tell" policy. That said, however, they probably won't be breaking street date for a random stranger they've just met for the first time. On the off chance you let it slip, or were some sort of secret shopper to make sure they were following policy, they could end up losing their business. Not worth moving a single $40 game. tl;dr - I disagree with the notions that breaking street date are shady or dumb on the retailer's part; however, it is undeniably difficult to find a store that'll break street date for you. And on a side note, I think this is toooooooootally ridiculous. I can understand shipping the game out early to make sure errors in shipment don't delay people's acquisition of the games, but did they really expect shipping it out two weeks early wouldn't result in people getting the game early, too? And even then, was it reeeeeeeally necessary for them to fucking fly a representative out to these places to take action? This is a kid's game, guys. Chill the fuck out. This is some straight-up stalker shit, tracking down who people posting on the internet are so they can fuck these Mom 'n Pop shops in the ass.
  8. This. I use a Cronus Device all the time, including in tournaments. I can't distinguish any lag, and it doesn't fuck inputs up like some converters tend to do (I'm looking at you, Crossfire Adapter). It's expensive, but if you're determined to use a 360 controller like I am, it'll be worth the ~$70 investment.
  9. Wanna play the new Pokemon game early that bad, huh? :P Nah, I don't know of any myself, but chances are that if you can find a local store that sells new games that ISN'T a chain retailer, they'll let you break the street date if you keep it on the down-low/plead and beg/promise them future business/get buddy buddy/suck some dick.
  10. That's an exception to the rule. Generally, different region's games' DLC and saves won't be compatible with one another. Sometimes you'll end up with some weird and convenient cases, though, like with Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and its DLC on 360. The DLC was never released stateside, but for some bizarre and wonderful reason, the European DLC works with the NA version just fine.
  11. The best I could do was look at how much health was taken away from the health bar, and give an educated guess based on how much of the bar the combo before it did. I'm sure my guessed numbers aren't correct, but I can't see them being wrong by more than 500, which is basically what it comes down to when determining health values anyway.
  12. I know this has already been answered, but after doing some math on the Kokonoe vs. Terumi TGS gameplay video, it seems like Terumi has around 10,000 to 10,500 health. The values under Kokonoe's combo counter added up as: 1714 + (~900?) + 1621 + 2002 + 688 + 1396 + 1705 + (100?) = 10,126. The values in parentheses are the ones I had to guess for - a random hit from one of Kokonoe's air attacks, and the sliver of health he lost before getting annihilated by Golden Tager. Either way, it's probably not 9,500 unless they change him before release, or my math is super wrong somewhere. EDIT: Also, because I was curious - Kagura - 837 + 837 + 2776 + 2028 + 1030 + 837 + 2254 = 10,599. Plus chip damage, it's probably 11,000. Kokonoe - 1969 + 2575 + (~500?) + 3021 + 1879 = 9944. Plus chip damage, it's probably 10,000.
  13. September 28th MTNG Tournament Results: Guilty Gear Accent Core +R: Persona 4 Arena: King of Fighters XIII: Akatsuki Blitzkampf: Ausf Asche Vampire Savior: Thanks again to everyone who made this a tournament a success, and a huge thanks goes to M'Ellis for running everything smoothly and making it so that I was more of a consultant than a T.O., haha. Hope to see everyone out at King of Bling!
  14. If we can have Murakumo Noel, Murakumo Tsubaki, Six Heroes Terumi, and Nu back, maybe we could end up with a version of Kokonoe that only uses magic?
  15. Maaaaaan, I just wanna know if Terumi comes with the digital version or not. And if he doesn't, I just wanna know if he'll be available as DLC at launch, and how much he'll be if so. ; n;
  16. U-Uresai, baka! Uri-senpai made this avatar for me, and it's the s-source of all my DP powers! But you're a member of my rival clan... it's not like you could ever understand that...
  17. Haha, I can't bring myself to do that with my old posts. I was weeaboo as fuck. I mean, I still am, but not to THAT extreme.
  18. I'm skeptical about my ability (and willingness) to attend. I'll need to see what games are on the lineup and how much it would cost before I make any commitments. Aside from the fact that this doesn't include Phil, I agree with this. :P I also agree with this. And I agree with thi- whoa whoa whoa, hold on. Asking me to take out my gimmicks to win is like asking me to take the Jackie Chandler out of Jackie Chandler. ... I'm kidding (partially). XD I know I need to level up my solid play a lot more. That's always been the case. I came across some great +R Ky videos recently, so I'm gonna look at those specifically and practice +R once it comes out stateside. And as far as developing my fundamentals goes, I really need to learn how to play neutral game better, and moderate my mixups (I tend to end all my blockstrings in a mixup, and that's not good). If I can do that, I think I can confidently say I've reached the next level. Thanks for the tips and praise, Kyle. :]
  19. Good games, everyone! I had a great time playing everybody, and an even better time getting the chat all riled up at times. :P I'll put up a better fight next time, just you wait, Tectal! See you all at the next one!
  20. I'm just about to be done with babysitting. I'm on my phone at the moment, so I can't log into IRC if that's necessary. If you have to DQ me, no hard feelings.
  21. I didn't know until a couple days ago, myself. And my mind. Was. BLOWN. O wO Now we just need this kind of thing implemented in an online PC mod.
  22. Yo, we might even be able to do better than that, Astaroth. Did you know that if you play with a PS3 and up to 3 Vitas, you can play Spelunky co-op WITHOUT the annoying flag/camera bullshit? :O You could even play on the PS3 with a 360 controller with my Chronus~. :3
  23. Good games to everyone I played tonight. You might see me on more this week as I prepare for BADC~.
