  1. I wasn't commenting on your video specifically. The reference to yukikaze, I meant as being knockdown at midrange from nu, then using a reversal super yukikaze on one of her D-swords, which I've seen a few people do and hear "Oh shit that's so pro!" when it's more of a gimmick than anything.
  2. I feel that those Japanese player's ability to instant block so much is 100x more an atestment to their skill than dropping an optimal combo. Look at that hakumen, look at how much he instant blocks. You never see that shit online. Shit man, I've hardly seen many pro Americans instant block so much. Gravity Well is fucking Nu Bullshit. If you disagree I dont think you truly understand the Hakumen matchup. Sure, you can get your shit pushed in for dropping a bad gravity well. But Good Gravity wells make Hakumen Hate life. You may have seen much more amazing looking things than that 'boring match' online, but that's because the higher level the play, the more common denominator the match becomes, and get boiled down to their simplest forms. Lots of High level play looks boring, because video doesn't capture the mental battle between the two players very well. Using a reversal super Yukikaze after a knockdown to fuck up a NU isn't impressive. That's called a gimmick that the Japanese don't fall for.
  3. So why are you complaining about it in the CS Hakumen Video Thread? Dude I'm mad hype for CS. I am salivating over 4C and new J.C. And I can't wait to play with faster 5C and 6C as well as a less fucked up matchup vs Arakune (though the videos I've seen of Hakumen vs. Arakune in CS still looks like it'll be a very unfun matchup, but at least we can do something now.)
  4. The Hakumen in the blue get up in some of the recently posted vids looks pretty solid. The arakune he played against dropping those 100 hit combos. That still looks like it'll be a tough matchup, but at least nowhere near the 8-2 it was. can anyone link me some A-92 vids? I've been trying to glean them from the CS video thread in the general section, but I've been going through a lot of videos and still haven't found any of his matches.
  5. Wow Ryo, good shit. That's insane stuff, especially considering just about everyone else had their damage nerfed. Those combos sound like the require some timing though.
  6. Damn! Must play BB:CS. I'm sad they nerfed Hakumen's "EIIIIIIIIIYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAGH" Oh well. Might see if I can get out there tonight.

  7. Hey it's no problem man. Life isn't always ^_^. Sometimes it's v_V. And yah, thats fucking sick. Hazama looks like he could be fun, but only as a sub.

  8. Shit I knew I should've gone down to play casuals with you guys. But I had a pretty shit weekend, i don't wanna get into it, but it sucked. how did he get a copy of CS? He had a cab or somethign? da fuck? O_O Yah CS hakumen is a beast, his new 4.C and J.C are legit.

  9. From what I've seen of CS hakumens, his air combo still does great damage.
  10. His new voice doesn't sound so exaggerated and over-the-top anymore, but I sure am going to miss the EUUIIYAAAAHH!!! and the AEIII - AIIIEEEY - AEIIIIIYAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH during j.2c combos. also, I'm pretty sure Mugen is meant for infinity in this case, those who say it's dream, I think are talking out their ass. I don't know japanese but in the English version, in training mode there's an option to toggle Infinity on an off, which toggles mugen. Sounds like a direct translation. Also, it makes more sense, since the entire gimmick of Mugen is infinites (combos).
  11. Hotaru was always considered a grounded move. It was always unblockable in the air without IBin'g/barrier guarding.
  12. Ranbats are a great way to hang out and have a good competition for improving your game. I like it because you "have something to prove" which means people are gonna play seriously. Which is the best way to level up, IMO. yeah Dwaines stick sounds fucked. Yuck. Rofl Dude, I should've never lost to Lester. He's so bad. I should've just zoned the whole match. But it's gonna be different when I go back up there. Haha, Free money right? Is your asian buddy going to be on your team? I think his name was John? The one that calls me Mike all the time. I think you + xavier would = rape any greenville team. Those guys are *not* BB players. Does Lester not know you almost made top 8 at Seasons Beatings? Don't worry I won't say anything. :3

  13. Yah, I missed Impact Clash. I also missed the USC tourney. Work has been fucked until recently. Would've loved to have gone. C.Viper is actually a mutated character from Marvel vs. Capcom 2. I'm also gonna miss the Jan. 2 columbia ranbats. The next tournament i'll be able to make is the greenville one that Filldoh is doing up on the 16th. I'll be out of state visiting parents for the holidays. I've been spending a lot of time making my Hakumen more aggresive. I've taken some tips from the other Haku players on dustloop, and it's been working out really well. Dunno how they'll play out against actually good players though, instead of Arakunes I consistently destroy online all day (lol?) I'm used to loose sticks. I play on an EX hori 2 on occasion, just in case I ever end up at a PS3 tourney and have to use a loose one. Speaking of which, need to get me a PS3 stick. After I heard of Dwaine's converter fudging his stick up (or so I heard), thinkin of just sayin fuck it.

  14. Sup dude, I'd love to hit up some Blazblue practice.

  15. You're right, went back and it was 3 j.2A's then J.C. I often times see things that aren't there it would seem.
  16. I've seen this in a few CS vids where Hakumen will do j.2A -> j.2A -> J.2C -> J.C in the corner, and I've seen a few other vids where the Hakumen only does j.2A -> j2.A -> J.C. Is the first dustloop character specific?
  17. I was timid with Hakumen's drive to begin with too. And you should be. But I can see that your skill level is at a point where being more liberal with catches will step your game up a lot. Also, if you're too scared to use Hakumen's drive, how will you ever get in the proper practice so you can make motha fuckas scared to do any sort of block string on you? Once you get good at it, you can bust out his drive at a tournament and be all Samuel L. Jackson "6D MOTHA FUCKA!! DO YOU FEAR IT?!"
  18. Also I saw you got a J.C counterhit couple of times. You can immediately do 2C when you land and then follow up with Super jump 2C -> air dash -> j.c
  19. .___.
  20. Good Shit on that Darth Hakumen pic. I love it. Work of Art. It's the Mona Lisa of Blazblue. Anyways. I love it Ryoko. I'm going to steal your shit. Sorry. "Good poets borrow, great poets steal." - TS Eliot. I love your calculated aggression. Those balls-to-the-walls forward hops are awesome.
  21. If Yukikaze activates, and you're frozen, you're eating it. No way out.
  22. Someone needs to do the old pope image photoshopped over Darth vader, only with a picture of hakumen, and quoting this.
  23. Woops. it's 14 frames of invincibility. and as soon as those 14 frames are over, your recovery is too. Check frame data bro. Even if they IB it, you're at neutral frames, and if you got punished you forgot to block/barrier.
  24. I love hotaru, so much. bitches don't know about 13 frames of invincibility.
  25. Every now and then when I'm feeling ballsy and want to take a risk, I'll bust out naked renka. It comes out as fast as 2B I think. But I didn't know that. Edit: it's not even really a risk, but sometimes I like to burn stars on a gamble. And it's pretty safe. And starting off with Zantetsu is horrible, unless you've been hittin the guy low everytime, then do zantetsu. But it's slow enough where good players can block it on reaction. You'd be better off doing Tiger knee Tsubaki -> Renka instead for mixup.
