I noticed we don't have that many character specific combos. I think it would be interesting if we posted some / figured some out. Even if general across-the-board combos work fine, some people might want to go the extra step and learn all the character specific stuff that lets them make the most of their damage. And in some cases, like Carl, you HAVE to have them. I tried playing against Carl for the first time in a long time again yesterday and none of my combos were working so I was reduced to CCCCCCCCCC. What kind of combos can Hakumen do against Carl? All I got is: Renka(1) > Gurren > 6C ^instead of renka(2) And you can't combo off a throw... unless in the corner. Then you can pause then do Renka, etc.

Haha, we're both viewing the Haku v Carl thread.
Well, all of that stuff about Hakumen choosing me and stuff is true. :P I think the main difference between me and most Hakumen is that I use his counters a lot.

NICE! I just got home early from work. I keep seeing you on lately but not on BlazBlue. I'm mainly just playing with my friends though and teaching some of them how to play. THIS SATURDAY IS MY BIRTHDAY I will go back home, and somehow reverse the curse that was placed upon me last time.

Hey soujiro. I didn't know you wanted to play me that bad. :0 Where is all this talk about me happening? :P I'm not that good, really. I'm just OK. You happened to catch me right when I'm in the middle of a weird funk, though. For some reason I can't do any of my combos anymore, I went to sleep Saturday night doing them fine, I woke up Sunday morning and I lost all muscle memory out of the blue. It's like I went back four months. I'm about to throw up my hands and throw my controller through the TV. \O_o/ I have a few ideas of what might be the cause (tv lag, getting used to offline play, needing a new controller) so I'm working my way through it... Oooh, Carl. I haven't played a good Carl since the days I used to play Kyle and IzzyInfamous (4Corners). Should be fun!

Damn. I thought you liked it more than CS when it came out. Is it the new S tier? That there's a lot of loop combos? Even if you don't play CS, you should still hang around here. You're part of the community here.

Ah, a new recruit. You should write your posts a little more clearly, since it's kind of hard to read now, and if people can't read it then you're not going to get as much help as you want. Purple grabs work against inexperienced players, but against good players they'll get broken every time. So, they're unreliable, and will just make you waste the opportunity you got in getting the combo in. Instead of going for something that you'll only get sometimes and almost never VS good players, you can just get guaranteed damage instead by continuing your combo. If you really want to use grabs, then get them legit by green grabs. Get good at airgrabbing people, etc. Even then, though, grabs get broken... it's been a long time since I actually landed a grab on anyone, including green grabs. Which sucks because some of my most damaging combos are off of them. Anyway, if you want to do 5C > 623AA > falling j.C, then learn the j.C loop, it'll let you squeeze as much damage out of each star as you can. If it leads to the corner you can just smash them into jelly against the wall, and it sets up for good resets too.

Oh right, her non-battle form. Doesn't that mean the stomach part has to be open? Where are you going to get a CAPE. And I just noticed Mu has those little head spike things Hakumen has on the sides of his head.

I suspect Lambda and Arakune may go up in the next one, but we'll have to wait and see. I also heard Hakumen became S tier but these are all rumors.

He said GETB, unless I'm reading it wrong. Like, you get knocked down and he tries to 720 you as you get up.

? Why would you get up into a GETB and block? Or 6D? That'll just get you caught into it.

Hey Slayer, how did you get your combo execution down? I recently somehow lost the timing for the j.C loop so I'm trying to do it again, but once again I keep missing that j.C. I can get it about half the time but it's never automatic, gotta think / eye the positioning every time.
