Exactly, and that's why you mess up so much. It looks like your'e in such a hurry, even when doing combos like j.C > j.2C > dj.C > j.2C you let the j.C only hit once when it can hit 8 times for significantly more damage. Anyway, some point of advice: - Zone more, less rushdown ESPECIALLY against Hakumen, Let him come to you. Don't forget the he must come to you, he has no other way of inflicting damage (and that applies to most characters in the game). - Take your time, I saw so many failed TK's and combos just because you input things so fast. - 2C and 2DD as anti-airs for 5000-6500 damage combos. - DO NOT DO 214D FROM POINT BLANK! - You abuse 5D too much against Hakumen, since his most reliable way of getting closer is from the air, you should switch to 6D and 2D. - In the air you do j.DD > dj.DD > j.214D, start using j.DD > dj.2DD > j.214D, the 2DD gets the opponent closer so you won't up as much. - The game is out for so long and your'e still doing Throw > 5DD? Nu's so ridiculously easy and you should really learn her best combos..

Not from Japan but I guess it's the right place to post it. Some casual matches we had (I'm Fu3L btw) Fu3L (Λ-11) VS Novril (BA) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLpE2pWNDUQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sz1u9a-DXp0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DP4rzLT96EM Fu3L (Λ-11) VS Darksoul173 (HZ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YYRT4TTZZ4

Since you do 214A after his 720, his invincibility overlaps with yours and because you went second yours wins (you'll first be pulled a little towards him as you're already magnetized, and that only helps the combo ). I already did it many times.
-
After Gadget Finger: - j.B beats the shit out of Tager if he doesn't do AC fast enough. - Backdash if he doesn't have meter. - If he's going for 360/720, or any other standing attack, go for 214A and have your nice 3000 damage combo. But yeah it's a guessing game, nothing much to do in that department.

The corner loop is hard, it has strict timing on the TK after 6A and the new hight limitation is contradicting some old CT habits... Worth the effort though. @No Limitz This combo only connect after CH 236B (no need for 5A either, Dash 6A works), if you saw it connect in some matches it's only because the other player didn't tech it on time. Also CH 236B > 5DD > stuff connects. Go for loop when in the corner.
-
It's all about the timing of the TK j.214D

1. Do it 2. Don't screw up 3. It does, play with a stick About Goryus, and I hope it doesn't sound cocky or something, but let's say you put him against a player of same skill and play style, only that player knows the best possible combos, it's like one player could finish a fight with 4 combos while the other will finish it with 2, even if they read each other perfectly and get the same opportunities for damage, the player with the better combos will have better chances at winning. Furthermore, give me one good reason as why to play a simple Nu as opposed to a "harder" and much better one. I guess in a middle of an important tournament it's understandable but then again if you want to win a tournament the first thing you want do to is optimize your play style and learn to deal with pressure while making the best combos you defult ones.

I stopped playing online for those exact reasons. Luckily for me I have people to play with offline. Well anyway, if the lag prevents you from doing the best combo at least go for the second best (and I've seen only one player in here doing it constantly, we do play offline tough..) wich is: CH 2C > 6C > Dash > 2DD > Neutral j.C > j.2C > Land > 2DD > Neutral j.2C > 7j.DD > j.214D for 5k damage. I've learned Nu's best combos from the thread and I use them all the time, and bealive me they are NOT hard, yet I've only seen one user from Dustloop using them. You said you'd rather do the the easier combo over the not so hard and much more damaging one because of online play, I guess you live in the US(?) or rather you play mostly with people who has a good connection, so is the lag really that bad that it's preventing you from something so simple yet so rewarding? I live in Israel and outside of local connections the best I can get is Europe, and I can still pull all the combos. I don't think it has nothing to do with me being better then someone, it's about players who won't take the risk to go online for what, 20-30 matches? and learn how to pull off a combo, it's really not a big deal and I've seen a video of Andy6000 (I think) pulling them off in training mode yet when I saw him play he didn't even try to use them, and I'm sure anyone here can pull those off in training mode without too much trouble, so with a little practice online won't be a big deal.

What is this blasphemy, only 4200-4500 from CH 2C? Shame on you.
-
So practice on the timing until you find the right spot for the C attacks wich will make you land and continue the combo.
-
You forgot about the 2DD there.
-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IL5jL-ln6w0 Time the jump so that you'll hit the opponent at the highest point in the air, the hit C. When Nu starts falling do 2C and land, do 2DD and immediatly after do j.2C so that it will climb, wich means you need to do something like 2DD > 82C so it'll come out as soon as possible. After the second 2C stops climbing, jump backwards (hence 7j) and do j.DD > j.214D It takes nothing but practice, tough it's really easy once you get the timing.

