Okay, so some quick results: 1) The gear super actually can be combo'd out of properly from any axe level. The reason it was failing for me before was because you can actually attack the opponent too early. If you attack the opponent as early as possible, the final gear hit will happen after you attack, which will cause the opponent to return to neutral before your next attack. 2) It's impossible to do anything into BI-B. It takes around 4 or 5 seconds to come out, which is far longer than any other move can possibly hold the opponent still. It's also impossible to do swords and the gear super at the same time, as they both require the persona.

She has trouble with zoning to a degree, and lots of issues with defense. Doesn't seem altogether like a very strong character, but I don't believe her matchups skew wildly in the opponent's favour, either. Not seeing any matchups she has huge issues with yet, just a lot of matchups where she's not amazing. She can apply very annoying pressure when she has red axe and has huge damage potential, but some characters can get in on her and reduce her axe level to green or blue in a single combo, so it's not like you can depend on having a filled axe gauge. The sword would come out halfway through the gear super, at the latest. They can't be delayed very long. Gears super seems to prorate a lot, too. At green axe (if I recall correctly), doing Gears super and then trying to combo 5AAAA out of it is actually not possible. The combo drops somewhere in the middle of the A string. I'll double check this as soon as I can, though, lol.
-
I'll try it later and let you know, hahaha. That sounds hilarious. I wonder if it's even worth the 150 meter after all that proration.

Can't help with specific challenges, but I'm going to guess you need to rotate the button you're holding the sword down with. For example, if the combo is something like the red axe BI-A combo '...214A+B > 22{B} > dash 2A 2B > 214214A > B Tsurugi Hit > BI-A Hit,' then the way the combo is actually inputted is more like this: '...214A+B > 22B~{C} > dash 2A 2B > 214214A > B Tsurugi Hit > BI-A Hit'. You can hold down alternative buttons to delay the sword release, as long as you swap to holding that button down before the sword summon finishes entering the ground. In the BI-A combo, I can't remember if there's an exact timing for releasing the sword or if you just let it come out at max timing, but the concept is the same regardless.

Pretty sure it's uncomboable. I'll check later and let you know, but I'm pretty sure gear super RC wouldn't last long enough to make BI-B combo, and if it doesn't combo, the opponent can just roll through it.
-
There's virtually no reason to use BI-B, other than to troll. It takes so long to come out, can be rolled through on reaction, drains all axe gauge, and is incredibly punishable after the whiff. The only vaguely legit use of it I can think of is to waste a couple seconds at the end of a round/match for time out. BI-A does more damage than Moujuu-A, I think, but they also take slightly more meter. Your call on using it.
-
That's a reasonable list. I'd add that her options when under pressure aren't very strong, as well. Also, I can now confirm that Brutal Impact B drains all axe meter.
-
Could anyone confirm whether Brutal Impact eats all your axe gauge or not for me? Does the A version not use any and the B version consume all of it? I was initially under the impression that it didn't eat any axe gauge, but I've started rounds with grey axe multiple times, now, after ending the previous round with BI and non-grey gauge. I'm somewhat confused. I may just be remembering things wrongly. 2GB and some other folks pointed out to me that written info states that it eats no gauge, as well. Also, I need more angles on that figure before I can decide if it may be worth buying or not, haha.

It's definitely worth pointing out any useful combos that we don't have listed, so don't worry about it. :P
-
Yeah, we might not have those listed. They're in the combo videos somewhere, though.
-
7D? That would wind them towards you, which makes the winded IAD seem superfluous. Did you mean 9D? There're a number of 'throw 9D IAD j.C land BBL' combos that involve capitalizing on wall bounce.
-
Those are rather nice, haha. I'll have to try them out later.

I'm back from my trip. I feel so behind on everything, haha. Any interesting stuff happen in the last month with Labrys?
-
I admit, I chuckled at both answers. /goes back to listening to Rinne OST.

You can also use the 8wayrun title updater thing for player names and whatnot. Crop the parts that you want, etc. etc. There's a paid version of that thing now, but the free version has all the features we need.

Do you happen to know where those images are?
-
I approve of this methodology, haha.

I choose characters based on looks/sound/etc. and not gameplay, so a character being really godlike or really shitty has no effect on whether I play them or not. xD I suppose it's a form of character loyalty...?

I still enjoy churning Tager online. Like, literally churning. Don't even do combos, just spin the stick and mash A+B+C. You still win games.

If you haven't seen her IK yet, it's in the second video. Youtube mirror: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lJipt8AAEw#t=4m50 It's absolutely glorious.

cross-posting from s.labrys forum/mayonaka midnight, since this is pretty general info for s.labrys:

Pretty sure it's this. That's actually a rather messy way of noting it in the frame data, but I guess they didn't want to put it in the notes section? It's 65 frames from the time Rachel starts summoning George until the time when he can start attacking (assuming ground summon), and 31 frames for the startup of his attack. Slower startup than CS1, better startup than CT.
