  1. yeah basically 5A is 6 startup, 3 active, and 9 recovery, so 18 frames total so you want to hit 5B on frames 7-9(you can hit it early due to 5f buffer) and you want to hit 5C on frame 15-19(because of 5F buffer, inputting 5C on frame 15-18 will cause it to come out on frame 19, which is the frame where you finish recovering from 5A) so yeah should be a pretty simple piano, don't need to do a fancy 1f slide from B~C like in melty AGAIN THIS IS THEORY I CAN'T TEST THIS fuk dlc in depth frame by frame to make sure there is no confusion frame 0: 5A is input frame 1-6: 5A startup frame 7-9: 5A active, input 5B during this time frame 10-14: 5A recovery, unable to input 5C(too early) frame 15-18: 5A recovery, can buffer 5C frame 19: return to neutral, can start 5C the idea is: if 5A is blocked, 5B comes out if 5A whiffs(due to teleport), 5C comes out and hits FC there is no frame data on the wiki for her(fuck dlc) otherwise this would be easy to say "yeah it works" so i need someone to test it ty ty
  2. BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE you should be able to use a melty blood technique where you would input 5ABC on her wakeup. 5A would come out first(obviously) if 5A hits, you'd get 5B on the cancel frame. if 5A whiffs(due to teleport), you'd get 5C when it recovers(in MB you'd be doing this on the 5a whiff cancel frame) which would punish the teleport video of the match where I did 5A whiff 5C and fatal'd a teleport http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYczdPI0r-k&t=1m10s I don't do DLC so someone else would need to test this and see if it can be input this way(as an option select) or needs to be done on reaction. Obviously you wouldn't go attempting to 5A her wakeup if she has meter to superball you.
  3. there is no such move that can be done after 6A her wallstick move is done by pressing the D button after landing a D move and having level 2 heat. the 236D followup is done after performing her 41236C dashing command grab move, and causes a wallbounce. it is impossible to do after 6A as it's a followup to the dash grab, not a standalone move. other followup moves: 22D(after 623B) - optionally throws them behind her, mainly just does additional damage 623D(after 623C) - turns around in the air, switching sides, and bounces the opponent off the ground 720D(after 720A) - throws the opponent up in the air D(after 5D/jD/2D/6D) - throws the opponent against the wall, causing wallbounce at level 1 and wallstick at level 2. this is why you did nothing after 6A - you were trying to input a special followup.
  4. I'm not sure what move 236D is on bullet. 6A gatlings into 5C, which is +0 on block and goes into 6C, 2C, and 3C, along with all your D moves and specials. 6A itself is cancelable into specials, though none of them are super good on block. I'm not really sure what you mean by limited options since you just 6A 5C into your normal blockstring pressure.
  5. see i still don't understand this let's divide the listed expenses into two separate categories: 1. investments made specifically to play BBCP 2. general investments made to play buying a PS3 and everything else required to play it is a general investment. buying a fightstick is a general investment buying BBCP itself is a specific investment travel fees may or may not be a general investment - depending on what games you play when you get there entry fees are a specific investment let's remove all general investments from the table because these are not made directly to play bbcp and it's silly to include them. So we have the cost of the game, and the cost of entry fees, and potentially the cost of travel, assuming I'm traveling to ONLY play bbcp and not do other things, like bitch about whatever overhyped thing capcom recently produced or set up my laptop in a visible place and see if people will come forward and play blitzkampf with me, or whatever else I want to do at tournaments. Now see, all of these things that are specific investments are about playing the game. You're asking me "why do you find it stupid that you have to pay money in order to lab against these characters?" and I'm sitting here wondering how anyone DOESN'T. If someone made that was free and you had to pay 3-5 bucks to unlock each character, allowing people to only unlock the ones they want, I'm pretty sure there would be a lot of public outcry. Especially when it comes down to character specific combos and setups that you can't test against everyone without paying for everyone. This is an extreme case of the same thing you are telling me is perfectly acceptable. I don't understand HOW it is acceptable or why the community goes along with it. It just doesn't make sense to me. I mean maybe I'm just a bratty kid who doesn't remember shoving quarters into a machine every time I wanted to try a new combo but something about this seems bullshit to me. then why was there a discussion on the banning of kokonoe in the first place? It seems the community is divided on an issue. I'm saying if we are discussing the potential banning on a character, we should take the time to look at some related issues.
  6. i fail to see why i would pay money for 2 characters that I don't want to play. When I travel to a tournament, I do it for me. I do it to have a fun day out with [possibly] cool people so I don't have to sit at home all day. I do it to socialize, play people offline, and a variety of other reasons. All of these are FOR ME. I'm not going to pay money to a third party overseas company to buy jp psn cards because the community tells me to lab against kokonoe or find people online who will sit down and let me practice on them. If i were to do that, I'd being doing it FOR YOU. Because YOU tell me I have to. I gain no enjoyment out of paying 200% face value for a character I won't even play. No I'm sorry I don't understand the thought process where this is alright.