RC > Dash > 6C after 5DD or 5DD > 4DD is harder then doing it off a 3C or 2C > 6C, the input window is much smaller for some reason but it's far from impossbile, the trick is (for all the variations) to buffer the dash, meaning 6 > RC > 6, doing that will make the dash come out instantaneously after the RC.
-
Wait until the throw animation ends and then dash, its a small yet relatively large window to do it. Non CH 2C > 6C is a rare thing to come by, people won't fall for a random 2C, and anyway you WILL intend it to be a CH as much a possible, its her best attack. The best situations for RC > Dash > 6C are probably off a 3C > 236D > RC..... or 5DD > (4DD) > 236D > RC.... to sum it up, whenever you hit with a ground 236D (or 236D~C) and have meter, do the RC > Dash > 6C for optimal damage.
-
I kinda summed it all up in here http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showpost.php?p=469545&postcount=151

Was that being cynical or something? totally ignoring the rest of my post :P

Well for startes its not doing more damage because you're doing the weak combos only from various different launchers. "Standart drive combo" as in DDDDDDDDDD? that's horribly useless compared to her real damaging combos wich will connect from the exact same launchers and situations. Even the second combo you wrote, while better, is still inferior. For example, to - CH 2147D > 6C > Dash > 2DD > Neutral j.C > j.2C > Land > 2DD > Neutral j.2C > 7j.DD > j.214D wich will do about 5000 damage, as opposed to ~3500-4000(?) from the combo you just mentioned. I already said it somewhere but again, Nu is NOT a hard character to play, even her hard combos are easy compared to some other characters, her hardest combo took me about two days to fully master (7500 meterless CH 2C combo). Once you learn her 2-3 best combos you'll notice you wont use anything else (except for character specific and thats only reffering to Bang, Rachel and Tager with the corner relaunches), all the launchers lead to them wich makes any inferior weaker combos totally useless.
-
Spacing is ~2 Backdashes from point blank or one backdash from starting position, that combo's really easy as you just need to pay attention to where you stand. Oh and by the way its 5DD > 4DD since 4DD gets them closer as opposed to 5DD wich only makes them go further thus making you miss the jump. Wich ones?
-
It does work on all the cast, that's one of the reasons I said that the CH 2C should only hit 6 times. It's also a bit harder from point-blank so try to land the CH 2C a little further from your opponent. And don't bother with super jumping it probably wont work.
-
Yeah it's a known combo since that combo vid posted by HaruShinobi on youtube (I think the player was Ribaia), IMO it's by far her best combo even more so since CH 2C is something you see quite alot. Don't forget that even when you're not near a corner it's an excellent setup for RC > Land > Dash > 6C... wich still gives you about 7.5K Damage. And nothing's wrong with your execution, maybe you could have got one or two more hits but it's barely noticable damage-wise. There's nothing to work on with Tager, on Bang, Tager and Rachel it's the same because you can relaunch them near a corner. Oh, it's also important to mention that more than 6 hits on the CH 2C will almost always fail, since then it requires a specific distance from the other character, 6 hits will work from anywhere. The only question is if you can exeucute it during a match :P
-
Yeah your'e right, but its only because I recorded from a certian distance and then played it from a different one, thats why it messed up the combo. When I do it manually it works fine.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkHzS6fLAtM 5DD > 4DD > IAD > j.B > j.C > Dash > 3C > 214A > 2C > j.DD > j.214D > Land > Dash > 3C > 236D (~3600 Damage) Better version: 5DD > 4DD > IAD > j.B > j.C > Dash > 3C > 214A > 2C > j.DD > dj.2DD > j.214D > Land > Dash > 3C > 236D (~4000 Damage)
-
Don't ever try getting all 8 hits, the first 2C should be maximun 6 hits. Try it and you'll do the combo easily, the sacrifice in damage for those 2 hits isn't significant. This stands true for all CH 2C combos as those extra 2 hits will make the opponent go too high and your chances of success will really sink.
-
I guess you already noticed that all the CH 2C combos range from 4500 to 5000 damage, excluding Dash > j.C but without the corner its still ~4500. I personally think that for another 500 damage I'd rather do a much harder combo, and lets face it, Nu's combos are easy. It's just like with the throw combos, one does 3333 and the other (Dash > 2C > 6C) does about 3700, I haven't used the 3333 combo since the first week I played. Of course there's the chance you'll drop the harder combo but I think that if your'e trying to max out youre game thats a risk you should take. Well, anyway, since that Dash > j.C combo came out its the only thing i do from CH 2C no matter where I am positioned, it's base 4500 damage, 6500 if I have meter and 6500 meterless if I get to the corner, its BY FAAAAARRRRR the best CH 2C combo no matter how you lokk at it, and even that combo's not so hard when you nail the dash jump. I still use N.j combo just not from CH 2C as you can get it to connect from like a thousand different launchers and situations (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IL5jL-ln6w0). And no offense taken
-
As I said it does about 4500 to 5000 damage, it depends on the hit count of the C moves and since most of the time you won't be in the perfect position for all of them to hit it will usually do 4700-4800damage, a happy medium. I never tried that 2DD > AP > 2DD, but it sounds kinda unstable, and I guess it wont work near the corner(?), the N.j combo does.
