Well, Haku realized he was in love with her later. Or at least he realized the value of it. Yeah that's what I figured happened too. Except in one Bad End, the Black Beast actually comes out of the gate or something.

I always wondered, what happens to the timelines after the loop occurs. Nu and Ragna fall into Cauldron and go into the past ~> but what about the present? I remember for some reason it seemed like that timeline would get wiped out or reset. Or do they just continue living on in a world without Ragna and Nu.

The main difference between EX Haku and CP Haku is the scope of their goodness. By that I mean, EX Haku is just great across the board. CP Haku, on the other hand, is great in some specific areas; his advantages are focused on a point, like a knife. Most of the time he isn't going to be able to take advantage of the OD 9k combo but it's just there for those "oops I win" moments. It's obviously ridiculously strong but I'm not sure where he would be if he didn't have that since otherwise he wouldn't have as much explosive power. It's not something you factor into the average match but just the fact that it's there can mean something when gauging the character's strength. (Also someone mentioned Tao in CT. She ended up around A tier by the end of the game's lifespan, IIRC.)

I really liked how it looked, but it took forever to navigate it.

I'm starting to wonder if I won't actually do worse in CP since I rely on counters so much.

I thought he was a good father figure to Ragna. It seems like Kokonoe is just mad he let her mom get killed or something, and that's her problem, it's not his fault.

I always thought that was more Kokonoe's problem than Jubei's.

Well it's not like there aren't simply good characters in BB. Look at Jubei.

Kind of. I was thinking the mech would have it's own HP bar. Imagine fighting the mech until you get the HP low enough that the player has to tag it out for Kokonoe by herself. A stance fighter is more like, involving just 1 move that could be done from the stance, rather than a whole other character. Then her distortion could have Tager come out of nowhere and hit them or something.
