  1. So his response to fans uploading clips of Subspace Emissary on the internet... ... is to remove the mode and replace them... ... with "intro sequences" they're inevitably going to use to hype people up for the game and its roster... ... on the internet.
  2. Hm. While it isn't a glitch in the sense that Player 2 was killed because of the Mudooon, I would refer to it as a glitch in the sense that he simply fell out of the CH super. Obviously, in every other instance, the opponent is supposed to become trapped in it if their Fate Counter is at zero. It is possible to run into instances where the Mudoon/Hamaon are techable after long combos, but that's because the untechable time is shit by the time the super hits. I'm not sure why he just dropped out of the move. Fun fact, though - you can use reversals and some supers that make you invulnerable to survive Naoto's super IK's as they're supposed to hit.
  3. This. This this this this this. I enjoyed the game in the beginning for its simplicity and focus on concrete fundamentals/yomi. But now that there are all these characters and meter mechanics that work differently, I'm really not that big of a fan as I used to be. I mean, I'll wait to judge it until I play it, but as it stands, I have my fair share of doubts.
  4. I imagine most people won't be recording and uploading videos with that intention in mind - it'll be to "show off" to other players, and perhaps help promote the game. It'll happen for the same reasons people post videos of them owning other players in online matches, or why people make tutorials on how to fare better against competition in fighting games. No doubt a portion of the uploaders will have somewhat good intentions. It's just that, in a situation like this, it'll only make things more difficult on the players who play the Daily Challenges the way they're meant to be played, no doubt.
  5. Actually, the Cookeville guys brought this up to me yesterday. I think it has the potential to be a cool idea, but IMO, the whole idea of the map being a surprise will be ruined by people looking up videos of the Daily Challenges before playing it themselves. :V I.E., while you only get one attempt per day, the maps will be potentially easier to complete and rank well on - you just have to not be one of the first people to complete them. :P
  6. He's just saying it the way it's pronounced.
  7. OMG NEW TN PEEPS EVERYWHERE. I love it~. :D Welcome to MTNG, KakesuSora! My name's Jackie Chandler, and I'm the guy that's gonna make you hate DP's. :B
  8. That's kind of what I'm worried about, since a lot of the stories I've been reading are from people who ordered an expensive amount of items at one time. How would I go about requesting an invoice "modification," though? Would that just be through Play-Asia customer service or what?
  9. Quick question - have you ever been hit with a customs fee for importing using FedEx? And if you have, how much was it? I got together with a group of friends, and we'll be ordering six copies of CP on the same order using FedEx as shipping, so I just want to prepare myself for any possibility - especially on an order as big as that.
  10. Ah, awesome! We'll be looking forward to seeing you there. :D I'm pretty sure Memphis has their own fight nights some time during the week, so you should look into that if possible. Plus, I know Bane and Liquid John live in Memphis over the summer, so maybe you could get up with them about playing ArcSys games. Don't let living in Memphis deter you from being part of the community!
  11. There's been a lot of interest in MTN recently, so I'm sure people would play with you in friendlies if you showed up. But as far as tournaments go, I don't think it's on the lineup yet. Milln tries to put a lot of the games that have the most players on the lineup, so if you'd like to support Chaos Code in a tournament setting, you should show up and play games with us some time! Do you live in Tennessee?
  12. Shhhhhh, nobody's supposed to know. :P (Thanks for the birfday wishes, though~.) Also, it's been so long since I've seen/heard from you. D: You should join us in the MTN Skype chat!
  13. King of Bling confirmed for biggest tournament of the year.
  14. I'd like to nominate Milln for an "In Real Life" Award, for bringing Middle Tennessee together, keeping the local scene alive and well, and constantly going out of his way to support the MTN community.
  15. Were there any pictures taken? I'd kind of like to see what they looked like if possible.
  16. I'll do my best to make it to this! Is there any chance at having a P4A tournament, though? We don't have any confirmed release date for CP stateside yet, and while I'm sure we could run a tourney on the Japanese version of the game, I imagine there's a significant potential audience that would be more comfortable playing the latest US ArcSys fighting game they've had a chance to practice with.
