  1. If you 5B CH (or just plain 5B) someone out of the air, is there a good follow up? I haven't experimented yet. Maybe 5C to knock them down if there's time, then 632AA. Or maybe 2C after and j.2C > etc.
  2. If they mash their 2A it CH's you out of Tsubaki ;_; At least hop Tsubaki. Not sure about TK. Also I suppose it depends on the character. I would guess Tao's wouldn't hit, but Nu's 2A does. You have to scare them into not using it.
  3. Gurren? Why not 632AA instead? I laughed at qwerty's post. It's so true. I use 2B more than 5B. Mainly when I notice that they're actually able to block 3C but I still want to poke low at them. It's not as fast though I think since I get CH out of it sometimes if they're mashing, whereas 3C would just eat their move.
  4. Yeah, I can't believe you pulled it off. Good job. Are you gonna ask for critique? I keep trying to record a match with my friend Milldawg who's learning the game since he has trouble handling Ragna's pressure. Basically he just sits there blocking and I just do my blockstrings until he guard breaks, rinse and repeat. Maybe someone here can help him.

  5. I wanna hear qwerty commentateeeeeeeee
  6. URYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  7. Hey Full Auto. What did your friend want to play me for? Not that it was a problem, I was just curious. He was giving me a run for my money a few times.

  8. A vision of the future :eng101:

  9. Wait, barrier pushes you back even if you're doing a ranged attack? O_o Geez, I never knew that. I'm not that good at IB. :vbang: It's a work in progress though. I still IB a lot of Nu's swords, but it's more by accident. Like I'll just try to block and it'll end up being an IB. I tend to just get by on predicting my opponent's behavior, waiting for an opportunity, and my counters. There have been so many games where I was at like 1% life and got a counter and won. I'll try to condition them to throw a sword I want so I can get in. Haku's blockstrings are kind of easy for Nu to backdash out of, it makes it hard to keep her pinned down for any long period of time :vbang:, seems like the best way to get damage is CH.

  10. And yeah, I've been CH out of trying to Kishuu between the j.DD's before, but other times I'll land an Enma. Although you can't really follow up with a combo from that since it launches her so high she can tech before you can do a falling j.C :P Maybe just jumping after that and doing j.2C > IAD j.C would work though.

  11. Interesting. Neat advice. I'll try it out! As far as just blocking the airborne pressure, what's the stop them from backing off and just doing it as much as they want?

  12. Oh, actually, that does happen too. Sometimes it's a low from 3C, sometimes it's a fake crescent then a run in and grab, or it's a real crescent. There's like five layers in there. :P I didn't think of just jumping back and barrier blocking though. That seems kinda... like a last resort though. I'd rather just try to figure out how to beat it instead of put off the problem, so to speak, since it wouldn't let me turn the momentum around. I do 6D if I think it's going to be a real Crescent, but if it's fake I get owned.

  13. Hm, maybe I'll have to upload a video to show you what I'm talking about. Between that and j.DD > Fake Crescent > j.DD > Real Crescent Nu can generate a lot of pressure that basically locks Haku down and which he seems unable to punish. Sometimes I can Kishuu > Enma between the j.DD swords but not always.

  14. Hey qwerty, got any ideas what Haku can do if Nu rushes in with (maybe 2A) > 2B > 2C > TK Crescent / Fake Crescent > more mixup? I tried 5A'ing the Crescent, she's too far. I noticed 5B can hit her but sometimes I get CH out of it first. Is there something you know that would beat it clean? My other idea is to just try and counter the 2B or something.

  15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xr679uBtNPA&feature=related Check this match out. The positioning on both sides is pretty intense.
  16. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xr679uBtNPA&feature=related This match is pretty neat. A lot more positioning it seems on both sides.
  17. I actually have an easier time beating rush down Rachels... it's funny because the ones that rush down have to coordinate all this stuff and it seems to take a lot more skill, but then they can just go spam lobelias and it becomes hell, but that seems a lot easier.
  18. lool Rachel can take off like 50% of Hakumen's life with just one BBL, more if you have rods. And don't get me started on CH fork > winded into the corner damage.
  19. Also as far as EVO goes, the plan is to fly in Thursday night. I'll talk to my boss this Monday when we meet to make sure I have free time then.

  20. I wanted to see your Akuma VS my brother's Bison. How'd you like playing with him?

  21. Hey Prototype, you been playing SSF4 a lot? We'll get some games in soon. I've just been goofing around with my brother and Keir Tendril for the most part, so don't expect a challenge. :P

  22. Man, I was gonna play a few games with my friend but it turned into 20. Did you keep playing after I left?

  23. I was thinking of taking a break since I've gotten worse and what I hate is not only not improving but making REVERSE progress. But wow, you pretty much pinpointed exactly what I feel like my problem is. I definitely backslided in some areas and I forgot some things I used to do in certain situations... like I can REMEMBER doing things but it's like something on the tip of your tongue that you can't grasp. I had Jin's pressure all figured out but now I'm back to the stage where I just get pushed into the corner and raped until I'm dead. How do you guys train yourselves to do things? For instance, I used to 6A any jump ins on reaction every time, but now I just watch them come at me and don't do anything. I'm like, "Oh, they're IAD'ing at me. Isn't there a move I should do? ... ... Oh, 6A. But they might be distancing themselves far enough to punish me for a whiffed attempt, maybe I should just block," and then by the time I go through all that they're already all over me. Training mode doesn't work per se since it's different when I'm just expecting them to jump in on a repeated basis... I guess I just have to grind out a ton of matches until I can reclaim lost ground.
