That's what I always thought of it. It never occurred to me to classify it as an "anime game" until I got online and saw people talking lool I mean, I was thinking of it being like Guilty Gear, and GG isn't very anime, it's just weird. But really, I have no problem calling BB or anything else an anime game, who cares. It's not like someone who's going to go HURR LOOK ITS ANIME is going to stop once they see the art style just because you called it an airdasher.

Usually that notation is only used when the move is multiple hits. So if it's 6C(1) that means only doing the first hit.

It can help. Sometimes I like to just see how long I can block and see what kind mixup the opponent likes to do. Then next time, you're prepared for it and can try and hit them out of it at the right time instead of just going in blind. But that probably won't be so easy against someone who's way above you already anyway. It's still a good habit to have, and you should try it against some of the players closer to your level. Eventually you'll have a defense that makes people wondering how they're supposed to touch you.

Aw snap, I forgot all about that move. I think people didn't get what I was saying though. I was saying that usually it isn't going to whiff because you're going to try and pressure, so even if you read it at the last second and she DPs, she can RC and continue pressure to stop you from doing anything about it. If you're trying to make it whiff, you're going to be too far to make her feel pressured enough to DP. You can try to bait it by jumping back at the last second, but that would rule out Shippu. Still something to try though...

Yeah, I'll call it out with a counter then just stand there like a retard when the followup misses. It puts you back to neutral though, but that's not really worth the risk of using the counter. Hotaru can clash with it if you time it right, but she can follow up with 2C or 5B way quicker than you can do anything, so she actually wins from that. It's easier to deal with Ragna RCing Inferno Divider since if he's in the air he has some ways to fall before he can hit you, so there's a gap. If he does it on the ground though it's a different story. It's not as big a deal with Ragna (and Jin) though since he's a rushdown character that's going to be on you the entire time anyway, as opposed to Mu who you might finally have cornered only for her to DP and then escape even if you block it.

Yeah, if I block it and she has no meter to rapid, I can punish it easily. What I meant was the people I always fight, like Nemesis, always have meter to rapid after it, so even if I bait it, I'm still on defense. She can follow it up with 5C to make an airtight gatling and basically regain pressure even though she got baited. The only way to really make her hurt for it is to make it whiff, and then you're too far half the time to punish it effectively. It also is invincible to counters and goes through Hotaru. Also, even her shotgun super beats Hotaru. My jaw dropped when I saw that.

Her DP feels way harder to punish though. It's such a pain.