  7. yes and I'm saying that's bullshit that's stupid the community is stupid for doing that. i don't care about unlocks, whatever. dlc characters should be banned for the reasons I stated back in post #57 "the community accepted it" well isn't kokonoe currently accepted? aren't we talking about changing what is currently accepted?
  8. i'm not paying extra money for a character I have no intention of playing simply so I can learn to fight them, hence I need someone else to do it for me. hence ban dlc characters
  9. i actually do that one time this guy picked hazama and taught me that even if you bait his faggot faggot kick thing you can never punish it ever i cried a lot that day and kept playing him my pet peeve is that i'm bad at this game
  10. ok but seriously i find it annoying when the other guy manages to read my mind and learns that I don't know how to approach so they just sit there and like 5B/6A me whenever i walk/jump at them forever it makes me cry irl
  11. provide me with a kokonoe player who will sit there in free training mode online and do whatever I tell them too, and I will. otherwise please ban dlc characters. not for being broken but for being dlc characters
  12. my pet peeve is when I don't win for some reason it happens all the time
  13. You input 214D
  14. i'm sick of playing jin. I wish i was a good player.
  15. depends entirely on spacing.
  16. ggs to zyxlolz or whatever, I don't think anyone has made me hate this game so much.
  17. i will play all 3 positions for my team, i can play 3 characters equally badly so I can just be 3 people right
  18. i want to thank you for everything you are doing for the community.
  19. i have a lot of experience cupping balls in my hand
  20. I sent fuji a message on skype and he didn't respond. He may still be traveling or whatever he was doing before. nemisis never accepted my psn contact request, I assume I'm just not good enough to be friends with him.
  21. she's like 60 dude u like grandma no srs they took away all of nu's defensive options and she's still perfectly fine lol
  22. oh hi since I made my actual serious post on the subject can someone explain to me why kokonoe doesn't have SMP on any of her moves aside the dumb punch/grab thing which she gets a dumb reset off of when she activate the SMP, and why she gets to do it 3 times before SMP because the two different versions count as different moves? like srs I can't do 22C more than twice in a combo as jin but kokonoe gets to do a combo where she drops 5 lightning pillars or does 6 wallslams with her jumping hammer move wtf guys come on
  23. The tradition of banning console exclusive characters exists for good reason. I'd greatly prefer we keep it that way. Especially in regards to DLC characters. Back in CS, i went to a tournament. I played strictly on XBL back then, and the tournament was, of course, run on PS3. Which meant I had to go up against wolfman. A character that not only I didn't have, but I was completely unable to have played against due to the circumstances at the time. Not fun! Obviously that same situation isn't happening again, but when it comes to DLC characters, there are people who cannot lab against them because they don't have them. Someone tells me certain bullet relaunches don't work on Terumi and Hazama. I try the ones I use on hazama and see they work fine. I can't try them against terumi. Real suck. I can't lab against kokonoe to find and practice good punishes to her teleport or superball. Not without paying the DLC cost, which in the current state of things would require paying extra in order to get PSN point codes from third party websites. I don't even want to play these characters, I just want to practice against them. I shouldn't have to do that. Putting up with them on netplay is one thing, but when I think about going to tournaments and that these characters are allowed, I sort of don't want to do it. I'm a little bitch, yes, but regardless of how stupid the character is, or what answers may or may not exist for her, I simply cannot practice them on my own time without having to pay extra. Allowing these characters like this is stupid for this reason, not for whatever balance reasons exist. Back in the days of Soul Calibur 2, the console exclusive characters were banned for the same reason - people didn't know what they did unless they owned all copies of the game across all 3 systems. Which was a dumb expectation. I see no reason why we should allow them now, because if you want to be fully prepared for these characters, you're going to have to pay up in order to unlock them. I don't think a player community should support that kind of thing. At all. It's dumb. If I wanted that shit I'd be playing shitty online p2w games.
  24. the best approach is 214D
  25. this nerdlord can backdash out of your safejump and it's really annoying. if they like to backdash you can jump and then do jD and it will catch them out of backdash. This is actually like your only option against wakeup backdash beause it's stupid fast and really annoying and oh god I hate this character why does he exist he keeps hitting me with rocks and I can't do anything. never block against him he will win if you block instead just block once or twice and then mash DP because if you just mash DP normally you will never hit him because he is safe from DP so since he is safe from DP you just need to DP him ok it's really good.
