I'd like to show up for some CS1 action on Tuesday. I can probably bring my ps3 + BB. I need a ride from I93 exit 2 though. Will pay for gas, etc.

I agree dio's style's interesting. He did well vs. that rachel player. It's just that Buppa is so gdlk and kept Dio real honest with dem chains.

How do you guys like Galileo's Litch? He seems to be a little shaky on execution (compared to say, Fio) but his midscreen game is excellent... And it looks like he really knows how to fight Carl (probably thanks to him fighting 9-1 matchups as Tager lol). Speaking of Carl, which arcade does Dio play on? He's gotta be all over that unblockable setup...

I think it's easy to hate on characters in this game because each char has something broken about him/her. When something's clicking, even mid tier chars can blow shit up. Look at Platinum getting monster damage from CH2c or that heart-forward-hop thing as a starter. Hakumen with a renka starter (but not zantetsu this time? wtf)... Valk's 2c jc j.c instant overhead into RC... Litch still corner raping everyone... Rachel's j.A... etc etc These things are going to suck when you're on the receiving end. Doesn't mean the game is bad. BB's just got a period of awesome (when you're abusing the broken stuff) and a period of suck (when you're eating the shit). I still like each gimmick. Anyway, back to relevant discussion...

Practically everybody there brought his own stick. Some bummed others, etc, but you can definitely use yours. Make sure you hold on to your stuff though, I brought a pad with my own cable, and someone stole my goddamn cable -_-

Oh, yeah, CS2 litch is now pretty fun to watch. In CS1 it was way too flowchart-y. Like, 1 hit midscreen = 5k damage + daisharin oki. So 2 combos = dead. Now her midscreen damage is reasonable and it looks like she has to really capitalize on good starters. Plus more players are doing interesting things with the staff midscreen. CS2 Makoto is like... pressure pressure pressure, hey look, an abare hit -> rc -> corner carry -> projectile oki to death. Oh, and wtf is up with her DP? I noticed that some players will not do the follow up to the DP but instead pick up a combo? Which... carries to corner AGAIN? /rant over. Yeah, sorry, I didn't mean to sound ungrateful for all your hard work man. Thanks for the uploads as always!!

Thanks for having me over last night, it was fun meeting Vyers, David, Capsuletoyco, and Max. Just wait until I get a hold of GG and go learn me some dizzy......!! Though, once CS2 comes out i'm going to be into that.... We should all play, gogogogo

Btw, according to a recent A-cho vid, you can 6a 6c j.D (reload) 2b 6c into short haida -> finisher. Looks pretty sweet. Too lazy to find the vid, it was done by some black noel.

I'm so awful at SF4... How did you know I played Dhalsim though? lol Spacing is definitely more important in CS2, yep. We shouldn't overlook Mu's corner oki though. Way more interesting and deadly than in CS1.

I'll still play Noel here and there, but my god, I'm just not ready for the netplayer tears to my skillful yomi 2d spammage. Also when I started subbing Mu I learned a lot more about oki and setups, and it looks like BBCS2 Mu has a lot to offer in that department.

I thought it got less invul time but crossed up easier now? I certainly didn't see 2d cross up this often in CS1. In CS1 you had to somewhat condition people with 2a or 2b to block low and then 662D to cross up (it actually took effort). From what it looks like on these vids, if someone approaches you on oki with something like Makoto's 2a and Noel mashes 2d while waking up, the move will crossup without having dashed or anything. It's just dumb. I do agree that the pro japanese players haven't really been DP'ing Noel enough (no pun intended). Take Tetsu for example in the recent vid where he got manhandled by Kouya. Kouya drops a combo in the corner, still mashes drive, Tetsu doesn't DP and eats a d.6b overhead. I think Noel's 2D is overpowered as hell now, with it crossing over so frequently. Also they made it so braindead easy to hitconfirm (6a hits crouchers, 5c gatlings from 2c, 22c launches higher so the timing on follow up combos is forgiving, 236a is a universal launcher). She's going to get whined about a LOT... I think she would've been ok with around 3~3.5k from clean drive hit midscreen, and maybe 5k in corner with decent starter + 50 heat for DD ender. Right now she has decent pressure, carries to corner very well and does absurd amounts of damage. Not to mention the best CA in game (Tao's CA got nerfed, Noel's stayed the same.... what?) Still, she still doesn't have DP, struggles in neutral games, and has crap oki/ mixup game. I want to say she looks broken, but just in firepower. ------- END OPINION

I think I can do play by play commentaries like Buppa now. Here's how, in 5 easy steps: 1. AOI!!! for blue beat combos 2. OISHIII for nice hitconfirms, good abare, or nice yomi 3. mandatory KUUUU NAGE for air throws 4. ABURABUREBURA for when it looks like people are mashing 5. COMBO MISU DANA for when people screw up combos. To anyone who watches these Roppou Chariot vids and can understand Japanese... What does Buppa say when he's commenting on some of the lower skilled players? (Say, those <100 PSR players?) A lot of these guys pale in comparison to the known guys, but it sounds like (judging purely by Buppa's tone alone) he still gets excited for good efforts and whatnot. It must kill him inside, since he outclasses the crap out of most of them.

I don't know if this has been answered already, but is it Buppa that is doing the commentaries on these Roppou Chariot vids? I feel like whenever it's Buppa playing, some other person starts commentating.

I think I saw a picture of R-1 in one of those GC tourney reports. Wasn't a girl though.
