  10. Stealth Tager sounds amazing. I was always going to ask to play eventually. We have to pick up where we left off for old time's sake.
  11. Adventus, we should play at some point. I want to see what your Haku is like.
  12. my condolences to your tv
  13. His Haku was always pretty good, and aggressive to boot.
  14. Attack On Tager
  15. did we play recently :3
  16. So you think Hakumen is a disadvantage still? What about just zoning him out?
  17. That reminds me of Tectal's comments from his YT uploads of our matches in Extend. "GOTTA MAKE HIM BLOCK" Nope stay mad. Yup I'm more comfortable on 360 pad. The 360 dpad is actually an analog stick with a pad on top, so while it might not be as precise as a real dpad, it at least lets you get diagonal inputs easier than the ps3 dpad.
  18. You build up fundamentals by just playing matches and then reflecting on what you could have done better. When you get hit by something, was there something else you could've done to avoid that? Make a mental note. Research and experiment with different situations to see if some move you hadn't considered is the answer. Actually, defense works the same way. You have to play with a clear presence of mind that deliberately takes action instead of going into a mashing frenzy that only clears after the match is over, only for you to not even remember what happened during it. That's something that's easier to do the more you play and more familiar you become with the game, as you'll start recognizing situations easier that baffled you before and be able to think more clearly.
  19. Every character has a personal space that they have an advantage in depending on the situation. In neutral, for instance, you have a radius around your character where they have a sweet spot for all their moves, and as long as you maintain this sweet spot you can dominate the opponent. Your job is to hold on to that like it's a piece of territory and make the other player fight tooth and nail to gain any ground. If you don't you're just letting them get in for free. It's the same for oki. When you knock someone down, they're at a solid disadvantage and are supposed to have to fight their way back out of a hole to get on even ground with you again. If you don't take advantage of that you're just letting them escape without breaking a sweat. Once you knock them down, it should be blood in the water, go-in-for-the-kill time.
  20. ^I'll play with you. I'm not a Jin main though, but basics are universal. I also had to move over from 360. As for execution, it's like learning an instrument. You have to practice until you can do it off muscle memory. Having the knowledge that you can do the move you want when you want will give you more confidence to play better. When you're not sure if your move is going to come out either because of a controller or lack of practice, it can affect how you play and make you hesitate. That moment of hesitation can decide matches.
  21. Yeah, you need a fresh input for the game to register it as another jump.
  22. What did I do? And my stick would still be collecting dust too, if it wasn't for CP being PS3 only. PS3 pad was making blood shoot out of my eyes. I'm not as good on stick as I was on 360 pad or even ps3 pad, but I don't spend every match feeling like I'm fighting the controller instead of the other player anymore.
  23. I'll just move over anything good. The matchup is 5-5 that's more like 7-3 to whoever has the advantage. Your first aim should be to get in on her so you can apply pressure. Be on the lookout for her 5D and 6Ds. When they whiff, you have a chance to close the distance with either Kishuu, hop, or Gurren. If you really make a good read on her 5D you can IAD over it as well. Be careful about 6D because it can hit Haku standing when you get close enough. For the most part you should focus on a ground approach. Jumping gives her time to lock you down in the air andwaste time, or even worse run under you and get to the other side of the screen. If she gets sloppy with her swords, you can punish her with Shippu's projectile wave. Be aware of her two different modes and what her options are in them so you can act accordingly with her. For instance, she only has her overhead super in Luna form (and it's not an overhead in OD). So if she's in Dia mode you can be more aggressive with your approach since you don't need to worry about that. Here are her attacks, with the different properties listed: http://www.dustloop.com/wiki/index.php?title=Nu-13_(BBCP) When you get into about starting match range it's a guessing game. Both of you have options that beat the other and you'll have to rely on good reads. Once you get near her, you have to make the most of your opportunity; chances are you won't get another shot against a good Nu. The instant you land a solid hit, pop your OD and get in as much damage as possible, then stay on top of her as best you can. Don't be afraid to use OD to stop the timer if things get dragged out long enough. As for Agito, it mainly has a use as a combo ender and an approach tool. Also an anti-anti-air. There are also some oki setups with it, but those don't get used much.
  24. Nobody ever thought Carl was bad in CP. Except for during CP1.0 loketests.
  25. Play Ctrl if you want to play Tager.
