  1. But Tager's precurse game got buffed too. 6A might be a useful tool against jB, and jB got nerfed anyway. This matchup HAS to be better, IDGAF about the new buffed precurse mix up, Tager has a theoretical answer to every facet of mix up with a good enough read; he previously had no good answer to well spaced jB then mash curse on block with spaced 5D.
  2. I don't think it's possible for CS2 ara to be as bad of a matchup for anyone. Maybe that's just me. I think Tager will have a much, much, much better time with CS2 ara, for significantly lessened damage and length of curse, and as a result being raped much less for taking risks, especially early in the match before Ara has meter.

  4. Yeah I think it's really ironic you can make fun of my Ragna for not optimizing, then start a combo with 5B near the corner and hit 2.2k with it.. You did 5B 2B 2C 2B 623B 6C jC, you COULD have done 5B 2B 2C 2B 623B d6C jD web d5C 6D (bumper or fuzzy) for about 1k higher with better oki. You could probably spend more resources to press your advantage in some cases. When you're about to win, you can pretty much blow your nails on a huge sleeper string to make it impossible to block the overhead, trick low, or command grab when you throw it (matter of opinion here) You can also use how broken Dnails are to make Valk or any character with a strong AA second guess himself about using an AA, Airdash Dnails stuffs it hard. Be very careful about frequently backdashing for spacing, every time Bang backdashes it gets him VERY close to negative warning.

  6. Here's the thing, I doubt there was a single moment in my matches with Dabbit BK would have helped. I don't want Ara to burst, and I'd sure as hell rather him bursting DOESNT lose me 50 meter, as I really really really need the meter. I would only BK combo Arakune if he has no burst.
  7. The only thing that really matters with Ragna is being able to confirm Gauntlet Hades and counter hit AA DP into full combo. Past that the optimization really doesn't matter at all, and I would usually trade it for gimmick oki or oki options my opponent feels unfamiliar in. Oh, BK combos are pretty important too, but my Ragna is admittedly too free for that.
  8. Tager has incredible difficulty avoiding being cursed. Things that will help you win the neutral game is charging sparkbolt if he lets you, reading 2D and sledging it BEFORE the first hit (Bad read is 100% curse, so be careful..), and just in general not pushing buttons if there's no read attached. Gotta 2C the jB if it was sloppily done, and once you have meter magna tech the tight ones. Good luck, worst case wait for CS2 lol, this is one of the dumbest matchups.

  11. AXIS, depending on your character, there are a couple things that can help a lot with dealing with curse. Unfortunately, I don't really think Tager has any of them. Characters that have a counter assault with strong pushback can have a much easier time with curse in general, so if you save your meter for that situation you'll get out more 'unscathed'. Ragna and other characters with great DPs can reaction DP to certain set ups to make the curse weaker (You can IB Magna Tech wheel as Tager, pretty high risk but what are you risking compared to eventually eating a jC or 2C anyway (Obviously dont try it too often, as there are a TON of traps in curse for people mashing reversal)) Also, save your bursts for the combos that will kill you or gold bursts that are relatively guaranteed to win you a round, imo. If you're really quick on your feet, you can find gaps in curse where a gold burst can net you the win.

  15. Actually, it's highly unlikely j4C loop midscreen works. I've never seen it. His combo was 6C j4C, I believe, then j4C loops in the corner. FRKZ is the new bang. Zanzan is right.
  16. IMO they both got nerfed, but neither one very hard. IMHO Litchi got hit harder than Bang, but Bang needs more development. They both look really good. IMO
  17. There are characters that don't need the corner at all (Makoto, Arakune, for examples), they may be the strongest because of everyone else needing it. However, Bang's extremely potent corner push moves (j623B, daifunka) make it seem pretty easy to get there. :]

Having such a large scale tournament try to feature arcade cabinets is kind of ridiculous I've been to EVO, it would be very very very funny seeing them try to get real cabs into the venue they had last year. (OR, if it was just the board, it would look super ghetto and unprofessional. Both are undesirable) The only reason it would be just impossible is the numbers they try to fit in such a short amount of time. EVO last year for SF4 was literally thousands.. how many cabs can be acquired and run in one place?
  20. A game being at NCI doesn't mean it's dead. Look at BB, now it's at Revelations and EVO with huge pots. Same shit COULD happen for KOF XIII, someday
