  1. http://blazblue.jp/cp/update110.html anyone care to translate?
  2. The only thing Tager needs is a workable anti-air normal. Actually, all characters do.
  3. definitely looks like it
  4. On the flipside though, that Kokonoe player seemed like he didn't know the Izayoi matchup at all. He was getting hit by every gimmick possible and not punishing unsafe teleports. He kept trying to rush in all the time when it should be Izayoi's game to get through Kononoe's zoning.
  5. Bottom tier vs god tier first to 10 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm22857305 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm22857656 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm22857917 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm22858265 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm22858624 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm22859422
  6. Because a community thrives on numbers. This is why online communities never work, there is no sense of ownership. If people have to split days some parts of the community will never see each other, and I can't see that being a good thing.
  7. I think this is the best way to erode a community. If we were to get something running like MTLSF had with the HQ(which was, imo, a much better place to play games), we could have our weekly meetups over there with all the space and setups necessary for the size of our community and do the bigger events at foonzo, as long as they're interested in having us. If you've got 6+ setups running with everyone playing at once, it lets a community become much stronger a lot faster. It would probably be cheaper per month than what our community pays as a whole at foonzo.
  8. If you all go read my posts from last week, this just confirms pretty much everything I've already said. We WILL eventually get pushed out, simply by the fact that the place had a change of orientation and doesn't really cater to the video game crowd anymore and that we are not bringing in enough money. When I said that we need to START looking for another place, it was in prevision of this. And when I said I was surprised they replaced the defective monitor, I still am. I don't know, in that mindset, why you would invest money for a crowd that essentially are making you lose money. I'm not angry at foonzo or their staff, we're just a victim of their success, which we helped them build. I'm sure they feel somewhat indebted towards us since who knows if they would still be in business if we hadn't been a concrete steady income for almost 3 years, which leads to the special treatment we have now. I think it's just time to look for ways to cut our ties before it gets to a point where they just can't justify any reason to let us do what we do anymore.

  10. Actually, now that I think about it, a stockless Trans Am would be quite an incredible tool for getting in. For example, it would allow you to make the bits activate in mid-air for a jump-in and have them attack while coming down and guarding, forcing a block or beating anti-airs and reversals clean. It would solve many of her problems, considering she has hurtboxes on basically every part of every normal she has. Also, I really don't think she needs a meterless reversal. Actually, the less characters have one, the better off the game will be.
  11. here are the changes up 'till now -her BnBs were sort of hard, so they’ve added more cancels and made the revolver actions connect easier. -More differences between her modes. -Gain Art mode’s “Hover Dash” can now be used in air. Movement is reverse from the ground version (from high to the ground) and stick can be used to control its movement. -Aerial backstep also changed to the same as her ground backstep, where she floats diagonally backwards -Sonic Saber now costs 2 blocks (previously 1) -Mirage Thruster now costs 1 block (previously 2) -Combining new hover dash and Mirage Thruster creates interesting movement Now, this is all fine and dandy, but it seems that everything here is made to make her mixup better, but her mixup is really great and in no need of buffs. Her main problem is actually getting in and keeping them locked down after a knockdown. Of all the new things listed, -maybe- the new controllable air dash will help with getting in, but all of those don't really address her most glaring weak points, which is her neutral game, in which you always have to keep guessing what your opponent will try to do and take chances, most of her stuff can't be done on reaction unless they're being really obvious. Her teleports also really need to be faster. And what's up with that D sonic saber nerf? I hope that's not the complete/final changes list.
  12. How does this relate to the invul frames column in the frame data for mirage thrusters? http://www.dustloop.com/wiki/index.php?title=Izayoi_Frame_Data_%28BBCP%29
  13. Actually, 214a and 214b lets you cancel the recovery in any normal or special early compared to other actions, what's weird with 214c is that it does let you cancel its recovery in any special other than sonic saber(maybe normals too? not sure). Why can't you cancel it into sonic saber? Could've been useful. What would also be useful is having the correct frame data about this, saying at what frame of recovery from teleports you can start canceling them.
  14. make one
  15. you can clearly see one at 0:42 in here : https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10152230577754587 But if you ask me, any sort of freeze is bad, it breaks the flow of the game which, flow, is one of Guilty Gear's strongest assets. Especially during blockstrings and combos, that stuff is just jarring considering how many times you'll do a cancel in a match, added to the fact that it destroys the mixup mindgames. Danger Time freeze time is way too long, but the mechanic itself is quite interesting I think, adding a new layer to the clash system. It's got potential.
  16. Yeah, the game feels kinda sluggish, at first I was wondering if it was because bad players were playing it, but if players are complaining about it too, I hope ASW corrects the issue. Also, am I the only one worried about that pose/freeze during all types of roman cancels? The enemy slowdown is nice and innovative, but I feel that your character freezing and posing really neuters the whole purpose of cancel mixups. I mean, what's the point in canceling, for example, the startup of I-No's ground slide(stroke the big tree) to go into throw or instant overhead or what have you if there's a ~30-60f pause that allows you to collect your thoughts and not have to worry about that possibility ever and just reacting to it visually? I can concede that FRC's were too hard for the casual player, but seriously, their real purpose was mindgames as well as combo extenders. If you take out the mindgames part, you neuter the gameplay.
  17. http://horibuna.web.fc2.com/BBCP/BBCP_IZ.html this page (and this site in general) is just a huge compendium of match vids classified by matchup. It's an awesome resource that spans multiple games.
  18. I'm not arguing whether we're worth it or not. All I'm saying is that currently, the space we have available is unacceptable. Are you satisfied with about 16m2 of space with only 3 setups to cram our whole community in? I sure aren't. If nothing changes, it would seem a good idea to start looking elsewhere.
  19. what I mean is that I don't consider 1,5m2 of area as adequate for calling it useable.
  20. Well I am DAMN surprised. Now if only we could use it.
  21. Yes, it's been from one shittier spot to the next. What's coming next, the broom closet? The space we have right now is so inadequate that we can't physically fit more than 8-9 people in it, notwithstanding the fact that we only have two setups now, and I'd by HIGHLY surprised if they actually replace the broken monitor. If you really wanna get down to it, it's simply a matter of money. Math --> (amount of things we buy)/((The amount of space we take)*(amount of time we stay)) = not worth it anymore compared to other patrons. Simple as that.
  22. I didn't even know wth you were talking about but i did a little research and honestly, tell me with a straight face that -this-(well well, look who's the author of that vid) doesn't look more convenient than the current state of affairs at foonzo. If I didn't know better, I'd think they've been doing as much as they can to push us out without actually saying it directly. I know a bit more on the matter than I'm actually letting on, but suffice it to say that I discussed/complained this with Kirbster about 3 weeks ago and nothing changed, so what I read from that is that there seems to be no volition on the foonzo staff to accomodate us with something even borderline decent, so I think it's time to look for something else.
  23. that is, if they deign give us enough space to even breathe. Rest assured that if it's crowded with other patrons, you'll be asked to move. honestly, i think it's time we start looking somewhere else for our meetups.
