  4. Pick up opponents that don't emergency tech after 623C~D/2D LV1/Infinite Rush/etc. with 2B. It's a "mix-up" since they have to guess between emergency teching and dealing with oki or a setup, or not teching and eating a particle flare for 1240 extra damage. It's a great way to immediately close out the round after a big corner combo. Also, you can jump towards them like you're going to do an air overhead, but land and do 2B instead. Works like a charm. 214ACB is a super bad mix-up, don't use it without meter ever. Even then, I tend to use 214ACA more. For some reason people rarely stop blocking low, and it has 100% P1 proration for amazing damage.
  5. her gatlings into 6A are 5B, 5BB and 2B. They don't have a lot of block stun so, if you learn the rhythm for her gatlings then it's really easy to mash out of it without getting frame trapped. her 6A is pretty bad.

  8. Ending a combo with 2D LV1 sets up a safe jump vs. most character's DP's if they emergency tech. It can also set up an ambiguous airdash jC/landing 2B mixup. 2D LV1 leaves Makoto at significantly more advantage than other enders.

I honestly think the main reason there were so few entrants was because Extend had the worst release date ever, gamestop didn't have a clue what was going on and people that ordered from amazon didn't get their copy until week later. I still don't have the copy I ordered from amazon, I got lucky and found a gamestop with a dude that loves fighting games and explicitly preordered blazblue. It was pretty depressing hype deflation. Combined with the whole, ZOMG ONLY 1 NEW CHARACTER WHAT A RIPOFF???!! bs from the haters, it ensured a bad release. Blazblue Extend is one of the best and most balanced games out right now. Wonderful irony.
  10. It is extremely hard to time and pretty much doesn't work if you used an A attack or 2B in the first part. I just don't even try to follow up with 2C any more, it's way too difficult and unreliable. I finally finished updating information about all of Makoto's normals on the wiki... not looking forward to continuing, she has so much crap

  15. as a makoto player, he uses his pokes well in spacing and block string pressure. 4D is retarded against Makoto but I'm very good at punishing 2D. I could be thinking of the wrong noel though.
  16. Sckyre has played noel for so long and is still terrible lol. DualSeeker is really good though. He made me realize how little I understand about the match-up.

The safe jump option select did occur to me a few moments ago, not sure why I didn't think of it. jC ~ 2B > 5B, if jC whiffs then it's because of 4D so 2B should hit it and both will get hit confirmed. I'm also thinking that moves with a lot of active frames would hit both when timed correctly, like 5C and 6C. BTW, how do you combo out of CH 6C?
  18. what's the best way of dealing with Noel's retarded 4D? That shit is so annoying. Punishing 2D is easy enough, I just use 2A which will recover if it whiffs on it and then punish it on block. You can't do that to 4D. Using moves to specifically hit 4D will get punished by 2D and I can't find any decent moves that will punish both, so AFAIK she puts makoto into this bullshit mix-up every time she gets knocked down. Please tell me I'm wrong.

  20. well there are quite a few people coming over to my house to play blaz on thursday (I think 6 so far) and I live 15-20 minutes from the venue. LMK if any of yall would be interested in visiting and I'll pm my address.
  21. I used to live really close to that area, but I live in a house at peachtree corners now which is much farther.
  22. For the most part general BNBs still work on them, except the 5D > 5B > 6A > 2D one. So they don't need to be altered at all until the end of the combo. In this case the most high damaging ender is 2B > 5B > 6A > air combo and still allows for some okayish oki. It won't work if the combo has been worked up very high, in which case you should go for alternate enders like 2D LV1, 6B, straight up meaty orb, etc.
  23. So... did anyone else never notice that whenever the timer counts down to a number ending in 0, it does a little flip? My mind was blown when a friend pointed that out to me a few days ago.

Ragna is ridiculous to deal with online, his combos and spacing vs. makoto are easy as hell and makoto players NEED to rely on reactions to evenly compete against him and punish whiffed normals. Lag makes that impossible. Online play makes the match-up look a lot worse than it really is. Patience, dash barrier block and dash 2A/5B. She has some risky approach tools like 3C and 214B/C > jA so she can barrier, but for the most part she relies on fundamentals.
