2A vs the aerial world
-
I would but then again you're probably going to dodge me 24/7 anyways lol. I recommend, "cookehmonstah" lololol j/k.
-
@ AXIS and D_E - seriously, I have no idea why I just now tested this shit out. I was satisfied with preventing roll outs but A Bubble does it all lol.
-
Well no more mashing for you on wake-up, I just found out that Bubble A works as true oki; you'll get hit if you try to mash and you'll get caught if you try to roll out or jump out. All that you have left is ID and GB in this situation lol. I'm just glad you're playing Ragna like Ragna and not like Lambda or something lol. You're using ID like you should. You can get away with silly stuff like wake-up 2A because if exists, just like you said lol.
-
I just tested some Bubble oki crap. A Bubble will actually work as true oki, it will catch back rolls and it will actually hit you as soon as you wake up. B Bubble works to avoid the two Yukikazes, parry, and Counter and to catch back rolls, it also disappears quickly for re-use. C Bubble works to catch jump out attempts. I've always just used B Bubble since it disappears quickly. I'll mix it up from now depending on how I condition my opponents lol. It's ok to mash from time to time, you might learn something new that way lol. Edit: Sweet Jesus, what have I been doing all this time? Bubble A catches back rolls, jump out attempts, and works as true oki. Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnngh... C Bubble is pretty much obsolete then lol.
-
The reason it worked was because I was baiting an ID or a Gold Burst, if I had pushed j.B then you would have got CH'd. The bubble itself doesn't actually touch you if you wake up immediately, its sole reason is to prevent roll outs lol. I was like "I wonder if Mami would go over either 5B or 5C at the start of the round, why the hell not?" lol

GGs to LK, Black_Maverick, girlscout, D_E, and some other player match nigz. The thing I love about playing against LK is that I don't have to worry about blue beats with him, unless lag is being gay. That way I don't have to mash A to tech out without getting blue beat lol. lulzy games to Snivy for kicking me after a single loss and NeoKyousuke for playing one match and leaving too. This guy has made me hate Ragnas in general, he hits too hard
-
lulz, nothing to see here, Star is still in his perpetual rag. I mean, Star man, stop being so damn negative all the time and thinking that people are out to get you by trolling and stuffz.

As far as the actual matches go... vs Lambda Try to always IB the D follow-ups (5DD, 6DD, 2DD), Lambdas will go for the D follow-ups 90% of the time. That's free meter and more time to close the distance between Lamb and you. Use TK j.236C when you're at her 5D's range, you'll go over 5D and shoot your j.236C straight at her. She'll be forced to block it if you're close enough to her. In that same note, don't be afraid to use Ice Car if you have the meter to RC; you'll punish 5D attempts if successful or you'll get in if she blocks it. Don't let yourself get bullied by 236D~C. If she does it after 236B, you have enough time to air tech and do j.236C before you touch the ground. You'll be propelled over her 236D~C due to j.236C's "kick-back". I'll be honest, you did poorly against that Ragna. Bad or no hit-confirms at all, bad pressure, etc. As said before, don't let Ragna jump around on you as he pleases, DP A his ass. You did much better against that Lambda, I was like "is this the same guy?" lol. You do jump around a lot but that's not necessarily a bad thing. These guys failed to punish your excessive jumping but people with good reaction will 5A/AA you out of your jumps like nothing. Cut down on those jump and practice better block strings.

The bold text is false, you should always try to add a 5B to those 2D combos if possible. You're right on the j.2C > j.C > 66 5B/5C Sekkajin stuff though. Examples of the optimal 2D combos mid-screen: 2D > j.2C > j.C > 66 5B > 5C > Sekkajin > 6C > 214C 2D > 66 6B > 66 5B > 5C > Sekkajin > 6C > 214C Oh and you can't do the cross-under with 6C > 2D, it has to be off a 5C > 2C > 2D.

GGs Gweg, Septeries, and Joeboy. Playing BB with a headache and foggy contact lenses was probably not the best idea lol. That and lag ruined our matches there, Joe. Would have been a lot more fun without lag but this is the price that comes with netplaying.
-
I usually do either 66 5B or 5C at the start of a match depending on what character I'm facing. That time I just said "fuck it" and paid the consequences. Noel has a couple of moves that can go through my 5C (2D, 5D, and 3C), that's what I get lol.

