  1. Yeah, I haven't been playing that much either. You saw the slaughter that occurred :P You think I was more defensive, really? Interesting. Well, CS Haku does kind of force you to zone... I accepted it after a lot of raging. :P 4C doesn't help against 214D! I mean, if he does it full screen for some dumb reason I can 4C it, but there's a "sweet spot" where she's too close to throw out 4C because I'll get hit out of its startup, and a lot of the time Arcade does it as I'm getting up, so I don't even have time to throw it out; I get up and it's already on me. That's why I ended up countering it so much. :P I have to figure a way to deal with it but so far it's just an airtight lockdown if I get caught in the corner.

  2. But I thought this matchup was 7-3 Haku
  3. *looks up Kusaregedo* Oh god, no. That looks like something out of Super Metroid. It's just a reference to Hakumen's Mugen combo :P TSUBAKI xN It would be neat if you could figure some stuff out for that. When I fight some Lambdas their favorite thing to do is IAD back and get ready to j.D anything I do to get out of pressure and it works pretty well for them. If I try to psychic it and IAD j.C after them, half the time they just sit there crouching and I'll end up IADing across the screen and giving them back their zoning :P
  4. "OS X"? Do you use a Mac?

  5. Argh. You're so lost. :P Do you have an idea of how footsies work in general? To be fair... it doesn't really come up with Tager that much... Actually scratch that, you have to have strong basics to play Tager well, but I meant that his main game landing command throws and such.
  6. Good... good. Did you just play Axis?
  7. Anyway, I just wanted to say, sure CS is newer and is more balanced, but it's not exactly new for an older version of a fighting game to have adherents over a newer version. Everyone hated SF3 when it first came out and now a lot of players prefer SF3 over SF4. And SF2 is still considered the best out of all of them despite being the oldest. :P It was also the least balanced and most hilariously broken one of them all, with 7-3 matchups all over the place and "touch of death" combos and such. So what? That's what made it fun. Marvel VS Capcom 2 is the most broken thing ever but people get so hype over it they bet their cars. If CS was just CT + nerfing the top three + the new characters it would have been the better game than CS as it is now, in my book. CS is still good, it's just... I enjoyed CT more. CS is more balanced (although it still has... its fair share of problems) but CT was the better and funner fighter. This ends my off topic post.
  8. Do you mean, less trouble in CT?

  9. CT Jin VS Arakune matches were always hype. The only character to stand a chance against the top three against the character that just shreds through the rest of the cast like tissue paper. :P
  10. Hey GGs tonight Hawkeye. I like how when Nirvana died in that one match I taunted and you just sat there and I just let you sit there next to Nirvana recharging. :P Both of us were determined not to make the first move, lol.

  11. The problem with 4C is that even if it hits you, it doesn't let me get in. Unless I get a CH... You're the only Lambda that was smart enough to not get hit in the beginning of the round by IADing back and trying to attack. Usually Lambdas do that and then I IAD j.C them right into the corner and they're screwed, 10 seconds into the round. That's right out of the CT Nu/Haku playbook though.

  12. Hehe, I 4C'd at the beginning of the round when I thought you were going to rush me down in a rage and not IAD away :p

  13. Sophisticat changed mains? FLAY THE SKIN FROM HIS BONES
  14. Also they made him weaker up close, if he couldn't at least make people a little scared when he got in against Lambda then the matchup would just be free. :P He's primarily a zoner character now hilariously enough, but Lambda always beats out other zoners.

  15. Yeah, I'm not sure what Haku can do against Lambda when he's stuck in the corner like that, but there has to be something, right. :P I actually don't think Haku's mixups are that good. You were blocking them pretty well towards the second half of our games. I was getting desperate since I'd work the entire match to get in, and just barely be in range for a 6A or a 3C to barely hit you, then you'd block everything perfect and fly away. His mixup is pretty much just, block low, and if I 6A, get ready to maybe block high if I do a 6B. :P He has his TK Tsubaki overhead but it takes 3 stars so it's only going to come out like once per round if anything. I'm getting better at mixing in my tick throws again though.

  16. "I got pretty upset with how good Hakumen's mixups were. And damage. I wasn't angry outward, but inside I was mad, haha." ROFL, when I got you in the corner and hit you with an overhead once and won the match when you pretty much won it, I was thinking "Oh man he must be so mad from that right now." :P I need to use my counters more... they kind of nerfed them into the ground in CS though. :( Not only do they do a lot less damage so the risk is way higher than the reward now, the hitbox on 5C is shorter so it's a lot harder / impossible to link any real combo off a counter now. A few times I got a counter on you but couldn't do anything after it. Oh, I fought Tranz once or twice, but it was too laggy for him to really do anything.

  17. Yeah, I could tell you were getting really into it. :D You started doing your run up jab mindgames and the TK feints all over the place. I kept trying to 2A you on EVERY run in, and EVERY SINGLE TIME, I would get CH'd by your 2A :P Did you notice how every time you ran up it pretty much happened? I decided to just start smashing 3C towards the end any time you came close and it started working a little though. Eh, it wasn't that laggy, I just kept dropping combos and missing blocks. Dumb things. :P You pretty much had me too scared to do anything. PM me your phone number and I'll call you next time we get together, though I don't know when that is. I'm not in town this weekend. Although there's a few BB players around the Philly area and some of them are trying to start a mini-scene so if I hear something's going down with that I'll let you know too.

  18. Raging is pretty much your only option. Maybe a hop/TK hotaru, but that probably takes too long. If you're right in their face and you want to psychic it, you could throw out a 2C which would snag them on the way up... that never usually happens though.
  19. Your Lambda is as good as ever. I'm kind of happy that you managed to get back into it so fast. I was worried you hadn't played in so long that we wouldn't really be able to play good games any more. But I guess I'm the one who has get back into it. :P

  20. Haha, the last Lambda I played was you when we played way way back :P Stickbug... I don't know, it's kind of weird. He has solid fundamentals and he's very knowledgeable but you do better against me. He says that's because it's online though, but I don't know who gets hit by lag worse between Haku and Lambda. :P I was actually telling him about our matches and seeing if he could help me with some of the problems I have against your Lambda, but I'd have to probably record a match of me getting raped so he could see for himself. :P Then again, when I played him, I'd spend like 8 hours playing with LK and others so I was kind of "in the zone." When we play online though it tends to be in short bursts instead. He played a lot more on the zoning side, and was more conservative in his moves. You tend to fish for a lot of stuff, throw out psychic moves and often catch them, rush down and go for mixup and such. He mostly focused on playing keepaway.

  21. I like how Dacid just appears out of nowhere as soon as his name is dropped :P
  22. So go look for it. :P It's all in the thread.
  23. Maybe in CS...
  24. Nah, you'll always be my Carl. :P I always liked all your resets. I pretty much play randomly now and then like you do. And I still don't know how to keep Carl out in CS :P I played Oso the other day. My camping was too much for him. I think he mentally ragequit about halfway through our first match.
