Hi Beast, been a long time, I started playing this game seriously recently, and id have to agree with just about everything you said, while learning something at the same time, Im looking forward to being decent at this game. So was wondering if you could direct me to some literature on bloodkain and what I should be doing with it, I know he has some loops and stuff, but I noticed Pozer did not really utilize bloodkain at SBO quals. Does he favor the meter for Rapid over Bloodkain? And im not trying to hijack the thread.

Yea my bad, theres a tournament local to here coming soon, im gonna try and start playing again, I kind of stopped playing though for my own good, my job is pretty demanding. But I am seriously considering making time for Fighting Games again, I miss the traveling and seeing the friendly faces. And all the competition.

What if you brought your own TV? still disallowed?

In my testing for a lag free enviroment I discovered that my adaptor is not lag free either. So I had to test with a ps3 controller. So looks like my adaptor wont help either of us Faulty. Im contemplating buying a HRAP3 for ps3

I know someone with two large CRT's they are willing to part with for 50$ a piece. He was the owner of stargate arcade if your ever heard of it. And I went home and tested the game both in progressive scan mode and just letting the PS3 do the scaling for us, and there was still lag. Could be the TV I am using, but almost no lag is not enough for any serious fighting game tournament, I appreiciate that you are trying to fuel the community and run tournaments. But im afraid it might jsut not be worth it. Unless you really have zero lag. I know one person who knows how to get zero lag, Fubarduck. But it takes some external hardware. If your intrested in the 2 cheap CRT's let me know. There in good condition.

He says he can only run it on PS3 because it will eliminate video lag on the LCD screens they are running. So if you do not have a PS3 stick you will need a adaptor. i only have one, but i will let you borrow it if were not playing eachother that is. PS: I will be at this tournament. I am going to test today to see this PS3 really can eliminate video lag for the scaling device.

This is true, but what I think this tourny proves is people still want to play GG. IMO its better than blazblue. But im sure others would disagree. Wish they could make a new GG and breath new life into the game. edit: lol i have not played in so long that my signature still has my money matches lined up for FRXI haha.

I should of never stopped playing, sounds like too much hype went on. I last visited this site on 11-24-2008. If guilty gear is still in the mix next year id like to go. but thats 51 weeks from now, so we will see.

It mostly does not work on your heavy characters, also stop playing reload. your two games behind.

i only read nives post, but he pretty much nailed it, also if you suspect a wake up exe or predict it at all you can run in during the start up frames and grab testament, but its purely prediction. also if theres a tree between you and testament 6.HS is a great poke. and it does not activate the tree, gives the testament a false sense of security having that tree there so he does not expect a good poke across it. and if he exebeast while your doing it you will get a counter hit, just BB over the exe. although a random gravedigger will be bad for you.

sorry to question you, i did a five hit SW combo against kensou last night, and got the br and no gray beat. so it works against chipp. it just depends on the hits.

2D, GF, Fafnir, dash 2H, j.D, SW, nj.S, SW, nj.S, SW, j.S, SW, nj.S, SW, BR = 290 im almost positive this is techable forward or back tech. you can get the 5 SWs but its either really hard to get the BR or you do not get it. but i have not tried this one myself so maybe. i usually stop at four SW to gureentee a knock down. i mean maybe you can hit it. but im not sure how often someone will get the BR, im sure the timing will be strict. and proximity to the corrner could be a factor. in any case good job on creating a comprehensible combo list for aspiring sol players.