"Just frame" Yukikaze happens when you catch an attack with Yukikaze on its first active frame. Jin skips the "start-up" and goes straight into the 2nd hit. "Slow" Yukikaze happens when you catch an attack with Yukikaze at any frame after the first active frame. Jin "charges" a bit and then does the 2nd hit of Yukikaze. Try this, have Makoto knock you down and use her Orb oki. Use Yukikaze as soon as you get up and you'll do a "just frame" Yukikaze. Then have her do something slow like 2C or j.2C and use Yukikaze on reaction, you'll do the "slow" Yukikaze.

My God, I even commented on that video and was all hyped about it yet the fucking 2A > Throw Kara Cancel escaped me lololol
-
Ok, I'm hella shitty right now. I'm just now finding out that you can kara cancel stuff into throws/specials/supers during the opponent's super flash. I seriously thought that you could only kara cancel into Barrier. Sweet Jesus, I can finally punish the overused I-frame supers like Ashura and Req Vinum as well as the two Yukikazes.
-
You did a "just frame" Yukikaze, Jin will immediately go into the 2nd hit animation as opposed to waiting a bit before doing so. If you would have done the "slow" Yukikaze, it would have hit him just fine but since you did the "quick" Yukikaze, Bang's I-frames were still active. You don't have to worry about that if you use Gale but you lose out on a lot of damage and swag points.

You don't really have to worry about 2D that much when back-dashing. Jins don't usually employ 2D as a way to stop back-dashing, unless the Platinum is being overly predictable. We usually use 2D after a max range 5C, j.C, or after an Ice Blade (the second option being extremely risky) during block-strings, so if you happen to IB either of those, get ready to do a dash > Barrier forced stop to see what comes next. As said before, 5A, 6A, 2B, 2C, 5B, and sometimes 236A are your friends. 5A beats his 2A, 5B, mid-range 5C, and his jump-in j.B. Max range 5B outreaches his max range 5C and is faster than his 2D and 5D. 2B low profiles under j.C and j.B. 236A can be used to go through his TK j.236C, the rest of the Ice Blades, 5D and 2D, and even Ice Wave if you buffer it during the super flash. 236A can be a godsend when used properly, easy mode 4.5K+ anywhere on the screen off a successful FC. His j.B is slow as fuck, you can 5A him out of it on reaction and avoid eating an Ice Blade if the Jin expects an AA in the form of 6A or 2C. If he does j.2C to jump in, then use either one of your actual AAs. It's all about the distance, if you know j.B's and j.2C's vertical reaches, then you'll know when to use 5A and 6A/2C accordingly. Do not engage Jin in air-to-air combat at max range, his j.C rapes you at that range. If he's outside of j.C's max range, then you can try to air-to-air him with either j.A or j.B. This match is a lot more manageable than it used to be, just as long as you use your tools to their full potential.

I usually only get hit by that shit at the beginning of the match. > "I think I'll use 5C as an opener" > *gets hit by 3C as it low-profiles under my 5C* > FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU It's not really used that much because of how vulnerable you are on whiff and block. It's kinda like doing random Ice/Heart Car, with the added perk of low-profiling under half of Jin's arsenal and doing a shit-ton of damage if it lands lol
-
The thing is, if said player reaches the final available rank at the moment, then that player will keep on winning and playing and the other people will be forced to play that one player endlessly. Of course, it will be more difficult for said player to keep up the killing spree at the higher ranks but there's still a pretty good chance of that happening. Good and bad, makes it neutral, so it's not that bad. I personally don't like it though lol.
-
No kidding, the guessing game with 4D and 2D rivals that of Tager's Buster and AC. That and her 3C goes under a LOT of Jin's crap, gotta be careful of that when she has meter.
-
Moy_X7 I can't say I agree with the whole "... you no longer have to pass if you sweep the room, only when you get a Promotion" thing. There will most likely always be a player that is able to sweep the entire room and when that happens, the rest of the people have to be forced to play the same person over and over again as opposed to playing all the different players in the room. It's a good and a bad thing. It's good because that means that said player will get promoted faster, bad because of the aforementioned reasons. The real reason for me disliking that change is that I'm extremely impatient lol. Just my two cents. Not guaranteed that I'll make it but count me in.
-
True, you're not going to be landing ground 2C FCs as much as you'd want and not at that range, unless you're playing a scrubby masher or someone who does DerpPs. I really need to practice my FC combos, I never expect to land them, and when I do I'm like "lol what do I do?" @eQualz - I just do what I have listed in the combo thread, which I'm guessing is also what you're doing lol.
