wtf, Shervin said that too. "He sounds like a rapist." I like the things he says. :p Why are you gonna leave the state? Luckily Summer Jam was in Philly which is like 30 minutes from my house.

I found even the PS3 controller kind of weird. Like, I'd input A or D, and half the time, it wouldn't come out! I know it wasn't just me, because Shervin was playing on his own stick, and the same thing was happening to him. Also, the game would literally choke and lag up when he'd land a 720. Yeah, it was pretty fun. Those things are pretty much like all day road trips. You round up some friends and go drive around, find some places to eat, (we ate at a Pizza Hut) and play games. You also get to meet the other good players and there's usually some funny people there. It was hard for me to concentrate sometimes when someone would say something funny every time I'd smack someone with Hakumen's sword. "STAY SAD!"

We got matched up against each other in like the first round. Considering you go to these events to play people you DON'T play every day for free, we were like
, lool. I couldn't do much except jump around and j.C and 4C and randomly counter. He astral'ed me. But I perfected him when we got home and I plugged in my pad.
Also fought a Hazama, a Noel, and a Makoto. They were pretty good but had no idea how to handle my zoning. My last match was against that Makoto player, NinjaCW. It was very close, so I think I would have won it if I was able to play on a 360. -
Shervin's match with this Bang towards the end was amazing. He was getting wrecked. That Bang was practically trolling him the entire set. But then Shervin made a last second comeback, so the Bang went for timeout in match deciding round. They were both at like 1% life with the Bang a bit ahead, but out of nails. There were 2 seconds left with the Bang full screen and in the air. Shervin threw an almost full screen 720. It looked like the Bang player would easily avoid it. Then he fell into it. It was amazing.

I went back home and went to a major East Coast tournament called Summer Jam that they have every year. They have to use PS3s so I can't really play, so I just tagged along to see my brother play and check out the CS tournaments. I ended up signing up for the CS one along with my brother since, they told us to come around noon for SF4 signups but always take hours to actually start. Meanwhile the BB stuff was going on earlier in the day. It was a good thing we did it too since they didn't actually start the SF4 singles 'til like 10 PM, wtf. We ended up just playing BB and leaving around 6. Shervin got top 4 I think, somehow, and I got 13th, mainly since I wasn't using my 360 pad and had to alternate between PS3 pad and stick.

:0 Thanks for the heads up. I'll probably be at Summer Jam in philly this weekend though. Darn! I'll definitely play with you guys soon though.

What negative comments? You mean people rooting against Hazama? That's because he's Hazama :P

You said you could tell when I was cocky from how I was playing. What was giving it away?

I might come on Wednesday... I have work the next morning though since I work during the week so I'm not sure.

RAGUNAAAAAAAAAAAA Hmmm, I'd say he's a bit better than CT Jin. But I get the idea. I wonder how CT Haku would do VS CS Ragna. :P You know what's weird? Even though Haku got buffed, he's never in any Japanese tournaments and only 1 made it into SBO. Makes me think he's not as good as we thought. Or still has some huge flaws that knock him out (probably zoning, so far I still have trouble with Rachel lobelias lewl, although only from Banzatou. You can try cutting them but then they just wind them and screw up your timing, you get CH into combo and knocked full screen, repeat.) It irks me too when my character feels like that. Sometimes I have some move (like 4C VS Tager) that I don't want to use, but eventually I get over it, plus good Tagers can deal with it.

That's why I liked using Hakumen. :> I kind of need to get good at the game in general before I can pick up other characters though. I'd be just as lost with them. But in CT after I had fought 94854985349843 Jins and Omni and Baiken and such, it was easy to just pick him and do whatever and I was already on par with say, a level 50 Jin just from the matchup experience and doing what the Jins I fought did.

Oh no no, I meant *I* could 6A Ragna or anyone else in CT, I didn't have to worry about positioning VS air attacks, whereas now without 6A you're forced to zone full screen to keep people out, as Hakumen. If I wanna deal with your 6A, I'd just j.D it ;P Yeah, getting hit behind 6A happened to Haku a lot too. I was never able to quite deal with that in CT. Jin's j.B just raped me.

Also a LOT of his combos became super timing and spacing specific... not that it's beyond my grasp but it's kind of annoying. :P Also there's a bunch of ultra tight links like 5C, 5C. I have to master them, although it's not that different than when I had to learn the falling j.C combo in CT. That took until I was level 60 to ever be able to do it. That said... I have fun scrubbing around with Tsubaki and I always liked using Jin in CT too. But I'm too loyal to Haku to change. :P *rages*