  17. S.S.H.?! S.S.- *Mind explodes* I need this OST in my body. Like, right now. That's not just a hitbox viewer - the OP links to an extraction tool. http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=10504 Only problem is, it requires an account to access the download link, and in order to make an account you have to donate €5. I'm operating poverty status, so I have to ask. Does anybody have a Xentax account they'd be kind enough to let me use, or willing to upload the extraction tool elsewhere? I would be EXTREMELY grateful. ; o;
  18. Awesome, I'll be looking forward to it~. And OH SHIT 11:34.
  19. So does anyone else actually care about Abyss Mode? I care about Abyss Mode. I hope they add an ability that allows the user to ignore SMP. Or how about an ability that extends OD time? Oooooo! What if they made an ability that gives you P4A mechanics (Awakening bonuses/rolls/manual air turn around/etc.)? Regardless, I'm hoping to see tons of Abyss Mode combo videos once the game comes out.
  20. Astral theme at 30:10 - http://www.twitch.tv/jyosua/b/426213418 EDIT: Longer version at 57:58. I love how many Astrals are happening at this event. :D
  21. Not sure if it's been mentioned before or not, but in part(s) of Jyosua's stream there's an option for Abyss Mode on the main menu. I don't think it's been reported that the mode has been returning yet, so this is great news for me. Can't wait to mess around with some of the inevitable new abilities and stuff~ EDIT: Also, you can hear a clip of the new Astral theme at 30:10 here - http://www.twitch.tv/jyosua/b/426213418 EDIT EDIT: Longer version at 57:58.
  22. For those of you who don't frequent the Skype chat, MTN's having a Fourth of July party in Cookeville at the Baymont Inn and Suites off I-40. BE THERE. OR BE A SQUARE.
  23. Please don't get this. It's a piece of crap that drops diagonals on the analog stick whenever it feels like it. Kind of like the 360 version of Guilty Gear. If you're looking for a good 360 to PS3 converter, I'd recommend looking into the Cronus Device. I've owned one for about a year now and I've never had any problems with it. I haven't noticed any input lag (the FAQ on their website puts it at 1.1 milliseconds, which seems pretty damn negligible), and as far as I can tell it works perfectly for 360 controllers (I play BB and P4A on PS3 with it all the time). That said, there *was* some drama over the Cronus Device at Final Round, due to a statement MarlinPie made on Twitter. He basically said the "small USB dongle things cause input lag for both players" after attending a tournament set on PS3 and requested a ban - to my knowledge, he never even specified what it was he was talking about. Then, less than a week before Final Round was scheduled, they issued a ban on the device. I almost didn't attend, because I play on a 360 controller. Ever since then I've been meaning to test the input lag on it, and I even recorded some videos for it recently - but the editing looks like it'll take a lot of work and I don't know if the footage was of high enough quality to really warrant frame analysis and whatnot (not to mention I wouldn't even know where to begin in analyzing that sort of thing). If you want my educated opinion, though, I don't think it causes noticeable input delay for either players, and if it did I'm confident we would have seen it banned at other recent tournaments (particularly EVO). And on a side note, I've been running into you everywhere recently, haha. Best of luck in the CP tournament if you enter. You'd have a great chance at winning - I'm sure there'll be a ton of casuals who enter. :P
  24. Participation in local tournaments: BlazBlue CP: Oh god yes. Guilty Gear: Yes. KOF 13: Yes. Persona 4 Arena: Yes. Suguri and Chaos Code are maybes depending on what I think after spending more time with each game. And a Vampire Savior tournament might be cool. I know there's been quite a bit of interest recently and I enjoy marooshing buttons as Taroobain. Will travel to majors to play in tournaments or promote MTNG: The only games I'll consider traveling places for are Chrono Phantasma and P4A - and even then, only if my wallet allows it. Generic interest. Casuals, but no tournament: Shaq-Fu.
