OK, well, what I realized is if they tech AWAY, you can catch them with 6C out of their roll because of the awesome range, then do Shippu. :D If they tech BEHIND you, you can catch them with 2B then Renka then Rapeā¢. You have to decide before they roll what to do though, if you wait until they actually roll it's too late. Not sure how practical it is but I can test it if I remember. :P If you get them in the corner with 2B > Renka, you can 2C them up so they air tech then air throw them as they recover.

"If you knock an opponent down you can hop to them and do an overhead TK with Hakumen. " I actually tried that too. :D Smart thinking Arcade.
The only problem is it doesn't work since they're invincible so it just goes through them. Unless I wait until they completely get up. There's potential there, I will keep looking at it. -
If you roll AWAY, I can 6C and hit you into Shippu. I used to to this way back in the day but I forgot about it. :P If you roll behind me, I discovered today that Haku can do 2B > then the double kick combo into anything (renka). Although maybe you can just do renka without 2B, I didn't think of that. Haku's 2B also lifts you up into the air so you air tech, which can let me anti-air you as you tech or air throw. Hmm... so you've run into this before... so it does work... it doesn't have to be in the corner either, I've seen Nu's tech behind me when I was coming after them to throw me off. I think I need to experiment with this. I just have to remember to actually do it during a match.

Oh no, you misunderstand me. I wouldn't mash 5A on wakeup, that is just retarded. :P I meant, when you charge in at me and do a fake TK crescent in my face sometimes then go into high/low/throw mixup, I could just 5A on reaction to you to knock you out of the crescent. Maybe. I'm just brainstorming. :P And for oki, I was talking about what Haku can do to Nu. I definitely remember you scooping me up off the floor, I was real surprised the first time since most Nu's just watch me get up. And you're right about what Haku can do, those were actually what I was thinking of!

Also there's some Haku oki / wakeup stuff I came up with today, maybe you can tell me what you think. :0 One of them was actually something I knew a while back but I just remembered it. The only issue is I have to guess where they roll before they actually do it, which isn't how it normally works is it? Like Jin just does 5B and no matter what happens he gets you or something.

;P Damn, that's a pretty big investment. I feel bad asking for you to plunk that down now. :P You must make sure you are totally behind it if you want to do it. Also, I was thinking about the Nu matchup... since you started playing with Hakumen now, how do you think Hakumen could go about negating that mixup you usually put me through? And Arcade too. :P I used to do a decent job of it but I think I forgot some stuff so I need to relearn it... need to 6A on reaction again, etc. Not all of my muscle memory came back... matchup specific stuff is still gone. I think that's why I went from being able to read it before to just getting taken by surprise all over the place now. I used to be able to see an Act Parser coming, jump over it and behind Nu while she came in, and hit her with falling j.C. Now I'm just like LOL WUT *dies* :P

Also, I was thinking, if you run up to me and do a TK Crescent, fake or not, instead of trying to guess, I can just hit 5A and knock you out of it, right? The only question is what I would follow up with, since there isn't really anything there. Perhaps something else... I just need to relearn my reactions I had against Nu. After I somehow mysteriously lost all my muscle memory I got it back finally but for certain matchups I took a few steps back. Like I used to just 6A any jump ins on reaction, but I noticed now I just watch people jump at me and I block. If I 6A'd more often it would negate some of that mix up entirely.

Hehe, I didn't say it was by Hakumen. ;P But yes it is. :P Yeah, Hakumen knocks down Nu. I think you would want to roll out, but I remember you mainly just teching up and sitting in the corner waiting for me to do stuff. I read your wall posts on Cake's wall and it inspired me to find some ways to do oki with Hakumen because supposedly there isn't any. And I think I found some. :3 But... I pretty much have to guess how the person rolls before they do it.

Hey Arcade, I got a Nu question for you: if you get knocked down in the corner, is it best to roll out or to neutral tech? Or does it depend?

Oh, I'm using the ticket for myself. :< Splitting the hotel cost would be easy though. At first I thought randomly flying to EVO on a whim was too much work and not a good idea, but then I thought... I'm working now, I have money, I only have a few vacation days now (not the entire summer) but a million things I want to fit into them still... so I might as well go, it's not like it's an experience I can have anywhere else. I *think* it starts the 9th and ends the 11th, Friday to Sun. I'm gonna fly in Thursday night and check into the hotel, and stay 'til Sunday night or Monday morning then fly back.

My brother wants to play in the SF4 tournament. I would've played in the BlazBlue one but that got dropped. However, CS will still be there as a side event and undoubtedly people will have some CT setups there too. So I can watch my brother play, play BlazBlue with folks and meet some people from DL, watch good matches between some pros and maybe see some of the top tier players too. I had a business trip for Florida set a while back that got canceled, but they let me keep the ticket. So I can re-use that for Las Vegas instead, so it's basically free. And the hotels are discounted at $150 a night, which is pretty sweet considering how ridiculous they are. There's supposed to be HDTVs inside the bathroom.

Well now that we're all talking about oki... when you guys do these moves that hit someone out of a tech roll, does that hit them out of it at any point of the roll, or do you have to time it for a certain point or something? Do you just do the move, and if they roll they automatically get hit by it, or...?

That sounds awesome. Did you get to fight his Hakumen :3 I love matches like that, my hands are shaking afterwards and I can hear my heartbeat bursting in my ears usually if it was that intense. :P I wish I could've seen it. How many did you guys get to play? I was wondering what you do on ranked. :P Whenever I check for five seconds these days there's nobody good on and / or everyone has a blue connection so I imagined you just randomly fighting scrubs and trying to stay awake :P

Wanna play next time I'm on? I want to practice my stick. Although that means you'll kick my ass even more than usual. :P

Added! :D You have now joined TEAM MAC. I haven't really played any Taos in forever. You'll be one of my first. :3
